Southern Counties Canine Association

Breed: Poodle (Miniature)

Thank you to all the exhibitors for their entries and also for their sportsmanship, there were some very hard decisions to make and some not so hard! Thank you also to Southern Counties for the invitation and to my two stewards who did a brilliant job.

PD (5/1 abs) 1. Holmes-Leak Navarre’s Extrovert. What a totally appropriate name, full of himself, and a typical miniature puppy who wanted to do what he wanted to do and when he did he was stunning on the move. Loved his head and expression, super dark eye, good dentition. Good length of neck, super body, with good tail set and carriage, BPD and no hesitation to award him BPIB. 2. Carter’s Spirit Of The Night Starring Moravia At Somanic (Imp Cze). Bigger type boy, with good head and eye, nice dentition, good neck, level topline, with good angulation front and rear, moved well. Preferred the size of my winner. 3. Beaven’s Deearella Fun In The Sun. JD (5/2 abs) Davidson’s Volgarus We Can Do It. Upstanding brown, almost dark chocolate in colour, with lovely head, lighter eye and pigment as expected with his colour. Super expression, good neck, nice rib and good topline. Tail set and carried correctly. Up to top size but deserved to be awarded RBD. 2, Smith’s Kudryavyi Gnom Laskovyy May For Mezonyx (Imp Rus). Much smaller red but in proportion, nice head and eye, nice body, didn’t move as well as my class winner. 3. Alymer Deearella Fun And Laughter. PGD (1) Lee’s Ambien Abracadabra. Again bigger in type for me, adequate head with dark eye, nice body, with low set tail. Didn’t move as well as my other winners. LD Ward’s Pipparel The Look Of Love. Nice sized black, with good head and nice expression. Ample neck, nice front and rear, moved well. 2. Beck’s Lincaro Blacken The Name For Maldavale. Also up to top size, ultra short in back, nice body with good head and expression, just too big for me. OD (1) Harwood’s Ch Minarets Best Kept Secret. What can I say about this dog that has not already been said except that I could watch him move all day long, what a showman, with superb attitude and magnificent on the move. Honoured to have been allowed to go over him, and no hesitation to give him BD, BOB and pleased he won the Utility Group. VD (1) Bells Jusanin Glenister. Black in T trim and very tired in the heat – he moved well, and was a lovely size with good harsh coat. BVIB, and also won GC. Class. PB. (3, 1abs) 1. Warnes Myhaven Fancy A Look. Another typical Miniature puppy absolutely full of herself, lovely head, with good front, and a nice body, good tail set and carriage, moved erratically as so excited. BPB. 2. Lee’s Ysabelkid Faster Pussycat. Smaller in type, not quite enough dog for me, but well balanced unfortunately I think the heat was too much for her and she didn’t show to her best. JB (2/1 abs) Kitchener’s Michandy Realization. Black feminine girl with long refined head, dark eye, good dentition, correct size with good rib and short back, good tail set and carriage. Moved with style. RBB. PGB (4) 1. Harry-Griffiths Trollstone Forward Fashion. Absolutely loved her head and expression, refined and soft and very pretty. Lovely size and shape, with beautifully presented coat, good body, nice spring of rib, nice rear angulation not overdone in any way. Just my type of bitch which made this the hardest class of the day. BB & BOS. 2. Kitchener’s Michandy Realization – so unlucky to meet this bitch this was probably the hardest class of the day. Just felt the bitch was a little more feminine for me. 3. Beck’s Maldavale Martin.
