Scottish Kennel Club Championship Show

Japanese Chin

Dogs

Minor Puppy

1: CHOYA TADASHI (MRS R BANKS). 7 months old and a good one to start the day. I liked his head and expression. In superb condition and coat coming along very well. Balanced in outline and sound on the move. Still a baby but he has a great future ahead of him.

Puppy

1: LITTLETIGERS DAMAGE CASE AT SLEEPYHOLLOW (IMP IT) (MR A ALLCOCK MBE). What can I say? In walked this absolutely sensational puppy and I knew then and there it would have to be something mind blowing to beat him. Already all of a piece, he belies his tender age. His head and expression are textbook. Faultless for neck into topline and well set and carried tail. On the move he is precise on the out and back but in profile he takes your breath away and you find yourself mesmerised by his style and carriage. Super coat and presentation perfect. He is an absolute star of the future and we have not heard the last of him for sure. I could not get past him today and was delighted to award him the DCC, BOB and BP. Needless to say that I loved him, but to have two more eminent judges fall for his charms when he went on to win the Toy Group and Puppy Group simply made my day. He is one of those rare dogs that made the hairs on my neck stand up and will remain in my memory.

2: SLEEPYHOLLOW SOLOMON SEAFAR (MRS L RATTER. Another decent puppy who also had a very pleasing head and expression. Not as together as the winner as yet but time is on his side. Good coat texture and he moved on the right track.

3: LINJATO KANJIROU (MRS L A FLYNN)

Junior

1: TIANSHIH MIZUKI TAKARA (MISS E C JACKSON). 10 month r/w in full bloom. Won the class on his precision on the out and back. Decent head. In good coat, well presented. Cobby in outline and a delightful temperament.

2: LINJATO ISSEY MIYAKE (MRS L A FLYNN). Preferred the head and expression of this boy but he was just a tad erratic coming and going. Super for type and another well presented. He has a future when he settles.

3: OUZLEWELL ARTFUL DODGER OF DELPHLANDS (MISS M MOSS)

Post Graduate

1: SHARLARNA'S MAGICIAN (MR C F YOUNG). Easy winner of this class with a superb head and typical Chin expression. Excellent for neck into topline, well set tail. On the move he carries himself well in profile with precision out and back. In superb condition, well handled. He’s a good one and I’m sure with luck could be a title holder.

2: PAMOJILL POP STAR (MRS G M SWANSTON). Very balanced lad with good head and expression. Moved ok and is cobby in outline. Just not the style or finish of the winner today.

3: DZHUNKO GIN DE IMPERIUM AURI AT JAVALCY (MS J THOMAS)

Limit

1: SHARLANA MIRAGE (DR A G SCHEMEL). Compact and cobby this boy is all male. Delightful head and true expression. On the table he is good to go over with decent neck, good topline and well set tail. Powers around on the move but just a tad untidy going away. Considered him further and lost out on the RCC by a whisker. He is a certain title holder I’m sure, and I won’t disagree.

2: SHARLARNA THE TEMPEST AT AMRONCHI (MRS N GEORGE). Close up and very similar for type, just not the front of the winner and this is where it was decided today. However, they will change places on more than one occasion I have no doubt.

3: JAVALCY ROCK ON TOMMY JW (MS J THOMAS).

Open

1: HOLMCHIN SECRET AFFAIR WITH RAKUCHIN (MS T & MS S PEARCE & HANN).Very typical in outline and shape. Liked his head and expression and he is good to go over on the table. Very eyecatching on the move and extremely precise. Just couldn’t match the wow factor of the puppy today. RCC

2: SLEEPYHOLLOW BAROQUE AT ANJULI SHCM (MR L & MISS L & MS K GROGAN, LINDSAY & O'HERLIHY). Liked this boy too. Very pleasing to go over and he too is cobby. Not quite the neck of the winner but he moved well and put on a show.

