1st & BEST AVNSC HOUND PUPPY & HOUND PUPPY GROUP 3 Hills Beagle LULUWELLS MAJOR AT DONAY

Smart lad with masculine head. Good front and rear angulation. Excellent bone. Level topline, Well sprung ribcage. Good rear quarters. Easy free action. Sound coming and going.

2nd Campbell-Woodfords Irish Wolfhound KILMACDUAGH AEDNAT

Well covered and quite mature lad on his way out of puppy soon. Attractive head, Strong well arched neck. Straight well angulated front. Good depth of chest and spring of rib. Moved very well in a ring that was a little small for him.

1st & RES AVNSC HOUND Foglias W/H Dachs KENTIXEN ABIES GRANDIS

Quality male who was well proportioned throughout. Good front and rear angulation. Well ribbed up. Plenty of heart and lung room. Moved very soundly coming and going. Would just have liked a shade more animation on the move, but his quality couldn’t be denied.

2nd Sutton & Pankhurst L/H Dachs LILIA ROSE AT DAMAI

Unfortunately didn’t remain for critique.

Strong masculine lad coming into his prime. Powerfully built but with quality. Strength without being coarse. Excellent front and rear angulation, Deep chest with good tuck up. Super topline. Straight and true when moving. Still managed to show off his qualities in a slightly confining ring.

2nd Hankeys Beagle LUCXAND LEONA

Pretty girl who had a lovely expression and was feminine without losing her houndiness! Well angulated front and rear. Moved well coming and going and in profile. Excellent topline

1st BP, RES BOB & Hound Puppy Group 1 Boydells NIGHTWIND YOU CAN’T STOP THE BEAT (Imp)

Lovely black with a smashing outline, he was quality from the tip of his nose to the ring in his tail. Very well made under his coat, with excellent angulation front and rear and correct depth and spring of rib. Well filled in front. Moved with spring, drive and a style of high order. Very well behaved too! Just couldn’t resist him! Will watch his career with interest.

2nd Turner, Hutton & Boydells NIGHTWIND YOU’RE MY KIND OF CRAZY

Litter sister to my winner. Very feminine girl with a lovely expression and correct eye shape. Long neck let into well laid shoulders. Needs time to learn how to control herself and use her attributes to their best advantage. Do persevere!

1st Boydell & Farquhars KERRIJOY THE PYRAMID KING ShCM

Black mask gold who was very masculine. Lovely chiseling in his foreface. Good front angulation. Short hocks. Lovely ring tail. Coat in lovely condition. Not so happy in the small ring.

Very feminine brindle girl. Good front and rear angulation. Well sprung through the ribcage, with good depth and a short strong loin. Good topline with correct fallaway and well set on tail. Excellent coat. Moved well in profile and soundly both coming and going. Excellent head carriage. I was delighted to be able to award her BOB and, later, Hound Group 2.

2nd Boydell & Fairburns NIGHTWIND THE BEAT GOES ON AT WARRENOAK JW ShCM

Gold who was a little less ‘giving’ of herself today. Nice angulation front and rear. Nice feet. Moved ok.

Black and tan of correct shape and length. Excellent topline and correct underline. Good front and rear angulation. Sound coming and going and moved out well in profile. Will be following her with interest.

2nd Robertsons AYSEEBEE LOOK WHO’S TALKING TO RAVENWOOD

Red male of good shape and proportions. Good head and ears. Sound rear angulation and movement. Good tail set and carriage. Just lost his topline a little when moving.

1st Taylors TRAGEEDA HOT TO TROT

Brindle girl. Stood alone but I really liked her shape and soundness. Very feminine but without losing strength. Lovely expression. Well proportioned throughout her body with a super front and good keel. Moved very well.

1st & Res BOB Taylors OUR CHOCOLATE CHIP TO TRAGEEDA

Chocolate like his name- masculine but with good quality. I liked his shape and his sound movement. Correct length and prominent keel. Excellent topline. Super attitude too! Pushed the BOB hard.

2nd Lewis ARDENRUN MAID OF THE WEALD

Red who was very pretty with a nice shape. Good head and expression. Good length of neck and well set into her shoulders. Moved well.

 3rd Robertsons RAVENWOOD SIMPLY EXQUISITE

1st & BOB & HOUND GROUP 1 Pearmain & Sherwoods LOKMADI CRYSTAL WINGS FOR DELANDMAR This red girl was super quality. Feminine, with correct proportions throughout and with a good underline and the best of toplines. Her angulation was correct front and rear and she used it when she moved. She was sound coming and going, moving parallel, and drove well through from the hindquarters. She was just my cup of tea and I was delighted to take her all the way through to Hound Group 1!

2nd Bullis GOODTRY RUBY TUESDAY AT AMAFFREY

Same sire as my winner this red girl had many of the same qualities to her half sister. Lovely head and expression, well angulated throughout with good profile movement. Good underline.

Lovely well balanced puppy of 11 months who was quality throughout. Totally straight and true coming and going and with excellent profile movement. Lovely expression and excellent pigment. Will have a bright future I’m certain.

1st Bowens Flat Coat Retriever CH CANDILIZ BLACK ADMIRAL FOR CLANDRIFT JW ShCM This flatcoat was pure quality. Excellent breed type and presented to perfection. Moved like he could work hard all day and was so totally sound. A pleasure to have had the opportunity to have my hands on him. Took this class with ease.

2nd Bartletts Siberian Huskey ARCTICSKIES SHOWSTOPPA

Another lovely sound dog who made the best of himself. Well balanced with a super head and expression. Good coat. Tough luck coming up against my winner, but no disgrace to be 2nd to him!
