Southern Counties Canine Association

Breed: Bearded Collie

                     Southern Counties Canine Association

                             Championship Show 2/6/18

Bearded Collies.

I would like to thank all of the exhibitors for allowing me the honour of judging their lovely dogs, the Southern Counties Canine Association committee for inviting me to take on this super entry at the last minute, I thoroughly enjoyed my day. I wish Wendy well and hope she has the pain under control soon.

In general I was extremely pleased with my quality entry & some lovely dogs found themselves lower down or even cardless in some classes. However I did find a number of shoulders rather upright and without the correct lay. Rib/ loin ratio is something else I feel we as breeders need to watch as well as the odd cylindrical rib cage creeping in. Generally we are blessed with a breed to be proud of, let’s not lose site of the standard.
