Gordon Setters

PUPPY (3,2)

1.    Reid’s Diersett Irridium B, Lovely 7 months bitch giving an excellent overall impression, head nicely balanced, dark eyes and a kind intelligent expression. Long lean neck into well laidback shoulders. Excellent conformation with sound quarters. Presenting a balanced picture, clean tan & good feet. Moved soundly and with drive. Has lots of potential and is one I could happily take home BP, BOB

JUNIOR (4,4)

GRADUATE (4,2)

1.    Wrigley’s Kattandale Black Fern B Sound traditional type that I like, nice head with intelligent expression & good low ear set, correct front construction, nice length, sound quarters,. Carrying a touch of weight so didn’t move with quite the drive I would like RBOB

2.    Hudson’s Longrow Bohemian Rhapsody at Robvale B A heavier bitch and not quite the quality in head of the winner. Good conformation. Strong well-made body. Clear tan. Would also benefit from being in harder condition.

POST GRADUATE (7,4)

1    Inger |& Glover’s Jalewla Juniper Tree B A well coated bitch, but underneath good conformation and not too big. Feminine head of good proportions, good neck, nicely laid back shoulders, sound quarters. A balanced bitch that moved well.

2    Wrigley’s Kattandale Canterbury D, Heavier dog with strong head, but well-constructed front. In hard condition which reflected in his good movement, but not quite the balanced picture I look for.

3    Crowther’s Hernwood Stella Firework B Nice type with correct coat. Pleasant head, low ear set. Good lay back of shoulder & sound quarters. Would prefer a little closer coupled, and wasn’t moving well today.

OPEN (6,4)

1    Reid’s Diersett Sesto Elemento B, Another very well coated bitch, but underneath good conformation. Nice feminine head with pleasant expression, well laid back shoulders, good length of body leading to sound quarters. A balanced bitch that moved well, although not yet back in hard condition, being Dam to the puppy winner!

2    Sandiford’s Hernwood Apollo D, Close 2nd for a well presented upstanding dog with correct coat and balanced profile. Masculine head with pleasing expression just a little strong for me. Very sound quarters, well-muscled and moved well. Just lost out on shoulder construction
