Junior (8,4)

1st Lizzilog Brewing Bettie

Super type of bitch who caught my eye from the start. She was just 12 months old and moving with a super gate which made her stand out in this class. Head of good shape and proportion, with the correct definition, pleasing eye shape with a good dark colour, and has that really mischievous look in her eye. Clean reach of neck into well laid back shoulders and return of upper arm, good depth to chest for her age. Excellent bone and super feet, held her topline powering from strong hindquarters, need tighten as she come towards me but will do that with age as she drops in to her front. She is a really nice type of bitch. My Reserve Best of Breed.

2nd Blacktoft Frozen in Tine by Windyhollows

Slightly older than the winner at 16 months but not quite as forward. Again this lady has pleasing head shape, neck good in to well-placed shoulders and a decent return of upper arm. Stands on good legs and neat feet. Good through the body, ribs well back and good loin. Strong through the quarters with stifles well bent and hocks well let down. As with the winner scored in profile movement.

3rd Seaheart Crian at Gloi

Post Graduate (11,5)

1st Seaheart Byron

I liked this chap a lot but it is fair to say that his head wasn’t in the same place today and he just wouldn’t play ball with his handler. Well made throughout with balanced angles fore and aft. Head is appealing with a good overall shape, enhanced by a kind eye. Clean through the neck in to a decent front assembly, well boned legs, would have liked slightly tighter feet. Body well-proportioned with ribs well sprung and a firm loin, topline level and held throughout. Quarters well developed with stifles well bent. Good rear action on the move. Smart dog with a lot to like about him.

3RD Buckleyhill Finava Legacy (ai)

Open Dog (1,0)

1st Torwood Paw Trait

Well-made boy, now two years old. Well up for size but still balanced. Head masculine but a little broad in back skull much for my tastes. Well made through the body. Good front assembly, shoulders well laid back and good return of upper arm. Decent spring of rib and a firm through the loin. Well-made quarters with a good bend of stifle. Just a little untidy in front action as he came towards me today.

Open Bitch (7,2)

1st Ch Woodfinch Hydra JW

Where do I start, this lady took Best Bitch under me when I judged the club show and my opinion has not changed. Now two years on she is the mature finished article and I am delighted to see she has her title which in my opinion is well deserved. She is not overdone in anyway and to me was totally without exaggeration, which is what I was looking for. I found her balanced throughout. Her head is appealing and of good shape with a lovely eye. Clean through the neck which led in to well-placed shoulders and a good return of upper arm. Standing on well boned legs and neat feet. Correct depth in forechest. Ribs well sprung, leading in to a firm short loin. Quarters well developed, stifles moderately bent and hocks well let down and tail straight of her back. She came alive on the move and had really super profile action. Coat in excellent condition. Today Best of Breed with ease and delighted she went on to Group 3, many congratulations.

2nd Eskwinds Driving Miss Daisy To Windyhollows

Another I have judged before and has done well under me. Smart overall shape on this eight and a half year old bitch, not a big one but very well put together. Presented an elegant picture on the stack but on the move and didn’t quite hold her topline but had accurate foot fall. She has a beautiful head and expression, neck good and set into well placed shoulders, a tad short in upper arm. Chest has good depth, standing on well boned legs and neat feet. Body well-proportioned.
