This is a lovely show, well attended and a really nice atmosphere. I was delighted with my entry and even more delighted with the very low absentee rate, which says a lot about the exhibitors opinion of the day. If I have a gripe, it’s about the ring, which I would have liked to have seen as a little larger and more appropriate to the size and needs of the dogs I was judging. Unfortunately it was difficult to properly assess movement, for which I had to make allowances in some classes.

Bullmastiff Open (1 entry, 0 absent)

1st. Owen’s Zobullea’s Kooler Than Me At Keeperswatch. Handsome 2 year old dog. Large skull, correct set to eyes and ears. Well arched neck, good depth to chest and muscular shoulders. Well boned, Straight forelegs, correct straight topline. Hindlegs strong and muscular. Well arched feet. Correct set to tail. Moved with great power. BoB. WG4.

Canadian Eskimo Dog Puppy (2 entries, 0 absent)

1st. Bailey’s Akna Tumnus**. 8 month old dog. Pleasing expression, correct obliquely set eyes, ears thick and well-furred. Good length of neck on well laid shoulders. Level back, held well on the move. Good turn of stifle. Correct set to tail. Good harsh coat. Powerful mover, in fact he moved the best on the day. BPiB. 2nd. Croft and Bickerdike’s Akna Nymph** At Koroyza. Pretty 8 month old bitch with very feminine head, correctly set eyes and thick well covered ears. Good depth of chest. Topline OK with correct tail set. Good turn of stifle. Moved well.

1st. Croft and Bickerdike’s Akna Ross** At Koroyza. 18 month old feminine bitch with well proportioned head, eyes obliquely set, small thick ears. Short neck, good front, plenty of bone. Well held topline on the move, which she did with power. 2nd. Bailey’s Kodiak De Prafond Avec Akna. Another feminine bitch. Correct eye set, thick triangular ears. Good lay to shoulders and sound topline. Moved well when settled. 3rd. Bailey’s Akna Kohler.

Canadian Eskimo Dog Open (3 entries, 0 absent)

1st. Bailey& Atkins’ Hr Ch Akna Asavakkit**. Very feminine bitch with broad wedge-shaped head, correct shape and set to eyes also correct carriage and shape of ears which were well furred. Good length to neck, well laid back and muscled shoulders. Good depth to chest, level back. Good turn of stifle and plenty of bone. Powerful mover when the floor allowed! BoB. 2nd. Bailey’s Akna Silver Throne. Handsome dog with large well proportioned head, obliquely set eyes, correct carriage to ears. Deep chest, good muscle tone and good turn to stifle. Moved with drive when settled. 3rd. Akins’ Akna Peechee*.

Rottweiler Puppy (2 entries, 1 absent)

1st. Trueman and Brownridge’s Jaegerot Billie Jean. Feminine 11 month old bitch with lovely head and expression, almond-shaped eye, correct ear set. Good length of neck, good front, plenty of bone. Excellent topline, strong hindquarters. Good powerful mover. BP. WPG4.

1st. Austen’s Ausrie’s Pure And Simple.13 month old bitch with pleasing head and expression, correct shape to eye and small, well set ears. Good lay to shoulder, broad hindquarters. Topline held well on the move, which she did with purpose. BoB. 2nd. Evans’ Paloduro Gold Dollar At Maddiecass. Good looking 15 month old dog with almond-shaped eyes and correct set to ears. Good front and strong topline. Moved well. 3rd. Pieczka’s Stanley Skordatura.

1st. Franklin’s Nageem Haribo At Haccasbrook ShCM. 3 year old dog. Good head and expression, correct eye set and shape, small well set ear. Good front. Topline OK. Moved OK.

St. Bernard Puppy (3 entries, 0 absent)

1st. Forrest and Thomas’ Tombears Who Dares Wins Over Philandros. 11 month old dog with masculine head which was large with correctly proportioned eyes of medium size and correct set to ears. Long neck, well arched. Broad shoulders, excellent bone. Broad back and broad strong hindquarters. Smooth powerful mover. BP and I was delighted to see him get WPG1. 2nd. Thomas’ Tombears Once Upon A Time. 11 month old feminine bitch with a great head and expression, good set to eye, ears of medium size. Good length to neck, Strong bone, back broad and level. Correct turn to stifle, good set to tail. Moved with power. 3rd. O’Reilly’s Sanflaxsaint Sugar NSpice.

1st. Lyons and Grubb’s Jeanne D’Arc At Snowfordhill. 15 month old bitch. Large head, correct eye shape, medium size ears. Thick neck, heavy in bone, broad back. Topline held well on the move which she did powerfully. 2nd. O’Reilly’s Streillys You’re the One. 14 month old bitch with a good head. Large bone, braod back, good turn to stifle. Moved well.

1st. Bell and Jeffries’ TizineWielkopolski Bernardyn For Bellfries (Imp Pol). 19 month old dog with very masculine head, large skull and short muzzle. Medium size correctly set eyes, good ear set and size. Good length to neck, shoulders broad, lovely broad back. Deep chest, strong well-muscled hindquarters. Easy unhurried mover with great power. Held topline well. BoB. WG2. 2nd. Thomas’ Tombears Save The Last Dance. 2year old feminine bitch with large head of good proportions, correct medium set eyes and ears. Good length to neck, broad shoulders, excellent large bone. Back broad and level, held well on the move. Good turn of stifle. Moved with power. 3rd. Forrest’s Mountsaviour Drueburg.
