Thank you very much to the committee for this appointment and to my lovely steward for her help. Also thank you to the exhibitors for your entries.

Class 281 Puppy (2/2)

1st 447 Stocks’ Pandamax Lady Martini to Nospar. Just six months old, this black spotted bitch is full of quality. Feminine head with the darkest of eye and a mischievous expression, already she uses her ears well to frame her face. Excellent length of muzzle with the correct bite. Nicely arched neck into well laid shoulders and good upper arm, front is developing nicely. Excellent bone and substance, straight fronts and fabulous, tight feet. Well ribbed with a good topline. Well balanced rear angulation, good depth of thigh for her age and muscles developing. A little proud of her tail but this should settle with time. Finished with beautifully bold spotting on a sparkling white coat. Her movement is loose with that typical puppy roll but she covers the ground and drives herself well around the ring. A cracking puppy whose career I will watch with interest. Best Puppy in Breed.

2nd 441 Chappell’s Nalderhill Aphrodite at Waltzaway. Almost 9 month old bitch with rich liver pigmentation and good eye colour. Correct bite. Lovely reach of neck into good shoulders. Excellent bone, straight fores and tight cat feet. Ribs well sprung and carried well back. Good topline and tailset. Another with balanced rear angulation and muscles developing well. A very happy girl who got a little carried away on the move, she just needs time and a bit more training to really show herself off.

Class 282 Special Yearling (0/1)

Class 283 Limit (2/2)

1st 442 Finch & Bonner’s Sophtspot Hocus Pocus at Dalticino. 2 year old beautifully elegant black bitch, with so much character. Pretty head with such dark eyes and intelligent expression. Flat skull with good stop, nice length of muzzle, strong jaw with the correct bite. Long, well arched neck into good shoulders and upper arm. Straight fores with good spring of pastern, I would prefer tighter feet. Good front, deep chest with good ribs, level topline and good tailset. Strong loin, good turn of stifle with excellent musculature. Superb hocks which she used to power herself around the ring with a ground covering, rhythmic action. Handler really knew how to get the best from her. Reserve Best of Breed.

2nd 444 Heald’s Offordale Cashel. 3 year old black spotted bitch who was a bit overawed. Lovely head with dark eye and well broken ears. Nice length of neck with good front angulation. Excellent bone down to tight cat feet. Well ribbed with a level topline and correct tailset. Good rear angulation. Unfortunately she was difficult to assess both standing and on the move as she was very erratic. A shame as she has lots of potential.

Class 284 Open (3/4)

1st 448 Stocks’ Nospar’s Shaded Lanson JW. 4 year old masculine liver with great presence. Strong head, nice amber eyes with an intelligent expression. Uses his well broken ears to frame his face. Strong jaw with the correct bite. Arched neck into muscular, well laid shoulders and balanced front angulation. Superb round bone, good spring of pastern and excellent cat feet. Deep chest with plenty of heart room. Good ribbing, level topline and muscular loin. Good turn of stifle with well-defined hocks, excellent clean muscles and great second thigh. He is in such solid condition all through, a true stallion. Covered the ground with a free, powerful action, tracking well from all angles. Excellently handled. Best of Breed and delighted to see him win the Utility Group.

2nd 443 Graham’s Dotlun Sorellas Phancy. 4 year old black spotted girl who has the sweetest temperament with a melting expression. Very feminine but not lacking in substance. Excellent pigmentation and she has the darkest of eyes, good length of muzzle and correct bite. Long, tapered neck into nice shoulders. Straight fores into good feet. Ribs carried well back, good topline and tailset. Nicely angled at the rear with good muscling. Moved elegantly around the ring with a good length of stride.
