Breed: Fox Terrier (Wire)

Boston & District Canine Society, 7 January 2018.

My sincere thanks to the committee for the opportunity to judge at this championship show, for the assistance from my stewards and to all of the exhibitors, although few, for their support.

WIRE FOX TERRIER JUNIOR DOG, 1,1

WIRE FOX TERRIER LIMIT DOG, 1,0

1st Anderson Brocolitia Stage Manager at Proveits, a larger 3 year old dog he has a long head and small neat ears, small eyes and good mouth. Decent bone and tight feet. He has a well built rear and good muscle. Coat is plush and harsh to touch. Could do with a touch more body and was tending to toe in coming towards.

WIRE FOX TERRIER OPEN DOG, 3,2

1st Malzoni Am Ch Hampton Courts Monte Cristo, 5 year old saddle marked dog, long lean head, small ears and eyes, good mouth, teeth could be cleaner, straight front, lovely strong neck into well laid shoulder, ultra short in back, well bent stifle, good legs and feet, immaculately present crisp coat although presentation is not to my taste. Moved extremely accurately fore and aft and handled to make the absolute best of him, Best of Breed and delighted he went on to top the group.

WIRE FOX TERRIER JUNIOR BITCH, 2,0

1st Nixon Willowyre Whyte Magic, 13 month bitch presented in first class order. Longest of lean heads, excellent eye, ears set and carriage, dark small eyes. She is of lovely size, enough bone, lovely straight front and tight feet. Short backed, good rounded rear, excellent tail and set on. Had to make her handler work to get the best out of her but once settled she showed that her great construction was reflected in her movement. Best Bitch and Res best of breed.

2nd Rogers Laketrix Set Course of Ynysstaff a 6 month old raw baby, good length to head and flat skull, small round dark eyes, good mouth and pigment. She is a bit longer in back than I would like and could have a little more behind the tail. Really outgoing puppy and moved well for one so young. Best Puppy.

WIRE FOX TERRIER LIMIT BITCH, 1,0

1st Mullaney Brocolitia Saffron, 3 year old saddle mark bitch, good head with small eyes and ears. She is good for size and compact, stands on lovely tight feet, nice tail set and carriage, moved well both ways.

WIRE FOX TERRIER OPEN BITCH, 2,1

1st Bambridge Netertonion Sweet Chariot of Beckstone ShCM, a 4 year old bitch presented in immaculate order with hard coat and profuse furnishing. Long head, with good mouth and dark eye. Nice firm neck into well laid shoulder, nice feet, would prefer more depth of chest and a shorter back. Moved accurately. Res best bitch.
