Very disappointing quality especially in males. This critique may appear critical in many areas but please take it in the spirit of an honest opinion and help take the breed forward. Body condition or rather lack of is a serious problem. Coat care and bad presentation I can look through as it is less important. Maybe the club could run a seminar on body condition and grooming it could be extremely helpful to a lot of exhibitors. Poor Construction and lack of type in many males especially is worrying. I considered long and hard about withholding the dog CC. My reasons are clear and given below. A few good bitches were present so at least there is some breeding stock available if mated wisely 

PD

1st

compact outline short muzzle ears and tail. Ears flat. Exc coat. Could have more neck. Good length to height to depth ratio. Moves steady 

2nd 

Good body proportions but found him a little long in both muzzle and ear length. Good coat. And tail carriage 

PGD

1st

Nicely balanced dog with good leg length if a shade long. Eye too light and ears could be shorter. Very steady mover in profile. Front over crooked and coat a little open but texture good. Would prefer shorter tail. 

2nd 

Too low in the front and topline could be more level. Good head proportions but expression spoiled by eye colour. Rear a little straight and tail low set. Movement short steps and lacks drive. 

LD

1st

Love his proportions, compact. Beautiful head and expression short muzzle ears and tail. Front ok, topline good but a little steep in croup and tail low set but carried too upright in the move. Rear is a touch straight and lacks drive but over all is a decent dog 

2nd 

Good proportions and leg length. Front too narrow and find his eye too light spoiling expression. Ears and tail could be shorter. Exc topline and coat is decent. Feet a little flat. Moved well in profile with a typical gait. 

OD

1st

long in body muzzle and tail. Short ears. Good expression, neck topline and exc harsh coat. Hocks too high and lacks drive and moves too loose in front. Loin could be shorter. 

2nd compact dog but too low to ground, good head proportions, ears and expression tail a little long in proportion to rest of dog and carried too high . Lacks reach in front and crosses in front movement. 

VD

1st 

Good proportions but showing his age. Good head shape and ears and expression. Topline a little soft and elbows could be tighter. Moves well in profile for age 

2nd 

Good expression and outline. 11 years old. Good leg length. Moderate rear. Coat a little open. 

PB

1st 

Pretty face, eyes and ears, good proportions but too fine and lacks substance. Tail ok length but too fine. Steady mover 

2nd 

good head and eye. Good topline . Front crosses over and elbows could be tighter. Nice tail 

JB

1st 

Typy compact feminine bitch. Good head proportions but a shade fine for me. Eye could be darker. Good topline and tail. Coat texture good. Steady mover moderate rear 

2nd taller squarer bitch with good head and ears. Needs to drop in chest to finish the picture.. Ives steady but just lacks fill in front 

PGB

1st

Has type. Compact, good head exc tail and topline. Front ok rear moderate. Coat exc. moves well keeping good outline. Front converges slightly 

2nd longer cast. Love her head and eye and ears and tail. A little lower to ground and elbows very loose and tail carriage could be better 

LB

1st 

Difficult class as all good bitches but very different. Beautiful head and expression. Balance and Topline and tail. Wish she was just a pound lighter. Good leg length. Moderate rear. Moved well in profile and from behind with good tail carriage 

2nd 

good leg length. Attractive head proportions but expression too hard due to eye colour. Like her outline and movement in profile. Good coat. Feminine with substance 

OB

1st

Very collected and together bitch. Feminine with substance. Good proportion. Good head and eye. Front average. And picks up slightly in profile but keeps topline on the move and has some drive. 

2nd. Like her proportions but is just a shade doggy for me and light in eye but has very typical proportions and balance and moves well. Exc coat 

VB

1st  

Good proportions feminine good head as ears and exc tail. Moved ok but coat too soft.
