Leeds City & District Canine Association

Breed: Pomeranian

My thanks to Leeds Championship Show Committee for giving me the opportunity to award my first set of CC’s in the breed, and also to those who entered under me, and their sportsmanship at my decisions. I won’t comment on the state of the breed as I don’t feel I am in a position to do so but I was disappointed with the quality of some of the coats that lacked the harshness I was expecting to find, some exhibits were lacking in the long harsh outer coat which is a feature of the breed.

MPD (5, 1 abs) 1. Holman’s Its All Hocus Pocus At Altina. Wolf sable boy, very masculine head, with good expression, oval eyes, with small ears carried well, nice mouth. Upstanding, fine boned, small feet. Still in fluffy baby coat which I expect he will lose. Moved freely and with confidence. RCC. 2. Fox’s Foxlyn Simply Irresistible. Shaded sable, slightly less foxy than my winner, nice topline and moved well. 3. Brown & Holman’s Altina’s Leonardo. PD (3, 1 abs) 1. Dixon Hardwick’s Aacharmoe’s Dazzle’s Reign. Cream upstanding boy, on the larger size for me, but well constructed, nice head, would have preferred slightly smaller ears, correct length of neck, moved well. 2. Simmons’ Sueacres Legend Of Petitpom. Orange sable with adequate head, short neck into good shoulders, preferred his size to winner but his head was not to my preference. JD (5, 1abs) 1. Pike’s Pom de Cachemir Flurescent Adolescent At Breezelyn. Very mature compact red sable with a good shaped head and skull, nice shoulder and neck, well set tail, good rear angulation. Good movement and full of himself. 2. Holman’s Baromar Dubonet At Altina. Orange in full puppy coat, a little on the big side for me, nice expression and eye, didn’t do himself justice on the move in this class. 3. Charlton’s Darade Style And Class. PGD (4, 1 abs) 1. Fleetwood Auberge Tyrion. Shaded sable of nice size, good foxy head with correct bite, nice front with short neck and good tail set and carriage. 2. Berrington’s Altina’s Brooklyn At Sarasate. Red sable lighter in eye than my winner, although very similar in shape and style. Could easily change places in future classes. 3. Simpson’s Darade Boston Shining Star. LD (8, 1 abs). Berrington’s Kamis Tin Tin At Altina (Imp) JW. Orange who moved out well despite the thunderstorm, loved his head and expression, nice small ears, good shaped eyes. Short neck, good shoulders, and good rear end. 2. Holman’s Altina’s Manhatten. Very pretty boy, orange sable of correct size, would have preferred him a little more masculine, but moved out well and deserved his placement. 3. Fox’s Kenigsvet Glering Light At Foxlyn (Imp) OD (7, 2 abs) 1. Cawthera-Purdy’s Ch Reta Hugo’s There Lireva. Orange with super correct coat and the most attractive head, oval eye, and super ears, short neck into well laid shoulders, short and compact body, with lovely small cat like feet, correct bone and angulations, good tail set and carriage. Moved with bounce and thoroughly enjoying himself. The BCC winner pushed hard but awarded him on his maturity the DCC, BOB and then delighted to see him go Group 3. 2. Norman’s Alexiasdream Is Fabioso JW. Red sable of correct size and shape, good head and eye, good rear, small and square, didn’t have the bounce of my winner. 3. Adamson’s Sylvids Thistle Do JW ShCM. SBD/B (5) Little & Richard’s Vitorio Rossi Kentucky Cream bitch in full coat, which was not my ideal, but she was very pretty and moved well, and won this class on her attitude. BSB 2. Simmon’s Tiny Jewels’ Diamond Crown For Petitpom (Imp Nor) Cream sable with a very pretty expression, slightly bigger ears than my preference and not the attitude of my winner. 3. Proctor & McGowan’s Vaders Easy Tiger To Tramarllan. MPB (8, 2abs) 1. Holman’s Faires Shimmering Shine At Altina. Cream litter mate to MPD winner, and much the same critique applies, put together nicely and should do well in the future when her coat matures. 2. Little & Richard’s Vitorio Rossi Kentucky. 3. Little & Richards Pomalucci The Aristocats PB (6) 1. Cawthera-Purdy’s Lireva’s Dancing With Stars. Very smart orange with a lovely head, with foxy expression, short and compact body, with fine bone, moved freely and happily. 2. Smith’s Sueacres Just A Dream. Orange sable slightly longer than I prefer, but very pretty head, with nice eye and expression. Nice neck and shoulder, good topline, and tail set. Moved well. 3. D’Arcy & Duffield’s Jacobian Hera’s Moonlight With Paavali. JB (5, 1 abs) 1. Cawthera-Purdy’s Lireva’s Dancing On Attitude. Orange who had left her some of her coat at home but still had to win this class on her construction and quality. Lovely head, with very pretty foxy expression, short neck, good shoulder, nice bone and correct tail set and carriage. 2. Robb’s Klassna Just Imagine Gleniren. I thought as she entered the ring this girl would be my class winner, very good mover, and good head and expression, spoilt for me by her coat presentation. 3. Bridgen’s Spanapoms The Way You Move At Lapchis. PGB (6, 2 abs) 1. Smith’s Sueacres Betting On Evie. Orange sable, still a puppy, but very mature. Lovely head and foxy expression, nice dark eye, correct neck and shoulder, good tail set and carriage. Liked her a lot and happy to award her RCC and BPIB. 2. Hills & Smail’s Vivica Fox At Toybox. Orange sable of good quality, definitely left her coat at home, but nevertheless constructed well, and had to take this place in this class. 3. Green’s Pomdelys Legally Blonde with Klassna. LB (6, 1 abs) 1. Cawthera-Purdy’s Lireva’s Tickles Her Fancy, handled to perfection by Miss F Matthews. Caught my eye as soon as she entered the ring, so full of herself and very confident. Orange with lovely square outline, super coat, short compact, beautiful feminine head, with dark oval eye. Super neck and shoulder and totally stole my heart. Delighted to award her her first CC, pushed the dog CC winner hard, but he just took the edge in the challenge. BOS. I am sure she will gain her crown. 2. Eyre’s Abbeyleigh Missandei At Pomeyre. Attractive, feminine bitch, with nice head, and expression, moved well, unlucky to meet the winner. 3. Graham’s Pomstyle Prada Infusion NAF TAF (Imp). OB (6) 1. Cawthera-Purdy’s Ch Lireva’s Future Dreams, quality orange bitch, who was very naughty and didn’t give her best today. Still had to win the class with her quality head, coat, body, and movement when she settled. 2. Davey’s Pomhaven’s Gotta Have A Dream At Klassna (Imp) Pushed hard to win this class, very pretty feminine girl in nice coat. Good head, eye and ears, nice body but not as short as winner. 3. James, D’Arcy & Duffield’s Ch Shelkovy Nos Unique Land Swout Wolf At Angelroc JW (Imp) VB (2) Thornton’s Ch Cradarr Military Fanfare ShCM. Worthy cream champion of lovely size, with super coat, very pretty head, with good mouth and ears. Moved well with her handler Miss T McGowan. BVIB 2. Adamson’s Veltuds Summer Lovin. Orange with less coat than winner, moved nicely, good front and topline, smaller eye than I preferred.
