Standard Poodle Club

The Standard Poodle Club Open Show 06.10.18.

My thanks to the officers and committee of the club for their invitation to judge at this show and for all of their hospitality on the day. I had a thoroughly enjoyable days judging even though the weather was so bad on the day. A big thank you to my stewards who helped keep things going and to all of the exhibitors who entered the show.

1st Hardy Mrs C.M. & Mr A.B. Labamba Dirty Sexy Money.

Well balanced black of nearly 7 years who gave his all in the ring. I loved his head which is balanced in length and with with nice chiselling to its sides. Well laid back shoulders to his front which compliment his well bent stifles to his rear and all with good muscle. His chest is deep, reaching his elbows and has well sprung ribs. Presented in good harsh coat he moved well around the ring with style.

Kliuchnikowa Mrs E Montravia Dream Chaser.

Handsome white youngster presented in a harsh dense coat. Masculine head of balanced proportions with dark almond shape eye. Good front with plenty of bone, shoulders well laid back with good length of upper arms and tight feet with toes arched. Well sprung ribs to his deep chest. His rear was well muscled with a good bend of stifle and a high set tail which he carried up when moving around the ring effortlessly. Best puppy dog and reserve best puppy in show.

1st Winnington Mrs B.M. Fingolfin’s Lone Warrior.

Well balanced black youngster who was presented in fabulous condition throughout. Correct in head with that wicked expression from his almond shaped dark eyes, strong under jaw and nice chiselling to its sides. Good length of neck down to his well made straight front and elbows tucked nicely under his chest. Well muscled rear with well bent stifles and good length from hip to hock. He moved with good reach in front and drive from behind covering the ground well. Reserve best puppy dog.

2nd Vincent Mrs S Khyzahra Khal Drogo.

Quality young black dog who has an absolutely typical head for the breed having both good length and width and good under jaw. Balanced in his front and rear angulation with good depth of chest and a short well muscled loin he moved well around the ring. Presented in great condition with good harsh coat.

1st Butcher Miss M Hendor Break Dancing.

Quality black who was well balanced throughout and full of breed type. Presented in a dense harsh coat he has a masculine head with a good chin, nice chiselling to sides and a dark almond eye giving good expression. Good front angulation with his elbows tucked under his deep chest. Nice tight feet with arched toes and well padded. Well bent stifles to his rear with excellent muscle which he used well to drive with when moving effortlessly around the ring.

2nd Turner Mr C, Orreauva Via Purifico.

Handsome black dog square in shape presented in continental trim correct in head and eye with good length of neck. Straight front with good depth of chest and a well muscled short loin. High set tail carried up when moving around the ring.

1st Keen Miss S, Christame Thats My Boy.

Quality black boy I loved his ring presence as he is well proportioned and balanced throughout. Masculine head of good length and width which he carried proudly when moving. Straight front with well laid back shoulders and covered with good muscle. His chest is deep to his elbow and he has a short well muscled loin with a correct high set tail. His rear angulation complimented his front with well bent stifles and well let down hocks. He moved well around the ring with great drive from behind, covering the ground effortlessly. Reserve best dog.

1st Tod Mrs, Venebling Spirit Of Ecstacy.

A well balanced white presented in a good harsh coat and in a continental trim. Masculine in his head with a dark almond shape eye and nice ear leathers lying close to his skull. Good length of neck down to his well laid back shoulders. Short in his back with a strong broad loin and a well constructed rear. On the move he showed good drive from behind with an effortless striding action.

1st Gleave Miss C, Kertellas Talking In Codes At Montravia.

Simply stunning dog who just took my breath away when I saw him standing and I could have taken him home with me. Full of breed type I loved everything about him and when I went over him his excellent conformation just shone through. Masculine in his head which is in proportion to his size with a strong under jaw with excellent chiselling to sides, dark almond eye giving a wicked expression and long ear leathers lying close to the side. Straight front with elbows tucked under his deep broad chest and well laid back shoulders. Correct rear with a high set tail that he carried up on the move, powerful well muscled and well bent stifles that compliment his front angulation. All of his excellent conformation shone through when he moved as he was able to cover the ground with style showing great drive from his rear. Presented in a gleaming harsh coat and expertly trimmed. A real credit to his owners and breeder and he easily took best dog and best in show.

1st Butcher Miss M, Hendor Extreme Dream.

