1st: 4564 MORRIS Miss C Riondel Candyman

Dark blue roan minor puppy dog. Lovely outline, handsome masculine head even on one so young. Beautifully presented and nicely put together overall and very square in outline and well off for substance. Moved true front and rear with good width behind, driving off short strong pasterns.

2nd: 4518 BABESTER Ms T Kalispell The Conqueror

Orange roan minor puppy dog carrying a bit of extra puppy weight, which I felt spoilt his overall outline. He wasn’t in his best coat today, but was happy on the move for one so young and moved with reasonable drive

Class 1324 PD (4 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 4549 KETTLE Misses S & A Lujesa Impossible Dream

Smart black dog with masculine head and expressive dark eye, had a good depth of flew and correct length of head to muzzle ratio. Was beautifully presented and well balanced overall, he moved with great drive, but would have liked to see a little more furnishing on the tail to complete the picture.

2nd: 4526 CORNETT Mrs K Jennobar Let There Be Magic

Blue roan dog of good shape overall, moved steadily on well angulated quarters, perhaps a little less feathering on chest to allow the definition in his front to be shown.

Orange roan dog, he was full of himself in the ring today but managed to steady on the move and covered the ground well, beautifully presented, lovely neck and shoulders, nice head and expression.

2nd: 4561 MCSHANE Mrs K & Mr B Obsidian Spring Marvel

Black dog – stronger in skull than 1 with quite a marked stop. Beautifully presented and moved steadily when he settled.

1st: 4585 SMITH Mrs J E Pearkim Pokemon At Luanshya

Orange roan dog, placed first in a challenging class. Nice head and expression with good shape and definition, would have preferred a more masculine outlook. Overall shape and outline pleasing but would have preferred more substance.

2nd: 4621 YOUNG Mrs & Miss S & D Canyonn Classic Legacy JW

Black dog of favourable outline, good shoulders and matching rear angulation. Rather strong in head, but moved soundly and with drive.

Blue roan with compact outline displaying a strong square body core. Good angulation in fore and hindquarters enabling steady sound movement with correct tail set and carriage. Well presented and in super coat and condition.

2nd: 4592 TERRY Mrs S J Shaggylands To Hot To Handle

Blue roan displaying good neck and shoulders, and strong driving hindquarters. Not quite the compactness of 1 and would prefer a stronger topline.

Class 1328 LD (12 Entries) Abs: 2

1st: 4587 SMITH, Mrs P A & OZANNE Mrs L K Lyntonwold L'amore Il Signor

Both exhibits were blue roans. This was a close decision with the exhibit standing first being just a touch more compact in outline. Masculine heads and melting expressions on both, the first exhibit’s head just having the edge on it for me with a shade more definition to skull. Both dogs were well off for bone and substance. Also both were presented in excellent coat and condition with good angulation front and rear, enabling sound true movement. The first placed exhibit was particularly pleasing to watch moving around the ring as he displayed a most confident and sturdy gait.

What a fortunate position I found myself in when judging this class. The top quality dogs I placed first and second, an orange roan and a blue roan, were what I consider to be two outstanding examples of the breed, slight difference in their height, but nothing that detracted from either of their well balanced and compact outlines. Almost identical in their wealth of virtues, I was not disappointed in any aspect of either of them, both presented to perfection with not a hair out of place and both so soundly constructed that both their individual movements were the required true through action with such powerful drive. Fabulous heads and expression on both of them with so much to love throughout. I chose the orange roan for first place because his gait reminded me so much of the phrase ‘typical bustling movement’ which is a much-loved characteristic of this breed. I was delighted to award the Dog CC and Reserve Dog CC to these two superb exhibits.

7 yrs old presented and handled well. Good angulation front and rear which enabled him to cover the ground well and with drive. Moved sound and true.

7 yrs old, not in his best coat today. Would prefer more definition to head. Was steady on the move.

