Judge – Mrs Jane Eyeington (Meadowdale)

I would like to thank the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Labrador Club for affording me the honour to judge at their Open Show. Special thanks must go to my very efficient stewards Barbara Gentleman and Pam Blay – thank you ladies. It is a lovely show, well run and lots for everyone to do, with obedience and good citizen going on during the day. A huge thank you to the exhibitors who gave me the pleasure of your lovely dogs, you all take the best one home with you, and the sporting manner you accepted my decisions for each class

Puppy Dog (5,0)

1. Mr & Mrs Metcalfe - Carromer Jack Flash To Baileydale

9 month old yellow dog, who has strength and substance with a happy and outgoing demeanour. He has a pleasing head, showing good width to the backskull and length to the foreface with dark kind expressive eyes. His clean neck flows smoothly into well laid shoulders, straight forelimbs onto tight feet. He has super development to the forechest and ribcage, short coupled leading to nicely angulated hindquarters. Striding out well and with drive, a little loose in front at present, using his otter tail well. Shown with a super coat – BPD & BPIS

Another pleasing yellow at 10 months old he is developing nicely. Of a different stamp to winner, but many qualities to admire. He is workmanlike and built on clean lines. Masculine head, his neck flowing well into a firmly held topline and set on of tail. He has enough depth and spring of rib, not quite the development of winner at the moment. Well made quarters, moving out well
