Golden Retriever Club Of Scotland

Golden Retriever Club of Scotland  10th June 2018

I would like to thank the Committee and Members for inviting me to judge at this Breed Open Show and for their warm, friendly and generous hospitality which matched the weather and the lovely venue. I would also like to thank the exhibitors for such an excellent entry. With the exception of one dog, due to a certified medical operation, all the exhibits had correct bites. All my top placed dogs were certainly fit for purpose but certainly a number of dogs were carrying a little too much weight for my liking. A number of dogs were disadvantaged by the handlers’ lack of skill. This show appears to buck the trend for low entries at Breed Open Shows, nationally. They are such great social events and opportunities to learn. I wish to particularly thank my Stewards, one a first timer, for their sterling work.
