1st Bostock’s Plainfire’s Trapped In A Comic Book (Imp Che) up to size, well balanced dog and of a good shape. Lovely head with flat skull and well set expressive dark eyes. Well set on small ears, used to advantage. Good neck and shoulder placement. Well boned legs and round well arched feet. Deep chest & well sprung ribs. Topline firm when standing and on the move. Muscular hindquarters. Moved out well and soundly

Graduate (2)

1st) Ross’ Go With The Flow Ebony In Harmony at Qlocontrail (Imp Ned) JW ShCM, lovely sized male of a very typical shape and pleasing outline. Masculine head, a little too broad in skull for my preference but he has a lovely eye and good expression. Good length on neck leading into well placed shoulders. Deep chest and well ribbed body with the correct gradual spring, leading back into a nice short loin. Topline held firm at all times with a well set on tail. Well muscled hindquarters which he used to advantage on the move, powering around the ring with style and ever so sound. Presented in supeb conditionBOB & G3

2nd) Buckley’s Buckleyhill Finava Legacy larger boy than my winner but present a good outline when standing. Masculine head of the correct shape and good eye. Good to go over with correct front and rear angulation. Moved out well just not the drive of my winner. Presented well.

1st) Buckley’s Buckleyhill Venus lovely old girl of a really nice size and shape. Pretty long head with correct flat skull. Expressive eyes and well set on small ears. Good depth of chest and well ribbed back into a short firm loin. Carrying a little too much weight today. Moderately angulated in the rear with decent muscle tone. Moved around the ring with the correct free flowing action and ever so sound.

Junior (1)

1st) Thompson’s Testaverde Back For Good handsome Brown Roan male who is still all baby and needs to drop into himself but really does have all the essentials there. Typical shape and well balanced. Strong masculine head of correct proportions with well placed expressive eyes. Well muscled neck leading into strongly muscled and laid back shoulders. Good bone and tight elbows and a great depth of chest. Well sprung ribs, muscular hindquarters. Good wiry coat and thick skin. Moved out well and with purpose, just needs to settle on the up and back BP & PG3

Open (2,1abs)

1st) Bennett’s Hochopepa Gladys Emmanuel gorgeous Brown Roan bitch that has a stamp of quality. Presents a lovely typical outline when standing and ever so well balanced. Feminine head with good furnishings and with correct divergent planes, skull gently sloping, muzzle of good depth. Strong well muscled neck into well laid back shoulders. Prominent chest bone with a deep chest and a good spring of rib that reaches well back. Correct topline that rises and falls and correctly sloping croup. Good oval bone and tight feet. Well angulated rear with hocks well let down and good muscle tone. Moved freely and sound. BOB & Shortlisted in a strong group.

1st) Bain’s Dunnydals Hajna is Gracious nice baby girl who really is a baby and does need time to mature and fill out but has lovely height to length ratio. Very pretty head of a decent shape but still needs time to develop. Very nice to go over with everything flowing into place. Good length of neck leading into well placed shoulders. Good depth of brisket and moderately sprung ribs set well back into a short loin. Straight forelegs and good neat feet. Really came alive on the moving being ever so sound and driving effortlessly from the rear. Firm topline and well set on & carried tail. BOB, BP & PG2

1st) Smith’s Ewtor Affinity for Flyenpyg JW ShCM, Field Spaniel bitch of a good size and lovely outline. Well chiselled head, with good almond shape eye giving a gentle expression. Long, muscular neck leading into well placed sloping shoulders. Well developed chest of a good depth. Strong loin and level topline held firm at all times. Moved out well and soundly just flagged in the group due to the heat.

2nd) Wright’s Erikachen Daithi of Wrightpaw JW ShCM Nova Scotia male, Masculine head of the correct wedge shape and keen alert eyes. Ears set well and of the correct shape. Adequate length of neck leading OK placed shoulders but I would prefer a better lay back. Plenty of body and substance. Firm topline held well at all times with a correctly set on tail which he used to advantage. Excellent muscle tone and condition. He moved well around the ring and soundly. Shown in great coat and condition.

