Puppy (5 entries, 1 absent)

1. Anthony’s Ospreagle Bone Idol – 9 month tri dog who has a lovely head and expression. Good front and ribbing. Excellent rear angulation. Excellent on the move showing good drive from behind. BPIB & Hound Puppy Group 1

2. Davies’ Barrvale Ganymede – 6 month tri dog, good front assembly with balanced rear. Moved well when settled.

Special Yearling (3 entries, 1 absent)

1. Warren & Thomas’ Emorlen Gypsy Tango at Hilbeaglin – 18 month tri bitch of lovely type. Lovely head and expression, good length of neck leading into well angulated shoulders. Good ribbing and strong loin. Moved out well with correct front and rear extension. BOB & Hound Group 2 in good competition.

2. Mitchell & Wright’s Huntshill Tornado JW – 18 month tri dog with an excellent head. Not quite the length of neck of 1. Well angulated fore and good ribbing. Could use more angulation behind which showed in his slightly narrow rear movement.

Post Graduate (5 entries, 1 absent)

1. Warren & Thomas’ Ospreagle Ottoff The Press – Tri dog of an excellent type, lovely head and expression, good length of neck. Well angulated fore and aft which showed in his good movement. Close up in challenge

2. Howell’s Emorlen Cha Cha Cha – Lighter framed tri bich with a good head and excellent front assembly. Moved well.

1. Tanner’s Felinoak Bailey’s N Ice JW – Excellent front angulation on this 2 yr old tri. His wide blaze slightly detracts from an otherwise good head. Excellent in body with really well angulated rear. Super on the move. Looked better free stood rather than stacked.

2. Warren & Thomas’ Emorlen Domino at Hilbeaglin – 5yr old lovely bitch with a lovely head and neck. Excellent front assembly, good body and rear. Not as tidy coming and going as 1 but sufficient drive and extension in profile.

Saluki

Junior (2 entries)

1. Rabey-Wilkinson’s Waqiiq V ‘T Swartshof For Greatplains (IMP NDL) – 13 month dog who could do with growing on slightly. Good head, excellent neck and shoulder. Correct ribbing. Good top and underline. Moving better in front that 2.

2. Dann, Ireson, Ferris & Cosentini’s Jazalle Ava – red bitch with an excellent head and neck. Well angulated shoulders but could have a longer upper arm. Good rear. Good drive from rear but slightly high stepping on front.

1. Ham’s Bendegedig Bazinga – Super male with good size and substance. Houndy head, good neck and shoulders. Excellent ribbing and good hind angulation. Sound and free on the move covering the ground well. BOB

2. Yardley’s Bryn’M Wild Rose at Manarah – Nice bitch with an excellent head and neck. Good shoulder angulation and ribbing. Not the scope of 1 on the move but sound and true.

Rhodesian Ridgebacks

1. Little’s Sofala joe the Lion – 2yr old male with an excellent head and neck, good shoulder. Slightly too long in body. Excellent rear which he used well on the move. In excellent condition. BOB

1. Pask’s Napoleone Della Bassa Pavese – Big, upstanding 2yr old male of a lovely type. Excellent head and neck, good shoulder placement. Excellent ribbing. Moved slightly narrow behind but excellent reach and drive in profile. BOB

Shame there wasn’t a puppy class as there were 2 lovely babies in this class who understandably were very immature against an adult male.

1. Lewis’ Luckhurst Paisley – Good head and neck, well angulated front and rear with correct topline. Moved well.

2. Maier’s Hyndsight Free Fallin – Loved this 7month old puppy bitch who is a super prospect for the future. Excellent head and neck, good front angulation, well bodied up for a puppy. Lovely rear which she really used well on the move. Moved exactly as she should for a puppy and I’m sure when mature will trouble the best. BPIB & Hound Puppy Group 3

1. Owen & Brodie’s Wolfcastle Meredith – Lovely male with an excellent head, neck and front assembly.Supper ribbing with correct top and underline. Lovely on the move using his well angulated rear to drive round the ring. BOB.

1. Lyden’s Thrillseeker Kosmos – Tri dog who has a lovely long, lean head with correct detailing. Strong neck, good shoulder. Correct topline. Adequate rear angulation. Moved well. BOB

2. Yardley’s Thrillseeker Lastochka – Bitch with a good head, good length of neck, not as well angulated in shoulder as 1. Moved ok.

Norwegian Elkhounds

1. Mortimer’s Laakso Allgold’s Special One – 5yr old bitch of quality. Lovely type. Excellent shaped head with correctly set ears. Strong neck leading into a good front. Correct ribbing and well angulated rear. Moved out soundly with correct reach and drive. BOB and delighted to award her Hound group 1 in excellent company.

2. Mortimer’s Laakso Belina – Loved this 6 month old baby who has an exquisite head and expression. Excellent front and ribbing. Good rear. Very steady on the move for such a baby and pressed very hard for this class against her lovely kennel mate. BPIB and Hound Puppy group 2.

AVNSC Hound

1. Lewis’ Tangaer Charles Bronsen (PBGV) – Excellent head on this attractive male. Good neck and front construction. Good body and rear. Moving slightly narrow behind but excellent in profile showing good reach and drive.

2. Lewis’ Tangaer Chamlee (PBGV) – Bitch with a lovely head and expression. Balanced front and rear angulation. Preferred 1 in profile movement.

2 lovely puppies

1. Price’s Wheelspin Silver Shadow Among Silkdance (Whippet) – Mature fawn dog of an excellent tyoe. Good head and front construction. Excellent rear. Moved really well covering plenty of ground.

2. Worswick’s Dolyharp Fur Elise (MLH Dachshund) – Cream bitch of just 8 months and giving a lot away to the mature Whippet. Excellent head with correct conical shape and dark eye giving her a lovely expression. Excellent front construction with tight elbows. Good rear. In excellent coat for age. Just needs to tighten up as she matures. Will watch her progress with interest.

1. Lewis’ Tangaer Bryntelych (PBGV) – Excellent headed dog with a good front, excellent body and rear angulation. Lots to like. Moved out well with good rear drive.

2. Lewis’ Tangaer Yvette (PBGV) – Taller type of bitch, good head and length of neck. Slightly tense in topline at times but moved out well.

Veteran (7 entries, 3 absent)

1. Howell’s Emorlen Xcalibur (Beagle) – Lovely 7yr old beagle male. Excellent head with lovely expression. Good front and ribbing. Well angulated rear. Super on the move. Well handled to get the best out of him.

2. James’ Drakesoak Twist Magic ShCM (Whippet) – Smart 9yr old dog with an excellent head and good front. Correct topline and tuck up. Well angulated rear which he used well on the move to cover plenty of ground.