A beautifully balanced white bitch of 7 years who is full of breed type. Feminine in her head she has a long fine skull with a slight peak and a well defined chin all finished off with her almond shaped dark eyes giving an intelligent expression. Excellent straight front with strong muscles, well laid back shoulders and good return of upper arm. Her body is broad with a deep chest and a well muscled short loin. Her rear construction balances perfectly with her front having well bent stifles covered with strong muscles. Nice tight oval shaped feet with arched toes and well padded. Her construction showed in her effortless movement as she covered the ground with great drive from behind. Presented in good harsh coat it was my pleasure to award her best bitch, reserve best in show and best veteran in show.

2nd Tod Mrs, Janavons Dear Prudence.

Again a quality white lady presented in a lamb trim of 10 years who gave her all in the ring. Slightly heavier built than winner but she has a beautiful expression from her dark almond shaped eyes. Good front and rear assembly with excellent muscle tone she was able to move well around the ring with good drive from behind.

1st Garbutt Mrs N, Kertellas Live Your Dream At Tianola.

I loved this very promising beautifully balanced black youngster of just over 6 months. She has a correctly proportioned feminine head with a good chin and a dark almond shaped eyes. Good length of neck which carried her head proudly when moving. Straight front with nice tight feet, well laid back shoulders and her elbows tucked under her deep chest. Short back with a well muscled loin and correct tail set. Powerful well muscled rear with good bend of stifles which she used to drive well with. Presented in a dense harsh coat she moved with style around the ring. One to watch in the future as she matures and goes on to win top honours in the ring. Best puppy bitch, best minor puppy bitch and pleased to award her best puppy in show.

2nd Dawson Mrs B.S. & Mr C.R, Kamarri Born To Be Wild.

Black bitch of correct size and presented in good harsh coat. Correct in her head with a pleasing expression from her dark almond shaped eyes. Good front and rear angulation all with good muscle which she used well when moving showing a good driving action from her rear.

A beautiful well balanced young black bitch presented in a dense harsh coat. Nicely proportioned feminine head with a slight peak to her skull, good chin and dark almond shaped eyes. Straight front with good muscle and well laid back shoulders. Good depth of chest which reaches her elbows and short in her back. High set tail carried clear of her back when moving. Her rear angulation balanced with her front and her thighs were muscular. She moved well around the ring. Reserve best puppy bitch.

Brown young bitch of just 9 months. Correct in her head with dark almond eye and ears lying close to her skull. Well made front with a deep chest and nice muscle. Short broad loin and a well muscled rear assembly which she used well when moving. Presented in good harsh coat.

2nd Wasowska Miss A, Somatern Dana.

Very refined silver bitch of 7 months. Pleasing head with nice chin and correct eye shape I just would of preferred to have seen more substance in her.

Beautifully balanced black bitch presented in good harsh coat. Feminine in her correctly proportioned head which has nice chiselling to its sides, good chin, dark almond shaped eyes and long ear leathers lying close to its sides. Long neck down to her well laid back shoulders with good muscle. Her chest is moderately broad and deep with well sprung ribs. Muscular short loin and a correct high set tail. Her rear balances her front well and is well muscled with a good bend of stifle. She moved with a good driving action around the ring.

2nd Nugent Miss M, Janavons Blue Wonder.

Well balanced bitch presented in continental trim with good coat and muscle. Correct in her head which is balanced in profile. Good front and rear angulation which she used well when moving effortlessly around the ring.

Quality blue bitch presented in good coat and well balanced both on the stack and when moving. I loved her head which is feminine and well proportioned. Her skull is long with a slight peak to it, good chin and well chiselled sides. Correct almond shape to her eye giving an intelligent expression. Good front with straight legs, well laid back shoulders and elbows nicely under her deep chest. Her loin is broad and well muscled and her tail is high set and she carried it up on the move. Powerful rear with good angulation that compliments her front and showed in her effortless movement, with great drive as she covered the ground. Reserve best bitch.

Balanced black bitch of 5 years and presented in a harsh dense coat she has a typical head of correct proportions with good chin and nice chiselling to its sides. Well made front with a good layback of shoulder and strong muscles. Oval tight feet with arched toes. Good body with a deep chest and moderate width. Well made rear with good bend of stifle and well let down hocks. When moving she showed good drive from behind and she covered the ground well.
