National Terrier Club

Breed: Parson Russell Terrier

Thank you to the Officers and Committee of National Terrier for inviting me to judge and special thanks to my two stewards Brian and Colin.


I would like to thank all the exhibitors for their support and the manner in which they accepted my decisions. I was impressed with the quality and temperaments of the dogs and bitches and had some very tough decisions to make on the day.  


MPD (2) 1. Tinegate’s Milvinae All Black,a promising youngster, nicely proportioned for his age, good coat and pelt, nice length of neck and I liked his outline on the move. 2. Hughes Ruffntuff The Son Stays Close, a well made youngster, good coat and pelt, nice wedge shaped head, correct earset. Moved ok when settled. 


PD (2) 1. Bigland’s Heythrop Task Master, Lovely strong wedge shaped head and keen eye, easily spanned, good tight feet, nice narrow front and he moved out well.

2. Hance”s Riosset Right to Roam a very well presented youngster, nice shape of head, good coat and pelt, well proportioned moved out well.


JD (5:1) 1. Broadberry’s Mindlen Magnum At Ratscallion A very eye catching tri youngster who has such sound movement. Good wedge shaped head, good earset, nice lay of shoulder and retained a correct topline on the move. Coat and pelt excellent. RCC 2. Smith & Moon’s Heythrop Trickshot for Alncroft a lovely puppy who was certainly on his toes today. Handled so expertly by his young handler. Moved well, excellent coat and pelt, good wedge shaped head, all round sound movement BPIB 3. Hughes Jappatin Statesman of Ruffntuff (Ikc)


 GD (1) Broadberry’s Ratscallion Son of a Gun difficult to assess his movement as he was quite unsettled but to go over he was in proportion, nice wedge shaped head and ear set, had a good coat and pelt and was spannable


PGD (3) 1. King’s Bramarno Prince of Bohemia For Riosset A lovely proportioned dog to go over, good wedge shaped head, good earset, easily spanned, good coat and pelt, moved well both away and towards me. A dog very much in tune with his handler. 2. Bigland’s Heythrop Taggert T/W dog with strong wedge shaped head, good ear set and lovely pelt. moved well when settled. 3. Rutter’s Boultmoor Badge of Honor


LD (3:1) 1. Storey & Kelly’s Pacolito Simply Strategic at Brizanrae Sh Cm This T/W dog has an excellent wedge shaped head and correct earset. Easy to span, nice tight feet, good coat and pelt and moved out well. Pushed very hard for RCC 2. Sturdy’s Alncroft Imperial nicely proportioned dog with a good wedge shaped head and correct ear set, good coat and pelt and he moved ok 


OD (4) 1. Bigland’s Ardencote Tutor with Heythrop He took my eye the minute he walked into the ring, excellent proportions, lovely wedge shaped head, good earset, good lay of shoulder and strong hindquarters giving him plenty of drive on the move. Really couldn't put a foot wrong as he moved round the ring. Good coat and pelt and tailset. Was pleased to award him DCC and BOB. 2. Blair & Hadley’s Cleeve Hill Kasper Another lovely dog so expertly handled. A well proportioned dog with a good wedge shaped head and correct earset. Very sound movement away and towards me. Good coat and pelt and good tight feet. 3. Roberts & Young’s Ch Chadbrook Roux

MPB (1) 1. Wood’s Ardencote Tarka a little overawed by her experience today but she was handled sympathetically. It was difficult to assess her movement but what I saw made her worthy of her first place, she just needs time to mature. On the table she was easy to span, had a nice wedge shaped head and good ear set. good coat and pelt.


PB (2:1) Laird’s Drailam Honky Tonk Woman. A quality bitch with good wedge shaped head and correct ear set, in great condition, easy to span, lovely coat and pelt and her movement was sound both ways BPB and pushed hard for BPIB.


JB (5) 1. Roberts & Murray’s Mindlen Muskett A lovely bitch that took my eye the minute she entered the ring, really couldn't put a foot wrong on the move. Easy to span, good coat and pelt, lovely feminine head and correct earset. Held a correct top line on the move and she pushed very hard for top honours. 2. Dayman’s Pacolito Phinal Edition Another very smart bitch that was very well handled. Easy to span, lovely feminine head, correct earset, excellent coat and pelt. Moved well and held a good profile both moving and standing. 3. Kirkby’s Pacolito Recent Rumour

PGB (7:1) 1. Newport’s Digaden Runner Bean T/W bitch presented in good condition. Easy to span, good wedge shape head, correct earset, good coat and pelt. Moved well. 2. Newstead’s Proveits Poachers Choice Presented well, easy to span, nice shape of head, correct earset, good coat and pelt, moved well. 3. Blair’s Gonetoground Go Getter


LB (5) 1. Tinegate’s Milvinae All Aboard: A feminine bitch who caught my eye as she moved round the ring. Well balanced with good proportions, easy to span, good wedge shape head, correct ear set and keen eye. Excellent coat and pelt and held a correct top line on the move. Well handled. Moved effortlessly and I was delighted to award her BCC and she pushed very hard for BOB. 2. Collis’s Riplington Dream Image: Another well balanced bitch with good wedge head, coat and pelt. Easy to span, Moved well 3. Steele’s Digaden Get Up and Go


OB (8:2) 1. Smith & Moon’s Ch Alncroft Tussle: A bitch in excellent condition, good head proportions, nice dark eye, correct earset, good tight feet, well balanced bitch that moved effortlessly around the ring, good coat and pelt and very well handled RBCC 2. Bowden’s Pacolito Mistress At Llyunamill Sh Cm: Another lovely bitch of good proportions and in excellent condition. Easy to span, well balanced, good coat and pelt, moved well. 3. Rimmer’s Ch Kylini Mona Lisa JW Sh Cm
