Spanish Water Dogs

Thank you to all the exhibitors for allowing me to go over your dogs on this hot day, it was a pleasure. A good entry of quality dogs, I would be happy to take any one of these dogs home!

Puppy (1,1)

Junior Dog/Bitch (3)

1 Valentisimo’s Brianna 17mth Brown bobtail bitch. A cracking young bitch, one I’ve loved since I saw her out as a pup. On the smaller side but of correct proportions and shown in excellent condition. Lovely head and expression with correct flat skull and length of muzzle. Scissor bite, nostrils well open, neat well set ears. Short muscular neck, strong level back and strong loin, deep chest, well sprung ribs, well boned straight legs with tight round feet. Matching moderately angled, well muscled hindquarters with well let down hocks. In super curled woolly coat of a good length. Powerful brisk sound movement. Appeared to be feeling the heat a bit in the challenge. RBOB 

2 Valentisimo’s Vasco Balboa A good sized 17mth Brown dog, shown in excellent coat and condition. Masculine head of correct proportions. Good amount of bone and good depth and spring of rib for age, nice tight elbows. Correct front angulation. A touch longer in body and more angled in the hindquarters than his litter sister. Moved with power and drive.

3 Newmoorhill Galaxy Ripple 15mth bobtail dog. Smaller dog, in excellent coat of good length. Would prefer a bit more length of leg. Moved well.

Graduate Dog / Bitch (3)

1 Mountairy Country Boy for Newmoorhill Quality substantial 2yr old Black & White dog of good breed type. Strong head with well open nostrils, scissor bite and neat ears. Short, muscular neck set well into the shoulders. Strong, straight, well boned legs. Level back. Moderately angled, well muscled hindquarters. Well sprung deep ribs. Correct 9:8 length:height ratio. In excellent coat. Moved with power and drive. Was close up to the bitches in the challenge today.

2 Adormidera Ziggy Star Dust 20mth promising Black dog. A lovely head and expression on this happy, lively boy! Still immature and needing a bit more breadth of skull, depth of chest and spring of rib, emphasised by his lack of coat today. Has correct moderate angulation fore and aft and enough bone to fill into. Longer in body than 1. Couldn’t quite get it together with his handler today but showed nice correct movement when he did.

3 Prizelands Bella Bon Nita A sweet 2yr old Brown & White bitch of excellent proportions. Not in the best coat today. Moved correctly just carried her tail a bit high.

Open Dog / Bitch (2,1)

1 Adormidera Queen Katherine 4yr old substantial Black bitch. Strong but elegant head of correct planes and proportions, correct flat, moderately broad skull and desired muzzle length slightly shorter than length of skull. Scissor bite. Would prefer a slightly smaller ear. Strind short muscular neck, well laid back shoulder and corresponding return of upper arm, matching moderately angled hindquarters with well let down hocks. Straight well boned, well muscled legs with tight round feet. Chest deep with well sprung ribs. Correct length of back to height ratio. Level back with strong short loin. In super curled, woolly coat and hard, well muscled condition. Moved briskly with power and drive. Ease of movement in the challenge won her the BOB
