Richmond Dog Show Society

Thank you for asking me to judge today. My entry was of good quality. The ring was not good being half in and out with a massive hole in the middle so assessing movement was challenging as the entire centre of the ring had to be avoided to prevent possible injury to handler and dog. Some of the dogs who I know have moved better really did not cope with this ring which was a shame.

Veteran Dog (1 entry) (0 absent)

1st. Reeves Miss D Rosguard Gwriow Lughes for Korsvig. Back & White Male 8 years old. Nice head and expression with correct oblique set eyes and good earset. Good Shoulder, nice level topline with the correct rise over the loin. Moved ok in a challenging ring.

Special Beginners (2,2)

Minor Puppy Dog (1,0)

1st Bates Mrs k &Mr J Staggan Superstition. 7 month old male with a lot of maturing to do. Typical head & expression. Well balanced with correct length to height. Movement still very loose but at just 7 months he has plenty of time.

Puppy Dog (5,1)

1st Williams Mr D & Salazka’s Newt Scamander. Monocromatic black male at the smaller end of the standard. Pretty head with good front and rear angulation. Level topline. Nice slope on pasterns with low set hocks. Moved well after the initial upset. Very well muscled for a puppy.

2nd Midgley Mrs K Nativespirits Mistyryan. Black & white. Gorgeous head and expression with correct almond eyes. Level topline. Slightly short in the upperarm. Correct slope to the pastern. Covered the ground well on the move.

Junior Dog (3,1)

1st Wakker Mr HH & Mrs JM Barking Brooks Mountain Mist at Ceannabeinne. Medium sized male with nice head and expression. Nice double coat. Level topline with good rise over the loin. Correct tail set Very hard muscle with good front and rear angulation . Moved with good reach and drive.

2nd Ashcroft Mrs E. Amical Smile N Wave for Zanjelic. 17 months Red. Masculine head and expression. Level topline with good tail set and carriage. Moved ok but the ground did him no favours as he seemed to move very wide behind.

PostGraduate Dog (5,1)

1st Cooper Miss J. Janskcoo’s Fortitude JW. Grey & White 2 years old. Beautiful head and Expression shown in hard condition. Good front and rear angulation. Nice level topline which remained steady on the move. This dog will have a bright future. RCC

2nd Beirne Mr R J & Mrs K L. Penkalas Itaska. Slightly oversized boy with nice head. Nice profile standing but moved a bit close behind.

3rd Yerril Mr & Mrs M. Alepenkye Fruit Loops

1st Williams Mr D & Mrs C Sibersong’s Dark Sovereign for Salazka (IMP USA) Black Male on the smaller end of the standard but absolutely standard fitting. Shown in hard condition with beautiful plush double coat. Beautiful head and expression. Correct ear set leading to good length of neck. Good shoulder angulation, correct level topline which remained level on the move. Slight rise over the loin. Tail carried correctly and good rear angulation. This boy is top quality and he well deserved the CC today. CC.BOB

2nd Blake Ms SD & Good Mr G L Rykalov’s Rocky Gibralter. 6 Year old white male. Medium sized with good front and rear angulation. Very nice on the move.

3rd Wakker Mr HH & Mrs JM Shaytaans Doctor Watson at Ceannabeinne (Imp USA)

1st Mr P and Mrs L Chatanika’s Wild Whistler. Grey & White. Foxy head with beautiful head and expression. Good earset and carriage. Nice neck flowing into correct well laid back shoulders. Level topline with correct rise over the loin. Very nice boy.

2nd Davis Mr P C & Mrs Y M Amical Morticon JW Sh.CM. Grey & White. Almond eyes, nice head and expression with correct earset. Good length to height and moved ok.

3rd Platt Ms J Rykalov’s Sparks at Wightflight

1st Bowering Mr A & Evans Ms P. Champion Penkhalas’s Kyra Silver Grey at the smaller end of the standard Beautiful head and foxy expression. Nice front and rear angulation with correct slope to the pasterns and well laid down hocks. Beautiful ground covering movement. RCC best Veteran

2nd Platt Ms J. Ch Rigrunner Candybar in Wightflight. Pushed hard for first place. Beautiful head and expression. Slightly longer in body than one. Shown in hard condition with good ground covering movement.

1st Bowden Miss C & Hughes Mr & Mrs M Staggan’s Luck be a Lady . Grey & White nice head and expression with good earset. Level topline. Good front and rear angulation. Correct slope to the pastern. Moved with reach and drive . Best Puppy

2nd Bowden Miss C & Hughes Mr & Mrs M Staggan’s Serendipity Sister to 1st She was equally as nice but not as together on the move as her sister.

Puppy Bitch (1)

1st Brown Mrs E L Polarcreek Taiya. 10 months old and very immature. Very pretty head and nice build with correct angulations throughout. She moved well with a good tailset. I would like to see her with a bit more weight on her but she was out of coat today.

Junior Bitch (4.0)

1st Johnston Miss E L. Husky Heart’s Princess Lea at Losttrail (imp). Sable, blue eyes with a striking look. 16 mths old with nice head and expression, tall ears which were well set. Good neck leading into good shoulder angulation. Level topline and good rear angles. Very nice on the move.

2nd Goodwin Mrs K M Valkyrie Siwash Legend (imp) 15 months old jet black on the smaller end of the standard. Beautiful coat. Correct length to height. Shoulders and rear angulation good and covered the ground well on the move.

1st Cooper Miss J. Janskcoo Strength and Honour JW. Grey & White. Nice head and expression with oblique almond eyes. Correct angulation which highlighted her effortless movement. One to watch

2nd Brown Mrs E L. Deshka’s Cassiar Dyr for Polarcreek. Beautiful foxy expression with almond oblique eyes. Good front and rear angulation. Pushed 1st hard as they were both effortless on the move.

3rd Jones Ms S& Mihulka Mr G. Shaytaan’s Devil Dust at Icynights (imp)

1st Wakker Mr HH & Mrs JM. Icynights Sparkle in the Mist at Ceannabeinne. Black & White. Free flowing movement. Medium sized. Nice head and expression good earset, neck and shoulders. Level topline and good tailset. This bitch really screamed her quality on the move. The uneven ground did not bother her as she was effortless and free flowing. She Well deserved the CC

2nd Mrs E L Polarcreek Alatna. Love this girls head and amazing eyes. Shown in great condition and handled well by a young handler. Good angulation front and rear with good tail carriage. Moved well.

3rd Robinson Mrs SE. Norste Zinnia Qannik Among Rigrunner

1st Robinson Mr K & Platt Ms J Ch Rigrunner Jubilee Flypast JW. Grey & White 6 years old. Nice head and expression with good angulation throughout. Very good coat. The ring did not suit this girl whom I know can move well but today she decided to pace which made it hard for me in the challenge. Beautiful bitch.

2nd Norman Miss L E Skimarque Snofall Lacie. Nice white female with good angulation front and rear. She really moved well but was longer in body than 1st.
