WEIMARANERS

Many thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge their 75th Anniversary Open Show and thank you to the exhibitors for a lovely entry.

P (2,1a) 1 Matthews’ Silvermews Shiomi. 10 month old bitch. Feminine head. Lovely clean neck into well placed shoulders. Nicely angulated front and rear. Brisket down to elbow and adequate forechest. Good bone. Lovely length of back and level topline. Shown in lovely condition. For a youngster she moves so well, covering the ground and didn’t put a foot wrong. Although she stood alone she is quality through and through and I was pleased to award her BP.

J (3,3) Quality class of youngsters who could have easily swapped places. 1 Mutlow’s Braefell Goshawk. Really liked this youngster. 17 month old male. He has a lovely head and neck into well placed shoulders. Lovely bone and feet. Correct length of back and nicely angulated front and rear quarters. Moved well. RBOB. 2. Beagrie’s Gunalt Audio. Another lovely young male of 15 months. Stood he looked a picture. Slightly larger all round than my winner. He has a lovely masculine head without being course. Loved his overall body proportions and level topline. Nicely angulated front and rear. It took his handler a while to settle him on the move but when he was settled he went well maintaining his topline. 3. Sayer & Wallwork’s Braefell Firecrest.

O (2,2) Two very different types in this class but both were very sound. 1 . Filby & Brown’s Desjiem American Pie JW ShCM Loved his head, correct length of ear and nice amber eyes. He is built on smaller lines and nothing is exaggerated at all. Good clean neck into well placed shoulders. Nicely angulated front and rear, brisket down to his elbow. Correct length of back. Shown in lovely muscular condition and he is a lovely colour to complete the picture. Moved well BOB. 2. Mercuri’s Weipowa Imperium (AI) Lovely head and expression another with lovely amber eyes. Heavier built with an ample forechest. Brisket down to elbow. Good bone and feet. I felt that he looked better when he was freestood as he seemed more relaxed. He moved very well and seemed to be enjoying his day out.
