THE YORKSHIRE GUNDOG CLUB 25/02/2018 

FIELD SPANIELS 

I must thank the committee for their hospitality at this well run, friendly show. I had an excellent entry consisting of some lovely dogs. 

P. (3 Entries) Abs:1 

1. MOSS Mrs A.E.  Ewtor Gin Fizz – Sweet head of good proportions, presents a balanced profile showing a good reach of neck and level topline, well bodied for age, she moved steadily showing a confident attitude BP. 

2. MOSS Mrs A.E.  Ewtor Bellini – Litter sister to 1 and similar remarks apply, thought her slightly better in forehand, she is well bodied with a good profile. Not as confident as her sister at the moment and not as outgoing on the move. I’m sure these two will change places often. 

J. (5 Entries) Abs:1 

1. MCVITTY Ms M. Sonnetend Faith – Feminine in head with a kind, well-shaped eye and well set on ears, neck of good length leading into well laid shoulders, strong topline, correct flat bone and tight feet, good length and depth of rib and well-muscled rear, moved well once settled.  

2. WHEELER Mrs D. Sonnetend Careless Whisper – This mischievous young man caught my eye as he entered the ring, he has a well-proportioned handsome head, correct eye shape and a rather cheeky expression, he is well balanced with a firm topline, ample flat bone and tight feet, good depth and substance for his age, he has plenty of time to settle to the job in hand.

G. (4 Entries) Abs:0 

1. MOORE Ms C. Elgert China Girl For Gadhelic – Lovely b showing an outgoing happy temperament, feminine in head with nice chiselling, eyes of correct shape and colour with a kind expression complimented by lowset ears, she has the desired flat bone and stands on good feet.  Lengthy neck leading into a firm, level topline, good forehand showing plenty of forechest, shows good depth and length of rib, moderate bend of stifle and very well muscled which showed in her precise, strong movement, well presented RBOB.

O.( 8 Entries) Abs:1 

1. TAYLOR Mr H. & Mrs S. Elgert Take A Bow With Tayowen – Substantial, eyecatching male with an air of nobility and outgoing attitude, he has strong flat bone and stands on good feet. His head is of correct proportions showing desired chiselling and raised brow, he has kind, expressive, well shaped eyes. Strong neck leading into well laid shoulders with good return of upper arm, shows plenty of forechest, good depth of brisket, firm in topline and correct length and spring of rib, his hindquarters are wide and muscular. His excellent conformation showed in his effortless, strong movement with correct footfall. BOB and made first cut for BIS, well done. 

2. TAYLOR Mr H. & Mrs S. Sh Ch Tayowen Touch Of Elegance – Very typical mature b, her head is so feminine with the right amount of chiselling and slightly raised brow, she has the gentlest of expressions from eyes of the correct shape and colour. She has good bone and substance and has well balanced angulation fore and aft. Sound steady mover.
