BEST IN SHOW. A lovely line up of quality dogs and I thank my fellow judges for sending them through. BIS was the Pointer I had judged earlier McGilp’s Sh Ch RIDANFLIGHT RUBY TUESDAY AT FORTHBOURNE who showed her head off all day. RBIS and SpBPIS was the young Whippet Place’s AARMINIAS LUV THE WAY YOU LIE just 9 months who could show a lot of the adults just what true symmetrical movement should look like. Masculine head without coarseness. Beautiful neck and shoulders, rise over the loin. Excellent sympathetic handling. On today’s showing a bright future awaits. BV Coutts Wire Fox Terrier Ir Ch BROCOLITIA TALK O THE NORTH looks and moves a lot younger than his age. Classic head, neck and shoulders flowing into level topline. Striding out well.

1st Gorman & Henry Ir Sh Ch PERDIZCYO ANDRES Jun CH Por Poi D Clean head and broad skull, Disappointed in bite in a gundog. Good strong neck into well laid shoulders. Short upper arm preventing adequate reach in front. Well angled rear angulation with good drive but overstepping front. Perhaps a slower trot would help.

1st McDoudal RIGERIN MERRIE MELODIES AT TORCARHIAN B. 6 month well made throughout bitch with loads of potential. Excellent head with good pigment in nose and eyes. Good bite. Clean neck of good length into well laid shoulders. Good length of upper arm giving good reach in front. Level topline held on the move. Well ribbed & short coupled. Rear angulation balanced with front. Musculation in rear still to come in this baby which will tighten up rear movement.

2nd Webster TASHEEN PEPPERMINT D Masculine head though not course balanced and well chiselled. Set on to good neck flowing into well laid shoulders. Equal length upper arm set well under body. Well up to standard for 8 months. Coat flat . Would have liked to have felt more muscle on hindquarters to help rear movement.

Good forechest good length of upper arm with elbows tight to the body. Good ribcage going well back supporting her level topline. Short coupled. Good rear angulation giving good drive from the rear. BOB

2nd Brady LARENA EPONINE B Taller bitch with many of the same attributes. She is only a year old so plenty of time for her to develop into herself.

1st Middlemiss HAMARJOY WINTER STORY B Appealing head with correct pigmentation. Well chiselled skull. Good neck length into well laid shoulders. Correct return of upper arm with tight elbows. Good ribcage supporting level topline. Balanced rear angulation giving adequate drive. Would like more defined musculation.

2nd Bradley KELLYWILLOW LAKY MARY AT CEILCAESAR B Correct scissor bite. And good round feet. Coat rather curly. Well proportioned head. Lost pigment on nose. Sound on the move.

1st O’Neill GLENLEWIS CONSTELLATION B 6 year old bitch with good well chiselled head with good proportions set on to good length of neck flowing into good shoulders. Good return of upper arm with elbows tight into body. Good reach on the move. Well ribbed up supporting good level topline. Short coupled. Good rear angulation. Again lack of rear musculation affecting rear movement.

2nd Harper GLYNERVA LEADINGLADY B Almost 6 years old unfortunately lacking nose pigment. Head proportions good. Neck a little short so not showing off her good shoulder placement. Good feet and topline. Good angulation front and rear with sound movement.

1st McConnel FELD FEARGHAL AT TORRWEAVING D 2 year old male. Head fitting standard in all respects. Long with flat skull moderately broad. Intelligent expression and good medium sized eye of good colour. Reasonably long neck set well into shoulders. Correct ribcage. Moderate bend of stifle and hocks well set down. Moved well. BOB

2nd Reid ORKHATOS ELEKTRA B 7 year old Good head with good length and slight stop. Moderately broad. Lovely feminine expression. Short in neck and length of scapula. Not the return of upper arm so not the reach on the move. Correct ribcage. Short coupling. Moderate turn of stifle and hocks well let down.

1st Millar YENNADON BENRIACH D 16 month male of good overall substance Stylish in movement. Head deep skull slightly rounded. Lovely intelligent expression. Long lean neck flowing into well laid shoulders. Longer upper arm would have given more reach in movement.. Flat bone. Topline with slight arch. Well ribbed up. Short rear pastern. Good youngster.

2nd Millar BALNAKEIL CARIN NA CRICHE B 15 month sound bitch with plenty of time to develop. Good head proportions Slight arch over loin. Lovely feet.

1st Yates DUNFIONN SANDA FOR GAILIECH JW B My notes start with looks like a Gordon and all round that’s the initial impression. Her head is deep and skull is rounded. Well defined tan colouring. Head sets on her neck correctly which flows into her long lean arched neck. Lovely topline with slight arch. Flat bone. Good return of upper arm and good angle to stifle giving her reach and drive. Difficult decision for BOB but male’s presence just edged it on the day.

Well laid shoulders good flat bone. Good length of upper arm and good return keeping elbows tight to body. Good topline with slight arch. Moderately turned stifle and low set hocks. Powerful dog. 2nd Bell DALREAVOCH DOLLY MIXTURE AT BLAIRBELLES B Good head with oval skull and lovely feminine expression. Good length of neck into shoulders. In other respects very similar remarks regarding construction but let down by lack of musculation which inhibits freedom of movement.

1st Gerrard CARMANDINE COUNT ON ME D Entry on the day and pushed hard for BOB. Lovely male with good head proportions breadth to length. Good eye and expression. Good muscular neck into long laid back shoulders. Good topline with slight arch over loin. Striding out with good drive.

2nd Gerrard & Galloway SHARNPHILLY SANTORELLI WITH CARMANDINE D Nice head and expression. Good neck and strength in body. Bit disappointed in amount of forechest and shortness in length of upper arm thus restricting reach in movement.

Well defined stop and prominent occiput. Lovely feminine expression. Long slightly arched neck into well laid shoulders. Deep brisket. Good return of upper arm giving her good reach in front movement. Well sprung ribs. Short coupled and muscular hindquarters. Add it all together and she presents a picture of total symmetry. 2nd Gibbon KAVACANNECHEEKY VIMTO AT FAUBOURG B Flatter on skull than first one given a non-GSP look. Would have liked to see more depth of flew. Nice neck into reasonable lay of shoulder. Rather restricted on movement.

2nd Stewart & Currie WINTERWELL DOMINIQUE AT LEVAGRAD B Clean cut head slightly rounded skull. Soft but intelligent eyes and expression. Good depth of brisket and well ribbed up. Well muscled.

2nd Ewan CRAIGDEAN HOLBY CITY D Many of the above remarks apply to this handsome dog. He is very sound. Excellent head neck and shoulders into good topline.
