Otterhounds

I stepped in at the last minute as a replacement judge.

Thank you to the Society for the invitation and to the exhibitors for allowing me to assess your hounds.

JD (1) Harris. Pcoh Siebie. Res BD

Raw white/parti youngster of almost 15 mths, would ideally prefer a more sturdy frame, liked his head and eye, has a large nose, furled leathers, pleases in his fore and hind angulation, moves out with an easy action, but rather spoilt by high tail carriage, obviously still needing to mature and fill his frame.

Now almost 5yrs I judged this b/t lad last time I judged 3 yrs ago, has now developed and matured into a handsome hound, pleases in balance and outline, handsome head, large nose, furled leathers, balanced angulation in fore and hind quarters, well set tail with good carriage, has an easy ground covering action.

1 Ganna. Ch & Ir Ch Keecott Florin. BB & BOB

Mature wheaten lady now rising 9 yrs, of excellent balance and proportions, strong and robust frame, has a lovely feminine headpiece with large nose and strong muzzle, draped by furled leathers, excellent forehand and hindquarters, deep body well ribbed back, tail well set and carried, low set hocks, still in excellent muscular condition, coat of correct texture, moved out easily with a long free stride.

3 yr b/t of a slightly lighter build, again appealed in head/eye and expression, large nose and furled leathers, soundly put together, could not match the reach and drive of 1.
