Red Rose Charity Open Show

Thank you to the committee for the invite and the Swedish Vallhund Society for the Sponsorship and support at this show, not huge numbers but quality throughout. A lovely lunch, and super weather (hotest day of the year and hotest Bank Holiday Monday on record) and though I am not sure the committee was entirely responsible for that, they did have 3 outside rings and made the most of it. My ring was in the shade so perfect for the dogs. Some dirty teeth which could do with a polish but did not detract overly from the overall picture.

1st Mr GD and Mrs LC Simpsons Mystarz Muzik Maestro of Vallholme (D) – nearly 15 months old lovely looking well marked full tail boy. Good front but like so many of this age he needs to tighten a little behind, this tends to come with age. Has a good dark overlay to his coat and holds level his top line on the move. RBOB

1st Mr AJ and Mrs S Drinkwaters Galeteria Goji Berry (D)  - nearly 18 moth old full tailed lad. A lot to like about this young boy, good head and neck, well marked, good rear angulation with lovely tight feet. Moved well, needs to body up but this is a slow maturing breed and that will come in time,  overall picture already there. Throwing his coat due to the weather which is usual for this breed at this time of year. BOB

2nd  Mr GD and Mrs LC Simpsons Starvon you Sexy Thing of Vallholme (B) – 4 year old Red Girl with a lot to like about her shape and angulation, good head shape, tight feet, moves OK but there is just not enough of her – has already totally thrown her coat this year and looks more like 18 months than a fully mature adult, which is a shame as she is lovley.

1st Mrs KM & MissTJ Irvings Twinan Lifes a Blast (D) – 11 month old stuning young boy. Whats not to like about him super head and jaw, correct bone and feet, correct eye and ear set in full coat despite the weather and carried himself so well until the challenge where I think he was more interested in getting to mum than strutting his stuff, good movement and super type when stacked,pushed for BOB and I am sure once older will be one to watch. 1st 1st Mrs KM & MissTJ Irvings Born To Be Your Salt Dog at Twinan (Imp Hun) (D) – 19 month old lovely boy who just strutted his stuff and showed every feature to perfection. Great head eyes and ears, super shape both front and rear, great feet and legs. Every bit the showman movement looks easy and purposeful. BOB pleased to see him go onto win Group1 & Reserve Best In Show.
