My Thanks to the society for inviting me to judge at this friendly show, and to all who entered under me. There was a consistent quality in many, which certainly made for some tough decisions.

Welsh Corgi (Cardigan)

Junior (4, 1 Abs)

1st – James' CAPRIAN DEXTER AT BWTHYN – 8 mth Dog, has a good head, with nice flat skull, lovely ear set and good eyes. Has well laid shoulder and a pleasing front. Good spring of rib and a good topline, which held well on the move. Well muscled rear quarters, providing good drive, and nice, correct feet. BPIB

2nd – Langford's CAPRIAN THE VIXEN – 8 mth Bitch, littermate to 1 and built along similar lines. Similar comments apply with regards to head and ear, and has a pleasing, feminine expression. Moved well, but not quite as free flowing as 1.

3rd – Langford's CAPRIAN CHALLENGER

Limit (10, 4 Abs)

1st – Piears' – TYCI DAIONI – 4 yr old Tri Dog. Very good eye, nice ears, set well on a nice, strong head of correct proportions. Good lay of shoulder, well muscled fore and aft with a nice, deep chest and good length of body. Level topline with good tailset. A well made dog throughout, with good weatherproof coat, who had lovely, free-flowing movement. BOB and pleased to see him take Pastoral GRP 1.

2nd – James' BWTHYN ALL RIGHTS RESERVED – 4 yr old Brindle Dog. Head not quite as strong as 1, but had good earset, with good flat skull. Nice topline, good spring of rib and well boned legs. Movement was good, with sufficient drive, but just not quite as free as 1 on this day. RBOB

3rd – Langford's TWINAN ALL REVVED UP OF CAPRIAN

Open (6, 3 Abs)

1st – James' KERMAN COPYRIGHT OF STURTMOOR – 7 yr old Brindle Bitch. Nice, clear eye, with good rims, ears set well with a pretty, feminine face. Good lay of shoulder with well sprung ribs and a firm, level topline. Nice muscle tone to the rear, and good round feet. Pushed hard for RBOB, but lost out on movement today.

2nd – Piears' TYCI BRENHINES BRIALLEN ShCM – 6 yr old Blue Bitch. Well set ears and a good mouth, with pleasing, expressive eye gave a pretty overall impression. Well sprung ribs, and nice overall body type, with tail set well, and carried correctly on the move.

3rd – Evans's – BRYNLLUAN BETSAN –

Junior (2, 2 Abs)

Limit (1, 0 Abs)

1st – Jones' CERANDA SURF'S UP – 4 yr old Tri Dog. Overall, a very well made boy. Lovely ear set, and nice round eye, set within a lovely typically foxy head. Well laid shoulders and nice bone on forequarters, well muscled hindquarters and a very good topline, which held well on the move. Movement was free and effortless. BOB

Open (6, 4 Abs)

1st – Garnett's – JAHNSHAUS JENNY WREN AT BEAUMILANDS – 6 yr old Tri Bitch. Ears good, and well set, good length of muzzle and a neat, moderate stop gave a pleasing expression. Good lay of shoulder to fore, and nicely angulated stifle to rear gave good movement, with level back held well. RBOB

2nd – Morgan's – JAHNSHAUS ALL THAT JAZZ AT DAVALIS ShCM – Red and White Dog, littermate to 1 and built along similar lines. Head similar in type, but of a suitably more masculine manner. Good bone throughout, and a nice, level topline. Carrying a little more weight than I would like, and movement a shade below his sister's.