2nd) Yankee Good Will Tira Misu at Aalincarry, young Yellow male of a nice size and shape. Well balanced strong outline when standing. Broad skull with well placed, dark eyes. Ears set well and used to advantage. Strong neck leading into well placed shoulders. Deep chest and correct barrel ribs. Well boned forelegs and good tight feet. Level topline held well at all times. Moved out well and soundly. In-between coats but aren’t most of them at this time of year?

1st) Mason’s Sh Ch Freebreeze As You Like It ShCM really super Pointer bitch who had to work hard today to top this excellent veteran class. 10 year old bitch who presents a lovely typical outline when standing. Feminine balanced head with a gorgeous expression, well set ears with thin leathers. Clean, neck of a good length leading into well laid shoulders. Good depth of brisket down to her elbow. Ribs carried well back, into short, strong loin. Well muscled hind quarters which she really used to advantage on the move, moving out with style and lashing her tail at all times. A really quality bitch.

2nd) Loynd’s Richecca Sea the Stars at Crimbledale ShCM English Setter Blue Belton bitch and another who has that look of quality and shown in the most glorious coat and condition. Well balanced shape with good body and substance. Feminine head of the correct shape and gives a lovely expression. Good length of neck leading into well placed shoulders. Excellent depth of chest and well sprung ribs leading into a good short loin. Well angulated hindquarters. Moved out well with a good side profile and ever so sound.

3rd) Scott & Briggs’ Largymore Lady Brachla JW

1st) Loynd’s Crimbledale Seeing Stars JW An absolutely beautiful Orange Belton English Setter bitch, that really stole my heart, shown in fantastic coat and condition. She completely fills the eye when standing and is so well balanced and so full of breed type. Super feminine head of the correct shape, glorious expression and low set ears. Well sprung ribs and good short loin. Excellent substance and depth throughout. Well off for bone and correct tight feet. Strong topline and correctly set tail which she never stopped using on the move. The ultimate showgirl who never once flagged in the heat. A really sound mover and so full of ring presence. Surely must gain her title as she truly deserves it. I was delighted to award her G1.

2nd) Calvert’s Calvdale Hot Momma B/W ESS bitch that really takes the eye. Super shape and well balanced. Gorgeous head, with such a gentle kind expression coming from a correct almond shaped eye. Good length of neck leading into well placed shoulders. Great depth of chest and well sprung ribs leading well back into a good short loin. Carrying slightly too much body condition for me today. Well boned legs and feet. Moderately angulated hind quarters with excellent muscle tone which she used to drive around the ring with some style. Unfortunately felt the heat a little more than the English Setter in the final run which is what swayed my decision but a really lovely girl who should continue to do well. Presented in superb coat and condition.

4th) Loynd’s Anlory Poachers Brook Join Crimbledale Very pretty bitch that is so well balanced and presents a lovely outline when standing. Super shape and make with the correct gently sloping topline. Feminine head with lovely dark eyes, giving a nice expression. Very pleasing to go over, with a good length of neck leading into well placed shoulders. Good depth of chest and well sprung ribs set right back. Nicely boned straight forelegs with good tight feet. Well turned stifle with good muscle tone to hindquarters. Topline held firm with tail set right off her back. Moved out well and soundly, just another that felt the heat a little today.

Gundog Puppy Group

1st) Chandler’s Chanangel Mistletoe N’Wine, very exciting 6 month WSS bitch who has so much to offer. Symmetrically built, compact baby who presents a nice outline and shape when standing. Feminine head with good chiselling beneath her well set dark eyes. Good length of neck leading into sloping shoulders. Excellent depth to chest & well bodied for one so young. Well boned forelegs with good round feet. Muscular hindquarters which she used to move around the ring freely and very soundly for one so young. Won this puppy group with some to spare and I was thrilled to hear she went all the way to BPIS under Mr Joe Smith! Very well done! I am sure there is a lot more to come from this one!

4th) Morris’ Jennobar A Touch of Magic, pretty Cocker bitch that presents a lovely compact outline when standing. Very feminine head with gorgeous dark eyes that give a melting expression. Well made with good front and rear angulation. Carrying a little too much weight for me today but nevertheless moved out very soundly and with some good drive. Presented in excellent coat and condition.
