I'd like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge at their very well run, slick show, and also to thank the exhibitors for entering under me. Here is my critique for Chihuahuas both coats...

Chihuahua Longcoat

Puppy (2,1)

1] Jones' FLICKAN FRAZZLE. Six months old, Cream and white, male. Very pleasing head with good ear set, good stop, large dark round eyes and good dentition. His movement was a bit erratic but after all he is very new to this game. (BP)

Junior (2,1)

1] Ayres' JUCHI HILDA OGDEN. Sixteen months old, blue fawn, female. Nice head with good ears, good stop, large round eyes, and lovely teeth. Good reach of neck, level top line with a good tail set and carriage. Moved very well around the ring.

Graduate (4,0)

1] Jones' FLICKAN FLIBBERTIGIBBET. Two years old, cream with black mask, female. Good head with large flaring ears, good stop, large eyes and beautiful teeth. Nice level top line with a good tail set. Super front action with good rear drive, very nice mover. (RBOB)

2] Lodwick's POCOPERRO LEILA. Nearly two years old, cream and white, female. Lovely head with large ears, big dark eyes, good stop, nice teeth and super temperament. Good level top line, great tail set and carriage. It was so hard to choose between the rostrum dogs in this class but in the end I liked the movement of 1 better.

4] Wheeldon's CAPEVIDELS STARGAZER.

1] Lodwick's POCOPERRO ALICIA. Two years old, gold and white, female. As you'd expect from this kennel - very pretty head with good ear set and large dark round eyes, good stop and a correct bite. Nice reach of neck, level top line, super tail set and carriage. Moved with great style around the ring (BOB)

2] Jones' FLICKAN FLORINA. Three years old, cream and white with a black muzzle, male. Strong head with large well held ears , big dark round eyes, good stop and great teeth. Nice reach of neck, level topline, good tail set and carriage. Moved well with good drive. Again it was a tough choice but I just liked the expression of 1 better.

1] Cove's YVEANJELIC BEST CHINA FOR MITIMNU. Eleven months old, cream, female. Delightful puppy, so full of confidence - I'm sure she'll have a bright future. Very good head with large dark eyes, lovely ears, good stop and good teeth. Good reach of neck, level topline, good tail set. She bounced more than walked round the ring but it was plain that everything was working well (BP, RBOB)

Junior (2,0)

1] Ayres' STANGHURST HIGH FLYER. Seventeen months old, fawn sable, male. He was very shy on the table but easy to see that he's got a good head with large ears, big round eyes, good stop and nice teeth. Well proportioned dog who moved well once he had settled.

2] Cove's YVEANJELIC THINK PINK MITIMNU. Fifteen months old gold and white, female. Good head but maybe her ears were carried just a bit high, large eyes , good stop, good teeth. good neck, level topline, great tailset and carriage. She seemed to move low to the ground but covered the distance well.

1] Brown-Percival's COPYMEAR CACTUS FLOWER WITH SANDIMAN. Eigtheen months old, tri colour, Female. What can I say.... I just loved this little bitch - a real eye-catcher with such a cheeky character. Very pretty head with well placed ears, large dark round eyes, good stop and great teeth. NIce reach of neck with a level top line and good tail set and carriage. Moved very well with great drive.
