BIS went to the Boxer bitch, Bell’s Surfstone Calypso, br/w of lovely quality who took my eye the moment she entered the ring, super carriage and profile movement showing nobility, covers good ground with good reach in front and real drive behind, holds her excellent outline beautifully at all times, very good head, well made all through with good front and hind angulation, short back and shown in super condition, one to carry a title for sure I would think;

RBIS was the Ibizan Hound, Ir Ch Afildaor Pandemonium, to whom it had been a pleasure to award the Hound Group, I was told that she presently has 2 CCs, such a lovely hound with the correct slight hover apparent on the move, good luck for her UK title;

BPIS was the black Labrador dog, Cook’s Exelby Salsola, 8 months of lovely type and quality, has the essentials of a very good head with correct eye colour and length of muzzle, super double coat of correct texture and a well-shaped, otter-like tail, a great showman who keeps his excellent outline in profile where he covers the ground and a true mover fore and aft, particularly good behind, one whose future I will follow with interest.

AV Toy Puppy (3):

1. Bailey’s Sagrael Who’s That Girl, 8 months Pug bitch, feminine bitch who settled better as the class went on, dark eyes, fairly cobby, scored on the move where she moved true fore and aft and very well in profile;

2. Todd-McCoid’s Rubyranian Christmas Gift, Pomeranian, compact and well-knit in her frame, well handled, not as good on the move and found the terrain a little difficult;

3. Hunt’s Moltobello Denis The Menace

AVNSC Toy Junior (2):

1. Lister’s Florita Favianna, feminine lovely quality Italian Greyhound, blue with white trim, certainly elegant and graceful in appearance, long neck, deep narrow chest, high stepping action which was particularly good in profile, should have a future;

2. Stading’s Stadmeyer Saltaire Boy, Yorkshire Terrier, just out of yearling this male was in lovely condition and presented a good overall picture of type, good moving but could have a better topline and bite.

AVNSC Toy Post Graduate (2):

1. Todd-McCoid’s Cashonleigh’s Moondancer with Rubyanlo, Pomeranian shown well by his young handler, 3 years old and in good condition, pleasing feet and compact.

AVNSC Toy Open (1):

1. Lister’s Revillo Allegro, Italian Greyhound bitch just out of puppy, fawn and white pied of lovely quality with a super overall outline, liked her head with long skull and fine muzzle, slightly arched over the loin, pleasing bone and feet, very sound on the move and looked super in profile where she was highstepping and free in front but had good power behind too, a pleasure to award her BAVNSC Toy and Toy Group 1;

Toy Group

G1 was the Italian Greyhound, Revillo Allegro where her carriage, outline and soundness on the move and in profile scored;

G2 was the tricolour King Charles Spaniel, Sidgewick’s Paulian Where’s Wally, fully of type and a touch of quality, sound on the move and super extrovert temperament and showmanship, even in the heat, liked his head, body and overall balance;

G3 was the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Chistabella Picasso, masculine good type male of 3.5 years, pleasing head, well bodied, good overall picture and sound enough;

G4 was the Papillon, Canoverde Captain Casper, junior dog of good quality and type, well balanced and alert, pleasing head with round dark eyes, well fringed ears, well turned stifle, moved well with lightness of foot, pushed hard;

Toy Puppy Group

PG1 was the Papillon, Urwin’s Stagedoor Exposed by Paparottsie, 7 months quality male of lovely size, type and character, dainty with pleasing head and ear carriage, great showman already, super mover in profile and especially behind, pushed hard for BPIS too;

PG2 was the CKCS MacAlpine’s Trirayne Kez with Annatika, good headed puppy, forward for age, pleasing type, well bodied, showed well;

PG3 was the Smoothcoat Chihuahua, Diamonchi Mister Moon, very nice puppy, impressed with his soundness and a great showman;

PG4 Todd-McCoid’s Torre Del Pilar Rascaacielos, pleasing type, rather immature;

Basenji Open (1):

1. Jardine’s Woodella Hot Rod, free moving dog in excellent condition, masculine, not a small boy, BOB;

Miniature Smooth Dachshund Open (3):

1. Morris and Waddell’s Bronia Angioletta, pleasing headed puppy, good length, pleasing mover, especially behind, scored in front construction, BOB;

2. Fieke’s Lustrum Daydream Believer, extrovert shown in good condition and muscle, preferred forequarters of 1;

Rhodesian Ridgeback Open (3)

1. Forrester’s Hespa Heart of Gold, very nice quality bitch, pleasing size and type, well made all through, very sound mover, BOB and G2;

Ibizan Hound Open (2):

1. Hall’s Ir Ch Afildaor Pandemonium, I thought this was a really lovely example of the breed, lovely fine, long head with flat skull, amber shaped eyes, muscular slightly arched neck, correct hindquarters and feet, pleases on the move in all directions, so sound, a pleasure to judge and award G1 and RBIS;

2. Marston-Pollock and Whalley’s Ch Falconcrag Marchesa

AV Hound Puppy (4)

1. Clark’s Magida Sabih Al Sahra At Thiefside, 9 months Sloughi, well reared and well grown, good bone and outline, sound on the move and covered the ground;

2. Fieke’s Lustrum Everlasting Love

3. Morris and Waddell’s Bronia Sancia

AV Hound NSC Post Graduate (3):

1. Nichols’ Litlar’s Niju Zhizn V Udovolstvie, Pharaoh Hound, very feminine, pleasing type and quality, well made all through, moved soundly in all directions, very well handled, Best AVNSC and G3;

2. Sutton’s Cavellierik Isindy via Tranncas, Borzoi

3. Wilkes’ Lindall Paris for Stickenoak, Irish Wolfhound

AV Hound Veteran

1. Steward’s Avismar Serendipity at Wakebarrow, pleasing type bitch of nearly 9 years, pleasing shape, carrying a little weight but obviously very well loved;
