Breed: Havanese

I believe this was the first time breed classes had been scheduled and it was nice that the classes were well supported with entries just a shame there were so many absent on the day.    Puppy (7,2)   1. Noton’s Parmanese Crazy About Her. An easy winner here amongst several nice babies that just weren’t happy in the ring and were not handled to an advantage. This 11 month old bitch was handled to perfection by her very young handler, really getting the best out of her (the other handlers in this class could have learnt a few things from this young lady!).  Nice headpiece with pretty eyes, good mouth, correct length of muzzle, slightly rounded, broad head with ears set and carried correctly.  Loved her balanced outline with enough neck, body developing correctly for age with good ribbing and substance, typical topline, correctly set and carried tail and moderately angulated rear.  Moved with such a happy gait, sound in all directions and with a lovely spring in her step. In lovely coat which was presented so well. Deservedly took RBB, BP and later was shortlisted in the puppy group, well done!   2. Gunn’s Dianaia’s Beautiful Day.  9 month old bitch who won this place on her more accurate movement coming and going and correct pigmentation. Pretty head and lovely expression with dark eyes and nicely finished muzzle.  Soundly made with good topline and tail carriage, good tuck up, moderate bone and good coat.  3. Baxter’s Odila White Pearl of Madagaskar (Imp Pol).  Junior (5,4)  1. Ford’s Clanlee Winners Circle. 14 month bitch with a delightful temperament and attitude in the ring.  Nicely balanced shape with correct topline, enough neck, good tuck up and moderately angulated rear. Nice head qualities with good pigment, dark eyes, broad skull and nicely finished muzzle. Moved happily with a lovely spring in her step.  Profuse coat which needed a bit of attention.  Post Grad (9, 6)  1. Maccallum-Sealy’s Pandaprints Anastasia. 18 month bitch in fabulous coat and condition who was handled to an advantage and presented to perfection.  Small and sturdy with moderate reach of neck, correct topline held firm both standing and on the move, well sprung ribs with good tuck up and nice rear assembly. Lovely head and expression with dense pigment throughout, dark correctly shaped eyes, moderate stop, well balanced length of muzzle and ears set and carried correctly.  Moved with style and confidence around the ring to win this class with ease. BB, BOS.  2. Westgate’ Wizzizz Desperado.  3 ½ year dog with masculine head, large dark eyes and super pigmentation.  Moderate reach of neck, good spring of rib, level topline with desired rise over loin, good substance and moderate bone.  In full, well presented coat, moved freely and happily. RBD.  3. Ford’s Clanlee Winners Circle.  Open (8,6)  1. Harper-Dediu & Bambrook’s Skystar’s Sonny.  Glamourous 20 month male in superb condition  with his beautiful coat presented without a hair out of place.  Loved his correctly balanced outline with good neck and shoulders, desired topline, good spring of rib, tuck up and rear assembly. Broad skull, slightly rounded between correctly set ears, correctly shaped dark eyes, dense pigment, good mouth and well balanced length of muzzle finished nicely.  Moved so accurately in all directions with a typical gait, holding his outline firm and carrying his tail correctly.  A super quality exhibit with such a typical outgoing temperament who just couldn’t be ignored. BD, BOB.  2. Maccallum-Sealy’s Mild Affair of Velvet Dreams (Imp Deu). Smaller 4 year old bitch who I see is dam of the BB. A little finer and narrower all through with good reach of neck, level topline with slight rise over loin, good tuck up and moderate front and rear angulation. Feminine head with nice eyes, correctly set ears, flat cheeks and good pigment. Moved freely.
