Firstly I must thank the officers and committee for the invitation to judge at their lovely show, fantastic hospitality and friendly atmosphere, the weather was brilliant. Secondly thank you to the exhibitors who entrusted my judgement with their lovely dogs.

Irish Setters. P (4) – 1. Danks-Kemish Teleri Summertime Blues Avec Alolfrana. Substantive mature looking boy of good overall  outline, with typical head, kind dark eye, correct ear set, flowing from head down strong neck, over good shoulder to gentle sloping topline finished off with correct tail set. Good front carriage assembly, sound spring of rib on deep strong chest, rear angulation of very good proportions, very muscled 1st and 2nd thigh giving strong sound movement. BP. 2. Taylor’s Alchriset A Taste Of Honey. Young Bitch of good form, feminine head with real soft expression, nice eye and correct ear set. Nice neck into well laid shoulder, down into good topline and correct tail set. Good amount of rib, nice construction at front and plenty of angulation at the rear. Coat in good condition and of a nice colour, moved confidently and with drive. J (4,1) – 1. Mugford’s Lynwood Abracadabra, Lovely girl of good form, pretty head with nice eye plenty of expression, correct ear set, nice shape and strength to neck, good lay into shoulder, smooth gentle slope to topline, correct set on tail, front angulation finishing off a nice front assembly, sound spring of rib carried on nice deep chest, toned muscle to 1st and 2nd thigh, neat finish to tight feet, moved and handled well. 2. Stafford and Clayton’s Gwendariff Red Light Show Farnfield, Another outstanding dog which made it very difficult to split from 1st, Substantive in build, giving an overall outline correct to the breed, strong boyish head with a gentle expression and kind eye, nice across the shoulder through topline to correct tail set, well angulated at front, nice deep chest with plenty of sprung rib, rear construction was good, nicely muscled thighs, was a little loose on the move compared to 1st but still had the reach and determination. PG (7,1) 1. Danks-Kemish Alofrana Hotter than U’Know JW. Excellent mature boy with a lot to like, Typical head all in good proportion, almond shaped dark eye, correct ear set. Strong neck leading to good lay of shoulder, following through to a good topline ending in correct tail set. Sound front through to plenty of rib, nice and deep, good rear angulation, very impressive muscle tone to 1st and 2nd thigh, good clean tight feet, all combining to give an effortless glide on the move, handled and presented well BOB. 2. Jones Gwendariff Pink Floyd, A happy boy of good type, pleasing silhouette, nice dark eye, correct ear set, nicely constructed at front, good amount of rib for expanding lungs, clean tight feet, rear in proportion to front which made movement easy and flowing.

L (3,1) 1. Childs Tredura Val Verdi. Well defined head with good eye and correct set on ears, nice arch to strong neck through to good shoulder flowing down nice topline to correct tail set, tidy well constructed front, plenty of sprung rib in deep chest, toned muscle to rear thighs, good angulation at rear, moved well with a positive gate with a nice straight drive. 2. Lewis Scotselaw Chicago Fire. Overall very good, good head proportions, nice eye, expression and correct ear set, gently sloping topline through to correct tail set, nicely angled front and rear, moved positively with drive but just a little off straight. OD (3) 1.  Andrews Millcroft Moon Riot. Nice boy with good overall proportions. Nice topline from a strong neck through a neat shoulder gently sloping to correct tail set, good well angulated front, sound chest and rib construction, nicely muscled thighs to rear, giving strength on the move with the look of power and determination, coat and colour condition was good, well presented. 2. Childs Tredura Clandestine Affair. Lovely mature boy with a typical outline, neat plains to head, good dark eye with a quizzical expression, true topline gently sloping to correct tail set, good angulation at rear, moved well with drive, neat and straight on the move away. OB (7,2) 1. Danks-Kemish Rappatty Star Light Over Alolfrana JW. A lovely girl very much to type, with a pleasing outline, judged this girl as a puppy and she has come on a treat, everything still as it was and should be, good clean lines with very good angulation to both front and rear, good depth to chest, well toned muscle to 1st and 2nd thighs, neat tight feet, held topline on the move, went with lovely extension, coat in very good condition, handled very well. 2. Davies Taradell Wispa’s Desire. Another lovely girl of neat proportions, typical head plains good eye well set ears, good neck line into well laid shoulder, correct tail set, well constructed both front and rear, lovely deep chest, coat in good condition and of a lovely colour, moved well with drive.
