1st Gorrian & Henry’s Ir Sh Ch Perdizcyo Andres – Portuguese Pointer – Balanced dog who presented a pleasing outline. Broad flat skull with square muzzle, correct eye shape and ear set, medium length neck into well laid back shoulders, ribs well sprung, short loin, a slight rise in the underline, moderate bend of stifle, well muscled rear end which he used on the move. The handler has a tendency to go too fast on the move.

Pointer

Graduate (3, 1a)

1st Gerrard’s Carmandine Count on Me – 19 month old who presented a pleasing picture. Masculine head and alert expression with excellent pigmentation, good reach of neck into well laid back shoulders, deep chest, straight front with correct bone leading to oval well arched feet, short coupled. Well muscled rear end which he used on the move. Correct daisy cutting action in front, but won this class on his rear movement as drove out from behind.

 2nd Gerrand & Galloway’s Sharnphilly Santorelli With Carmandine JW - Another nice dog with a masculine well chiselled head and expression, correct length of neck into well laid back shoulders, deep chest. Moved soundly.

1st Gerrard’s Hookwood Showpiece at Carmandine – Lots to like about this dog. Masculine well chiselled head and correct expression with excellent pigmentation, long, clean and strong neck which flowed into well laid back shoulders, straight front with correct oval bone leading to well arched feet, deep chested, well ribbed up, short in loin, well muscled rear quarters, correct tailset and when he moved it lashed from side to side. Moved well with reach and drive in all directions BOB & Gundog Group 1 and RBIS

2nd Gerrard’s Carmandine Call My Bluff – 4 year old bitch. Feminine head and expression, long clean neck into well laid back shoulders, good depth of brisket, tight feet, moved soundly.

Graduate (3,1a)

1st) Miller’s Rhum Night Legend – 4 year old balanced dog with masculine head and expression, deep chested, would prefer more length of neck, well laid back shoulders with correct length of upper arm, straight front, deep chested, well sprung ribs, moved well with purpose and drive. BOB

2nd) Miller’s Yennadon Benriach JW – 18 months old dog. Masculine head and expression, deep chested, well sprung ribs, long neck into well laid back shoulders, feet need tightening and needs to tighten on the move.

Open (3,1a)

1st) Miller’s Brookes Shadow Mover – 6 year old balanced dog, masculine head and expression, correct length of neck and clean, would prefer more layback in shoulders, deep chested, well ribbed up, correct topline which he held on the move, would prefer tighter feet, moved well with drive from behind.

2nd) McNeil’s Lachmhor Sincerely Yours at Barrabra (Imp HRV) – Feminine bitch but would prefer more depth and width of muzzle, profuse coat, moved soundly.

Cocker Spaniel

Junior (5, 1a)

1st) Todd & Rahman’s Grandtully Gabriel –8 months well presented black bitch who was my star of the day. Compact balanced bitch, feminine head and expression, with correct skull proportions, dark eye, well set ear correct length of neck into well laid back shoulders with corresponding return of upper arm, straight front leading to cat feet, deep chested, level topline which was held on the move. Correct rear angles. When this bitch settled she moved so true from all directions. BOB & BPIS

2nd) Platt & Clelland’s Charbonnel Time N’Tide – 8 month old Blue roan dog who again presented a pleasing outline, masculine head and expression, will be interesting to see this dog again when his head has fully developed, straight front leading to cat feet, deep chested, well ribbed up, good bend of stifle. Moved with purposed and drive.

3rd Neatham’s Shoogsea Bibidi Bobidi Boo

Post Graduate (2,0a)

1st) Todd & Rahman’s Chataway Hi Jacked – 14 months old blue roan dog with a masculine head and expression, straight front leading to excellent feet, deep chested, clean neck into well laid back shoulders with correct length of upper arm, short in loin, well bent stifle, not in her best coat today, correct tailset which she held on the move. Moved soundly.

2nd) Platt & Clelland’s Charbonnel Time N’Tide – As puppy

1st Todd & Rahman’s Medan Again Love Me Do –Black balanced bitch with a feminine head and expression, muscular clean neck into well laid back shoulders, with good length of upper arm, deep chested, short coupled, excellent rear end, once again another that moved so well from all directions, tail was merry in action both standing and moving, just preferred the compactness of the puppy.

2nd Cleland’s Belltrees Kandyman – Golden 14 months dog in excellent coat and featherings, would prefer better muzzle proportions, well ribbed up, short coupled, moved soundly.

1st) Galloway & Anderson’s Torranpart Gilda From Alayglow – 11 months old bitch, feminine head and expression, moderate length of neck which flowed into well laid back shoulders, well sprung ribs, short backed, well bent stifles, moved with purpose and drive - BOB

2nd) McDonald’s Richtig Rapollo – 11 months old dog with masculine head and expression, excellent pigmentation, medium sized eyes, correct length of neck into well laid back shoulders, deep chested, short in loin, correct bend of stifle. Moved so well once settled in all directions. Gave handler a hard time but a nice dog.

3rd) Jackman’s Katelands Cosmic Affair Via Navigareamor

1st) McDonald’s Richtig Rapollo – As Graduate

2nd Jackman’s Navigareamor Hardtoport - 3 year old masculine dog, would prefer better muzzle proportions, deep chested, correct tailset, well bent stifles, well muscled rear end. Moved soundly.

