Breed: Best in Show

                                Southern Border Collie Club

                                    32nd Championship Show

It was an honour to be asked to judge BIS, BPIS & BVIS at this very friendly show.

Great atmosphere & some very nice exhibits.

BIS: I awarded to the Dog, Miss Hale's: SH.CH Laceway Lone Ranger JW just coming up 8 an really didn't show his age at all, masculine head with good width of skull, well defined stop correct dark oval shaped eyes, strong neck on well placed shoulders, good depth of chest & well sprung ribs, hindquarters well muscled with strong hocks, lovely strong bone throughout, moved with smooth effortless gait. It was his soundness & ground covering movement that looked like he could go all day that won him BIS & also BVIS.

RBIS: Ms A Walters: SH CH Goytre Daddy's Saucie a Girl JW 4 yr old bitch with feminine head, moderate amount of stop & dark eyes, well placed ears, moderate length of neck on well placed shoulders with well sprung ribs, strong loin & good rear angulations, with good bone, strong hocks allowed plenty of drive. I just preferred the dogs more balanced outline. But two very good examples of the breed.

BPIS: Dr Shahmatova's: Nashdom Putting On The Style, two very different babies an just felt the dog puppy was more settled both on the stand & move. Just 7 months & quite the baby, his head is developing well, just needs to broaden, lovely dark eye colour with correct shape, moderate neck on well placed shoulders, ribs of good length for age & moderate rear angulations, with firm hocks & nice neat feet, enough bone for his age, everything is there & in right place. Very confident on move with effortless movement.

RBPIS: Mrs Turner: Littlethorn Aero, coming up to a year, lovely feminine head with soft expression, dark eyes & moderate amount of stop, moderate neck with good lay back of shoulder, moderate spring of rib, good rear angulations, just wasn't as settled on the move as the dog.

BVIS: Miss Hale's: SH.CH Laceway Lone Ranger JW BIS winner.

RBVIS: Ms Kernahan's: Cebelrai Nashira, 8 year old bitch who certainly didn't show her age on move, balanced & good breed type.
