Shropshire Gundog

Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge. I would like to say thank you to my steward Maud, who was so organised. I travelled to this show whilst on my holiday in the New Forrest, it was a very long journey, but the quality of dogs was worth the trip.

Puppy

1st Hart’s Ianbro Mystic Quartz Shines at Gilliegrae

Pretty baby of good type. Pleasing head proportions with good stop and a kind eye. good straight front assembly. Well sprung ribs and strong rear hindquarters. Moved with drive with pleasing tail carriage. Will watch this baby with interest. BP

Gradute

1st Ward’s Courtdown Fair maid of Devon.

Good head proportions with adequate stop. Good front assembly, pleasing spring of rib, short coupled. Good turn of stifle.

1st Hart’s Gilliegrae Swift N’ Chic

Quality bitch, plenty of substance. Really liked her head and expression, best of shoulders and front, well balanced, good depth of chest, well sprung ribs and strong hindquarters. Good tailset Moved with reach and drive. BOB. So pleased to see she went BEST IN SHOW.

2nd Wards Sh Ch Ballakinnish Mischief making Copperwhite JW Sweetest of head with good proportions and kind expression. Best of  front and well laid shoulders just didn’t move as well as winner. Rbob

Puppy (4,0 absent)

1st Smith’s Sniperay Lord Lambourne via tzatziki

Liver and white male. Liked this boy a lot, good dark eye, nice head, good arch of neck and strong shoulders, correct oval bone, standing on good feet, good depth of chest, well ribbed, good turn of stifle. Nothing over done on this boy. Movement was a little erratic going away at times but pulled it together to win the class. BP

2nd Fox and Stilgoe Alcazar Bewildered of Dappleline

Black and white bitch. Good head, sweetest epression. Clean through neck on to good shoulders. Correct oval bone, on good feet. Well ribbed. Good turn of stifle, hocks well let down. Moved ok.

Junior (2,1) 

1st Stokes. Hawkfield Castaspell over Guanabara

Lovely little liver bitch. Pleasing, well chiselled head, good leathers, prefer a darker eye. Well balanced through out and that was evident on the move. Good topline, good front assembly with correct oval bone, on good feet, well ribbed, well turned in stifle. Moved true. Very elegant which won her BOB.

2nd Saunders phlynnies prince of thieves

Black and white male, well up to size. Good head, pleasing dished appearance and good stop. Good leathers. Clean through neck and shoulders, correct oval bone. Good mover, powered round the ring with purpose. Just preferred the elegance of 1st.

2nd Astbury’s Millpoint Simply in step with Dorbury JW

My notes say the best of heads. Different type to 1. Good front assembly, well boned on correct feet. Well ribbed, a little longer cast that winner. Good turn of stifle. Moved true.

1st Tregaskis’ Moenfair Spicewood Summer

Striking, well-muscled Black and white male. Pleasing well chiselled head, good stop. Good front construction, Well balance with good angulation fore and aft. Moved well. RBOB

2nd Weaver’s Anniezu Lovely Day ShCm

Orange and white male. Another well musled male. Pleasing head, well laid shoulders, correct oval bone. Little upright in pastern. Moved well.
