BIS and Toy Group

From myself, all of the judges and the almost 8000 entrants and spectators at the City of Birmingham CA a huge thank you must go to Bill King, David Bell and their team of committee and volunteers for a hugely successful and pleasant 3 days of fun, great dogs and a friendly warm atmosphere that was enjoyed by virtually all. I just find it sad and uncomfortable that people can go home ( or even worse not even attend the event) and then create negativity that can be portrayed that brings disrepute and bad feeling to a great event enjoyed by so many. In my opinion and that of most others people go to Dog Shows to have a day out, meet their friends and enjoy their dogs. We should all remember this.

My sincere thanks to my dear friend Sara Robertson for sportingly withdrawing the countries current leader for Top Dog Ch Soletrader Magic Mike. Just to be clear there is no reason other than a close friendship for withdrawing and it would aid the sport immeasurably if some others thought and acted appropriately.

BIS

Sh Ch Veratey Vincenzo At Cassom

Cocker Spaniel. A credit to his breed and a great ambassador. His outline is clean and he has good proportions. His body condition is excellent and he was gleaming with condition. Typically merry his tail never stopped. He really excels in ribs and a well developed and rounded bum. Maybe moved a shade fast but his overall performance today still more than earned him BIS over the competition today.

RBIS

Kamis Tin Tin at Altina. Pomeranian. I had awarded the dog the toy group on Friday and when he returned today he looked even better. His outline standing and moving were just spot on with good length to leg and compact body with desired short neck. Good head and exc ears, correct tail carriage. Sound and typical movement from all angles. His coat was in exc condition and texture today.

Toy Group

For further consideration I shortlisted the Long Coat Chihuahua, Griffon Bruxellois, Coton De Tulear and CKCS but the top 4 places went to

1st Kamis Tin Tin at Altina

Pomeranian. He never put a foot wrong. When he was standing in the final cut his outline and balance made it impossible for me not to award him the Group. His coat looked better on his return for BIS being a little more crisp.

2nd Ch & Lux Ch Calaquendi Nebuchadnezzar

Pug. Correct balance and proportions. Good neck and topline held at all times. Substance bone and feet were all in balance and he moves typically with a slight roll, soundly and with no exaggeration. I loved his demeanour and carriage. Pushed hard for 1st place

3rd Litletigers Damage Case at Sleepyhollow

Japanese Chin. His expression is so typical, showing some white and looking astonished. Compact in outline elegant and aristocratic with good topline tail and ribbing. Strong rear and is typical in profile movement. Correct coat, profuse but in no way hindering soundness. Still a baby but full of promise and a bright future assured

4th Ir&Int&Gb Ch Sunny Pearls Gaspar Amo

Australian Silky Terrier. Lovely head ears and eye. Good coat. So sound and excelled on the move