So very pleasing quality blue roan puppy bitch, that showed off her super neck and shoulders to full advantage. She had lovely bone and substance and the sweetest of heads with good width to muzzle and really feminine in expression. Moved sound and true on strong hindquarters and with a real steadiness and drive for one so young. Was please to award her Best Puppy in Breed.

2nd: 4560 MCBRIDE Mrs J A Topday Aura

Another young blue roan bitch of smart outline and good balance. So feminine in expression, found her to be a little heavier in head than one.

Outstanding quality blue roan bitch of super construction. Everything to like in her make-up, including fabulous bone and substance, with very good front and rear angulation. Carrying a shade too much rolling puppy weight today for me and took a bit of time to settle when moving. Once she did settle she moved true and with drive. Look forward to seeing her in the ring as she matures.

2nd: 4566 MORRIS Mrs V Jennobar A Touch Of Magic

Blue roan bitch, well put together and good presentation. Feminine head and expression, found her a shade heavier in head than one and not quite so compact.

Loved this pretty blue roan bitch who had a lovely balanced head and so gentle feminine expression. Of very nice size and extremely compact giving a good balanced outline. Well put together overall and presented in super coat and condition. Earned her first place in this class as a quality exhibit who was a true, sound and steady mover with great drive

2nd: 4583 SHINKFIELD, Mrs S & LESTER Mrs P Quettadene Touch the Stars

Another beautiful bitch, a black this time, with desired feminine head and gentle, melting expression. Presented immaculately and caught my eye when she entered the ring. She was a little unsteady on the move at first but soon settled in sync with her handler and got into her stride, which was both sound and true. She has great bone and substance and it was such a close decision today.

Dark blue roan bitch of good size with a delightful feminine head and soft expression. Well laid shoulders, with good body and not overdone in any way. Once she steadied on the move she was true and sound with great drive. Was presented in superb coat and condition.

2nd: 4539 GLENDINNING Ms F Plaiglen Jenga

Golden bitch, standing a shade taller than the first, but still compact and well balanced. So steady on the move, showing off her lovely neck and shoulders, good angulation overall both front and rear. She was slightly heavier in head to the one standing first but still feminine nevertheless. In great coat and condition.

Two very nice blue roan bitches, with lots to like about each of them, both having correctly proportioned feminine heads with good eye colour, I just preferred the overall expression and also the gait of one today. Both bitches were balanced in outline and kept their top line on the move too, forelegs were straight and well boned with their hindquarters displaying a good bend of stifle and short strong rear pasterns.

A most feminine of heads on this delightful top quality black bitch, whose expression truly matched the requirement of gentle but wide awake and merry. So much to like including length of neck flowing into fine sloping shoulders of correct layback. Her wide muscular hindquarters including her strong short rear pasterns really allowed her to show off to full advantage on the move. Was pleased to award her the Reserve CC

2nd: 4551 KETTLE Misses S & A Lujesa Jean Genie JW

Very attractive black bitch with lots to like. She had great forequarters and well defined rear angulation. Loved her head and expression. Very much in proportion overall, with good bone and substance showing off her compact and well balanced outline. Moved sound and true but didn't quite have the vigour of one today.

Super feminine black bitch of utmost quality that had the most gorgeous head and such gentle expression. Presented in fabulous condition, compact, well off for bone and so balanced overall. Her superb neck and shoulders which contributed to her correct front angulation matched her equally strong and well angulated hindquarters with short strong loin enabling her to effortlessly cover the ground with plenty of drive. A real pleasure to go over her, and to watch her move around the ring. So delighted to award her the Bitch CC today.

2nd: 4618 WILDMAN, Mr M K & SPENSER Miss A E Jun Ch Esp Ch Port Ch Serenade De Andaba Xey TAF

Compact and very well balanced super feminine black bitch of a good size that definitely made a striking outline when stood. Presented in fabulous coat and condition. I felt that she was not happy in the ring today, the abhorrent weather may have played a part in this as she certainly did not give of her best on the move.
