Ladies Kennel Association

Breed: Chinese Crested

I would like to thank the exhibitors for their entry. There were some very nice dogs to go over. Some points I would like to highlight: There were too many short back exhibits, this breed is not a square breed, let alone short backed. The breed should have good angulation front and rear, however this was lacking in far too many today, and therefore their movement was compromised. Mouths appear to be an issue, and it was sad to see so few correct feet. Please remember before you criticize a judge, be aware of what you are showing and how it compares to the breed standard. I was happy to find what I was looking for in my principal winners.

Minor Puppy Dog (8/5)

1: Dixon DEBRITA DILLIGENT Very smart HL pup with bags of promise. Lovely head with correct ears, and good eye shape. Correct tail set & carriage. Balanced throughout. Well angulated front and rear, sound and free moving. Best Puppy

2: Farquharson SHANSHAL PRINCE OF ARABIA Heavily coated puff baby. Attractive head with good ears, eye & bite. Correct body shape, good tail set & carriage. Well angulated and sound & free moving. Balanced baby.

3: Bello Herrera ENSIDIAS SERVING REALNESS

Res: Coulter SCHERZANDO BETELGEUSE

Puppy Dog (7/2)

1: Farquharson Shanshal Prince Of Arabia (as above)

2: Piper BE MY DOG'S TOPSAIL CODY OF ZANJERO (IMP) HL boy of correct shape & size. Lovely head. Would have preferred a little more angulation either end, but moved steadily once he stopped bouncing about, and his front movement was more settled than in the previous class.

Junior Dog (2/2)

1: Payne & Dunlop HABIBA PREFER BLONDES HL boy of correct shape & size. Attractive head, well constructed body. Correct tail set & carriage. Not as happy as he could have been but won on construction and soundness.

2: Higgs Touch BEAUTY FIRE POWER Correct eye, ears & bite. Would have preferred more length of body on this HL boy and better angulation. Would also prefer more forward reach & rear drive, and his topline was unsettled. Correct tail set & carriage.

Post Graduate Dog (5/4)

1: Knowles PARIANSOEZ INNUENDO AT JHANCHI JW Easy winner of this class. Good head with correct eye and ears. Balanced body. Once he settled down, he was free moving with correct tail set & carriage.

2: Shakeshaft DOUCAI'S SHOW BOY Heavily made HL boy. Unsettled topline. Tail set & carriage high, however positive on the move.

3: Piper,& Peppett CRESTSPITZ SHADOW WALKER OF ZANJERO

Res: Collins & Collins ZERACHIEL THE EMPEROR AT GIZOOTY

Limit Dog (4/3)

1: Payne & Dunlop HABIBA AS YOU WERE Elegant HL dog of correct shape & size. Lovely head with correct eye and ear set. Well angulated front & rear, sound and free moving. Good tail set & carriage. Balanced throughout. CC

2: Quadling PREFIX ALFRED NOBEL WITH MALENKHAI (SWED IMP) Another nice dog with correct head proportions to body. I would have preferred a little more length of back for correct balance. Steady on move.

3: Frame ELFALLONS LITTLE DRAGON

Open Dog (4/3)

1: Lemmeke & Lemmeke JEAN DARK KING FOR A DAY Quality HL dog who was strong challenger for the CC, I liked this boy very much. Good head with correct eye, ears & bite. Well angulated front & rear, sound and free moving. Well presented. I just preferred the style of the limit dog, which is why he had to settle for the RCC today.

2: Moyes & Hunter BRYELIS THE RINGMASTER JW HL boy of correct shape & size. Balanced head with good ears & eye. Correct body proportions. Unsettled hind movement.

3: Collins & Collins ZERACHIEL THE EMPEROR AT GIZOOTY

Veteran Dog (2/2)

1: Moyes,& Hunter NYSIROS MEET JOE BLACK VIA BRYELIS This HL boy was one of the best constructed of the day and his movement reflected this. A lovely dog who was balanced throughout. Good head with correct eye & ears. He appeared to have left his teeth at home, but this was age related and was the only sign of his 10 years of age. Best Veteran

2: Brooks OOLAGHA THEME IN CREAM AT TOYTALES SH.CM Another quality dog. Beautifully presented PP in excellent coat & condition. Lovely head with correct eye, ears, bite. Balanced body with correct tail set & carriage. Sound & free moving. A lot to like.

Good Citizens Dog (1/1)

1: Collins & Collins Zerachiel The Emperor At Gizooty Sable PP of correct body shape. Head proportions correct. Lacked refinement and tail carried curled over back.

Minor Puppy Bitch (5/2)

1: Lemmeke & Lemmeke JEAN DARK ONLY IF I liked this HL baby very much. She was correct shape with balanced head, correct eye, ear, bite. Good feet. Correct body shape with good tail set & carriage. Well constructed, sound and free moving. I look forward to seeing how she matures.

2: Mckenzie & Booth SHANSHAL QUEEN OF SHEBA AT CHINOIS Pretty HL baby with sweet head. I would have just preferred a little more length of back and more positive movement to complete the picture.

Puppy Bitch (5/1)

1: Lemmeke & Lemmeke Jean Dark Only If (as above)

Junior Bitch (6/5)

1: Dunlop & Mclellan HABIBA TRUE BLUE This HL youngster commanded attention as soon as she came into the ring. Lovely head with good ears, eye & bite. Balanced body with good angulation either end. Correct tail set & carriage. Sound and free moving. Although young, she stood out for me and I had no hesitation in awarding her CC & BOB

2: Moyes & Hunter BRYELIS VOODOO WOMAN Black HL who caught my eye and was unlucky to meet 1. Correct shape & size. Correct ears, eye & bite. Good tail set & carriage. Sound and free moving. A lot to like

3: Bell BRYELIS DEVIL WOMAN

Res: Dominczak BLANCHE INTELLIGENT INSOLITE FAMILIER

Post Graduate Bitch (8/5)

1: Bell BRYELIS BELLE O THE BALL 1 & 2 were similar type mahog HL girls. My winner had a lovely head with correct eyes & ears. Good body shape with desired angulation front and rear. Sound and free moving. Correct tail set & carriage. Stylish girl who caught my eye. RCC

2: Higgs FAIRY VOM APFELLAND (IMP) I liked this girl also. She had many of the attributes of the winner, but was a little reluctant to show to her best advantage. I preferred the head and freedom of movement of 1, but this is a quality girl who I look forward to seeing again.

3: Panayiotis YNCHREENOO LUS NY PAISH

Res: Lane KONISHIKI TIGER LILLEY

Limit Bitch (10/9)

1: Mearns LUNACREST HECTOR'S JOY Blue laced HL girl who I liked very much. Pretty head with good ear & eye. I would have preferred a little more length of back, however she still merited her position. Correct tail set & carriage. Well angulated front & rear. Sound & free moving. Handler needs more confidence to get the best out of her.
