NORTH RIDING GUNDOG CLUB - OPEN SHOW 

26th August 2018 

GSP 

Puppy (3)  

1st Cooke & Barker’s Radstorm Legal Eagle, b.  Good body and type on this bitch, she is classic in outline.  Correct head and balanced fore and aft she moved with purpose and drive but was just a touch proud of her tail.  BP 

2nd   Garvey’s Richtig Roma, b.  Rangier in body and stronger in head than first, she possesses lovely soft expression. Good fore and aft angles. Moved steadily. 

3rd  Milton & Lewis’s Molkara Air Gunner, d.  Handsome boy that was really giving the handler a hard time. He moved fluidly using his tail to advantage. When this young man settles and knows what is expected he should do well. 

 

Junior (2)   

1st Sielski’s Orchidstar Bonds Of Speed JW, d.  Well grown young boy that has plenty of substance throughout.  Masculine head & kind expression. good neck & shoulders. Excels in profile movement  

2nd Cooke & Barker’s Radstorm Legal Eagle, b. – Repeat 

 

Limit (12, 1) 

1st Baines’s Sparowbridge Crazy Diamond, b. Appealing eye and expression, well arched and strong neck line, excellent fullness of rib, has balance of forehand and rear assemblies, Moved stylishly and positively.  

2nd Milligan’s Isara Kurzhaar All Spice, b.  Attractive and well- proportioned girl. Deep in chest, good bone and excellent feet. Moved positively with good drive. 

3rd Wright’s Goosepoint Spitfire Over Steelrigg (A.I) d. Nice young chap but he was very unsettled on the move. I loved his head and expression, he has a good front and strong quarters. 

 

Open  (5) 

1st Drew’s Sh.Ch. Cutshatlaw Illustrious JW SHCM, b.  This girl fills the eye when she came into the ring. On the stack she is impressive and her movement is stylish and effortless with good reach and drive. Well-constructed head with an alert but soft expression, good fore and aft angulation and a firm topline. Well off for bone and the best of feet. Excellent coat.  Handled well and presented in tiptop condition BOB 

2nd Thurm’s Sh.Ch. Bryburn Bacchus JW, d. Handsome boy, Lovely outline with good bone and substance throughout, he really gave his handle a hard time and he was erratic on the move but his footfall was positive.  RBOB 

3rd McArdle’s Archerpoint I Want It All, d. The condition of this young dog is a credit to his owners. He has a pleasing head, great bone and the best of feet. Moved energetically on a lengthy stride. 

 

German Longhaired Pointer 

Open (2) 

1st Thompson’s Ir Sh Ch Sarscottah Arris Ir Jnr Ch CJW16,17, d.  Very confident young man with a mischievous look that made me smile. Good balance throughout, pronounced pro-sternum, strong legs and strong quarters, fluid on the move showing good reach and drive.  BOB 

 

2nd Thompson’s Lux Jnr Ch Sarcottah Charizma Ir Jun Ch, b.  Such a character! Typical & fabulous head with a soft expression, strong neck leading into well placed shoulders, deep chest with a good spring of ribs, strong loin & excellent rear angulation.  Moved exuberantly.   RBOB 

 

Brittany Spaniel 

Puppy (2,1) 

1st Robinson’s Tarward Our Joe, d.  Promising 6 month puppy who is well made all through. Attractive head and expression, good length of neck set on a well- made body. Pleasing front and good bone. On the move he needs more confidence but his footfall is good.  Good length to upper arm, good tight feet. He covers the ground well on the move 

 

Open (2) 

1st Robinson’s Rochus Hazel To Tarward, b.  Pleasing 7yr old, possessing a sweet head with a soft expression. Good shoulders and good spring of rib, strong quarters which were well used on the move. In lovely condition. BOB 

 

2nd Clayton’s Lampaul Louis, d.  Up to size but balanced throughout. Good length to upper arm, good tight feet. He covers the ground well on the move. RBOB 

 

German Wirehaired Pointe

Puppy (1) 

1st Lovatt’s Beechillawn Amarillo Starlight of Shirostar, b.   Well up to size and plenty of bone, depth and substance on this 10 month girl. Soft expression, balanced head with level planes.Super movement with great reach and drive. Good wire coat.  BP 

  

Limit (4) 

1st O’Connar’s Karlejay Gump Kin Ya Work It SHCM, d. Pleasing head with the softest of expressions. He pleases in front and rear angulation, depth of chest, bone and tight feet. In good muscular condition which gave him effortless movement. Good texture to coat.  RBOB  

2nd Kirkwood’s Helydon Inka, b. Feminine head, good shape and expression to eye. Long muscular neck to well place shoulders, strong quarters. and she holds a firm topline on the stack and on the move. Moved out well. 

3rd McCabe’s Chironstone Chaos, d.   This boy has the most appealing eye. Pleasing for overall balance, moves enthusiastically with good front reach and drive. Good wire jacket.

 

Open (2,1) 

1st Kirkwood’s Sh Ch Arielle Vom Glinzegrund Mit Helydon (imp Deu), b.  I like this 7yr old girl much. Very well presented in gleaming coat and in excellent muscle condition. Typical head shape with the kindest of eye, strong neck leading in to sloping shoulders great forechest, good depth and correct spring to ribs. Excellent wire coat with a good undercoat Strong quarters, which were used to advantage on the move giving a free flowing stride.  BOB
