I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge and for all those who entered under me. I had a very enjoyable morning and two very efficient stewards who were a pleasure to work with. I was pleased to have some excellent exhibits to go over.

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Puppy (1/0)

1st Whitman & Tarabad’s Khatibi Amber Lynne, near 11 month ruby bitch, gorgeous head with a soft, gentle expression, correct dentition, very feminine and completed with large dark eyes. Maintained a level topline both on the stand and moving with well set tail and good tail carriage. Straight front with good bone and well laid back shoulders, good turn of stifle in the rear and straight, well let down hocks. Compact all over and perfect size. Soft, silky coat with a rich red colour and a glossy finish. Very promising puppy who had an outgoing and friendly personality and showed with exuberance throughout. Awarded BP and pleased to hear Puppy Group 1.

1st Whitman & Tarabad’s Khatibi Amber Lynne

2nd Wimberley & Newman’s Trishine’s Celestial Dream with Finjaro, 15 month Blenheim male, came across some tough competition today. Very nice head with a masculine yet gentle expression with gorgeous large dark eyes, correct dentition. Rich chestnut markings and good feathering all over. Larger than my ideal, but excellent conformation at the front with good depth of chest, straight front and well sprung ribs, and at the rear with good turn of stifle and strong, straight hocks which meant he had very good drive from the rear on the move and maintained a level topline throughout.

Post Graduate (7/2)

1st Hutchin’s Frondil’s Office Ed, 20 month ruby male, gorgeous head with melting expression and large dark eyes, yet still clearly a male, correct dentition. Perfect topline and tail set both on the stand and on the move. Rich ruby red typical of the breed, with an excellent shine and good feathering all over. Good front angles with moderate bone, short coupled and with good turn of stifle at the rear. Had a tendency to hanker down at the rear, but once stood correctly was perfectly four square and his movement was parallel throughout with excellent drive from behind giving an excellent outline. Awarded RBOB.

Open Dog (4/0)

1st Whitman & Tarabad’s Khatibi Bark Obama JW, just over 2 year old b/t male, another gorgeous head from this kennel, with the gentlest of expressions and expressive large dark eyes, correct dentition. Excellent outline on the stand with level topline and tailset, both maintained on the move. Well laid back shoulders leading to straight front with good depth of chest and well sprung ribs. Good turn of stifle leading to strong, well let down hocks with good bone all over. Moved with drive from the rear and elegance around the ring, with his glossy raven black coat completing the picture. Pleased to award BOB and hear he also achieved Toy Group 3.
