Siberian Huskies – Judge James G Heaton (VOLKADEN): 

Firstly, I would like to thank the committee for the judging appointment.It was a gloriously beautiful day and it was good to have an outside ring which was of an adequate size. Fortunately we were first in the ring before the punishing heat of the day really set in. I was very happy with the quality of dogs who entered and found no major faults. 

Puppy (3,1) 

1 Johns Azgard Kapma for Alepenkye. 7 mths light g/w puppy bitch with plenty of potential. Lovely head with almond shaped eyes, good stop and correct ears. Good chest and angulated shoulders. Good length of legs. She was lovely and light on the move with good reach and drive. Could do with more slope to croup, but still developing. BPIB. 

 2 Cunninghams Winterblaze’s Goingloopy 8 mths w/g bitch. Another bitch with potential. Good head with beautifully almond shaped obliquely set eyes and good ear set. Would prefer slightly more stop. Slim girl with excellent angles and proportions. Had lots of fun in the ring, unfortunately this made it difficult to judge her on the move. There were glimpses of a breath taking movement but this was very inconsistent. She will do better in the future if she settles in the ring. 

Junior (4,1) 

1 Norman’s Skimarque Shades Of Midnight 14 mths b/w bitch. Beautiful youngster with lovely head, correctly obliquely set eyes and nicely set ears. Excellent proportions, angulation, level topline and well-shaped ribs. Moved beautifully. 

2 Johns Azgard Kapma for Alepenkye.

Post Graduate (3,2) 

1 Norman’s Skimarque Margarita 2 years r/w bitch. This girl got better as the day went on and really stood out in the challenge. Beautiful foxy head, stunning eyes and well set ears. Another girl with excellent proportions and angulations, good chest and length of leg. She moved beautifully, was extremely light on her feet and true out and back. Her coat was in perfect condition and she held her tail perfectly on the move. BOB. 

Open (3,0) 

1 Cunningham’s CH Icebex The First Avenger JW 6 years g/w dog. Masculine well-muscled boy. Nice head, obliquely set almond eyes and good set ears. Excellent chest, good angles and level top line. Moved well in his class but lack enthusiasm in the challenge. 

2 John’s Rajarani Koko for Alepenkye 7 years g/w bitch. Pretty happy girl with lovely almond shaped eyes and correct ear set. Would prefer slightly more stop. Had good reach on the move, but lacked a little drive. 

3 Norman’s Skimarque Anna Pavlova 7 years w bitch. Nice girl good head, correct ears and ear set. Lacked confidence on the day whilst being gone over. Moved well