1st Kirkwood Sh Ch Arielle Vom Glinzegrund Mit Helydon (Imp DEU) – Balanced bitch, feminine head and expression, correct length of neck into well laid back shoulders, good spring of ribs, well muscled rear end which she used on the move. Correct wire coat and undercoat. Moved with drive and purpose. BOB

1st) Maclaine & Dickson’s Greyspirit Hopes N Dreams – Won this class on her overall balance and movement. Feminine head and expression, correct layback and length of upper arm, deep chested, ribs well sprung, moderate bend of stifle, correct tail set, moved well in all directions. BOB

2nd) Maclaine & Dickson’s Greyspirit Purdoe JW ShCM CJW17 – Similar remarks apply as to the 1st but just preferred 1st’s outline. On the move she was not as settled but still move well in all directions. I found out afterwards that she was not with her owner. Still a lovely bitch.

3rd) McMahon’s Silverkelvin Jupiter

1st) Brown’s Saxonbejayz Elliot - Sussex Spaniel – 20 months old dog who presented a pleasing outline. Masculine head and expression, correct length of neck into well laid back shoulders, deep chested, well off for bone, in excellent coat. Once this dog settled moved true in all directions

2nd) Scott’s Sh CH Rhapsody In Blue JW ShCM – Hungarian Vizsla – A bitch that I have judged before and I still like a lot. Presented a pleasing outline, feminine head and expression, correct front and rear angles, moved well in all directions but today she not have the drive which could have been down to the size of the rings.

3rd) Thorpe’s Candidacasa’s Porsche at Montreathmnt – Flat Coated Retriever

1st) Spence’s Seirian Skydancer with Spencerian 3 year old cream bitch in good coat of lovely shape and size, feminine head and expression, compact body, well developed loin, correct cat like feet, in good coat, moved well. BOB

2nd) Spence’s Spencerian Star Z In Her Eyes – 18 months old larger framed bitch in good coat, feminine head and expression, good body proportions, preferred the movement on the 1st in front.

3rd) Spence’s Seirian Stargazer with Spencerian

1st) Gerrard’s Hookwood Showpiece at Carmandine – Pointer – As Before

2nd) Porter’s Poniel Reason to Believe at Bruadarach – Labrador Retriever – Balanced dog who stood four square and presented a pleasing picture. Masculine head and expression, good front and rear angles, correct barrel ribs, well boned, moved well in all directions.

3rd) Maclaine & Dickson’s Greyspirit Hopes N Dreams – Weimaraner – As Before

4th) Todd & Rahman’s Grandtully Gabriel – Cocker Spaniel – As Before

Special Puppy (20,10a)

1st) Todd & Rahman’s Grandtully Gabriel – Cocker Spaniel – As Before

2nd) Smith’s Megarvey Santorini – Golden Retriever – Compact 7 months old bitch, feminine head and expression, correct length of neck into well laid back shoulders, deep chested, short in loin, correct bend of stifle, in good coat. Moved soundly but needs to tighten up.

3rd) Gorrian & Henry’s Penwest Peroni – Pointer – Loved this puppy so well put together. Gave his handler a hard time on the move, but I learnt afterwards it was not his owner handling him. One to watch in the future.

Special Veteran (20,10a)

1st) Maclaine & Dickson’s Ir Sh Ch Greyspirit Royal Scot at Trilite ShCM – Weimaraner - A well balanced 10 year old dog who just stood out in this class. Masculine head and expression. Correct straight front with tight fitting elbows leading to good feet, long clean neck into well laid back shoulders, deep chested, well ribbed up. Moved so well with reach and drive to win this class and BVIS.

2nd) Warden’s Eyevalley Macallan of Glentochty ShCM – Golden Retriever – Balanced 7 year old dog, pleasing head and expression with good dark eye, straight front leading to cat feet, deep chested, short coupled, level topline which he held on the move, moved soundly with purpose.

3rd) Kirkwood Sh Ch Arielle Vom Glinzegrund Mit Helydon (Imp DEU) – GWP

BIS – Nixon’s Pakov’s Midnight Gift - Pomeranian – This girl took my eye when she came into the ring. Black 2 year old bitch in excellent coat, with beautiful head and expression, correct eye shape and ear set, well laid shoulders, compact body, straight front leading to neat feet. Moved briskly and well in all directions.

RBIS - Gerrard’s Hookwood Showpiece at Carmandine – See Pointer

BPIS - Todd & Rahman’s Grandtully Gabriel – Cocker Spaniel – As Before

RBPIS – Shaw’s Bramblecroft Reeba at Bluequarry – Shetland Sheepdog – Symmetrical 8 months old bitch who was very attentive to her handler, feminine head and expression, correct ear carriage, good body proportions, in profuse coat, graceful movement but with drive from behind.

BVIS - Maclaine & Dickson’s Ir Sh Ch Greyspirit Royal Scot at Trilite ShCM – Weimaraner – As Before

RBVIS – Wylie’s Ch Tangaer Rhapsody at Callydena ShCM – PBGV – 10 year bitch who was clearly enjoying her day out as her tail never stopped wagging. Feminine head and expression, correct body proportions, deep chested, tight feet, correct coat, sound stylish mover.
