Blackpool Championship Show

22nd June 2018

Shar Pei

Dogs

Puppy

1: Morris’ ASHOWAI READY TO RUMBLE, 8 month old all male and all of a piece already. Beautiful head and expression, clean eyes and moved well on the out and back. It was this precision that won him the class today. Good for coat and texture. Correct topline and well set tail. Balanced in angulation and covers the ground in profile. Real star in the making and couldn’t get past him for the CC, BOB & BP

2: Jolly’s CHIFIDO READY TO SHINE FOR DOOLISH, 10 month old with a pleasing head and expression. Clean eyes and in very good condition. Not over done in any way. Moved well in profile just a tad erratic on the out and back today but his quality is obvious. RCC

Junior

1: Jolly’s CHIFIDO READY TO SHINE FOR DOOLISH

2:  Dawson’s LOUPEI’S PACO RABANNE AT QUINNHALO, in good condition, head shape ok and good clean eyes. Not the front of the winner but moved ok on the out and back.

Limit

1: Grimshaw’s SHARPUGGLES SPANISH RIDER, balanced in outline and coat of good texture. Moved ok and kept an outline in profile

Bitches

Puppy

1: Grimshaw’s HAFFERLAFFEN MOONLIGHT SHADOW AT SHARPUGGLES, Very pleasing for head shape and expression. Completely balanced in outline and moved out well for one so young. Good for topline and excellent tailset. Coat of good texture, in excellent condition.

2: Morris’ ASHOWAI READY TO BOOGIE, delightful head and expression  and her balance is super. Carrying a bit too much condition today and this affected her movement. But a real future ahead of her.

3: Rodrigues’ PONTSHANNON I DID IT ALL

Limit

1: Bull and Warren’s ZARALEE HUSSELL AND BUSSELL WITH STARFERRY (IMP), a very nice bitch indeed with a delightful head and expression, clean eyes and neat ears. Won the class on her front assembly and correct neck carriage. Balanced in outline, correct topline and well set tail. On the move she covers the ground with ease and uses herself well. I really considered her for higher honours here but felt that time would be to her benefit. Champion quality and a future title holder I have no doubt

2: Grimshaw’s SHARPUGGLES SPANISH LADY, another decent bitch and she too is balanced in outline. Not quite the front of the winner which is where the class was decided.

Open

1: Sutherland’s CH WITCHGAIT SECRET KEEPSAKE, although differing types both these bitches have so much to offer. The winner is completely balanced and sound. No exaggerations at all and keeps an outline in profile. In super condition, well handled. Cannot be overlooked on the move and this is where she scores highly. CC

2: Morris & Balmer’s COATAKINTI DOUBLE DELIGHT WITH ASHOWAI, delightful head and expression and she too is an excellent example. Today she just was a little erratic coming towards me and this sadly cost her. Superb for type. RCC

3: Greenhalgh’s BIDDLE LETS MAKE MAGIC AT MICHAYPEI.