3: YAMA I'M KIMI AMRONCHI (MRS N GEORGE).

Veteran

1: SLEEPYHOLLOW KNIGHT AND DAY AT DUNLINE JW SHCM (MRS J E MCLEOD). In superb condition, he won the class on the move and is eyecatching in profile. Good to go over and angles in the right place.

2: SHANTALLAH HARUTO AT SEAFAR (MRS L RATTER). Very typical in outline and another in superb condition. Lost out today in profile where he was just a tad lazy and had a tendency to pace.

Bitches

Minor Puppy

1: CHOYA TOMOMI (MRS R BANKS).Lovely puppy with a delightful head and expression. Well balanced and cobby with good topline and tailset. She has personality and style and although raw, potential in spades. Liked her

2: CRANVARL TRULY SCRUMPTIOUS (MRS L CRANE). Very raw baby but a decent outline and puts her feet in the right place. Time is on her side.

3: USAGI TSUKINO DE IMPERIUM AURI AT MIDORCHI (IMP RUS) NAF TAF (MISS D J ROBINSON)

Puppy

1: LINJATO MIMOKO (MRS L A FLYNN)

2: LINJATO MISHIKO (MRS L A FLYNN). Little to separate these two delightful puppies both of which with luck will be title holders. They are presented in superb condition and move with style and carriage. Both good to go over on the table, I just preferred the expression of the winner today.

3: MIDORCHI ANASTASIA (MISS D J ROBINSON)

Junior

Interesting class of juniors, all at different stages of their development.

1: SLEEPYHOLLOW DORIS OF CRANVARL (MRS L CRANE). Puts on a good show and has a superb expression. Good for neck, topline and front. Balanced in outline and moved with style.

2: SWIFTHOCKS PAWS FOR THOUGHT (MR S J, MR & MRS J & A ROONEY & GREEN). Compact young lady who moves very well. Dainty and well put together, just not the expression of the winner.

3: CHOYA SAKURAKO (MRS R BANKS)

Post Graduate

1: CRANVARL LE MISTRALL JW (MRS L CRANE). Good for size and type, dainty feminine girl. Decent head and expression. Good front, topline and precise on the out and back.

2: RAKUCHIN MAID FOR SAMARANDA (MRS K SCOTT). Close up but had a tendency to drop her tail when it mattered. Such a shame.

3: ALEEMAI WALK THIS WAY (MRS CURTIS)

Limit

1: ANJULI BERYL JW (MISS L LINDSAY). Decent for size and type with a lovely expression. Well-made front, good neck and topline. Well set tail. Moves with style and opens up in profile, yet retaining a dainty action.

2: ARRANBROOK IMPERIAL DANCER AT MITAPIP (MRS M CONSTABLE). Cobby and solid with a super head and expression. Liked her neck, topline and tailset. In super condition, just lost out in front to the winner today.

3: SLEEPYHOLLOW CALAMITY JANE (MISS T BURNS)

Open:

1: SLEEPYHOLLOW LA LA LAND (MR A ALLCOCK MBE). Glamourous and feminine who scores highly for type and condition. There is little you would change on the table and she comes alive on the move with superb footfall and lots of style. Her title can’t be far away and she is very worthy of it too. CC

2: SLEEPYHOLLOW MAVIS AT ANJULI JW (MISS L LINDSAY). Similar in type and another in superb condition. Lots to like about this young lady too, she was however not putting all in and wanted to throw her chances away.

3: YAMA MOONLIGHT OVER RAKUCHIN (MS T & MS S PEARCE & HANN)

Veteran

1: CH STEPHETER WANNA SHOUT FOR RAKUCHIN (MS T & MS S PEARCE & HANN). Have met this evergreen young lady before and have done her well in the past, having won a veteran group under me previously. She belies her age and can still show some of the youngsters what to do on the move. Typical and totally feminine, she is a delight. Close up today but had to settle for the RCC. Delighted to hear she won the Veteran Group.
