NORTHERN SCHNAUZER CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW 10th November 2018

My sincere thanks to the officers and committee of the Northern Schnauzer Club for inviting me to judge Schnauzers at the recent championship show, it was a great honour. Thanks also to all those who looked after me during the day especially my three stewards, David May, Karen Bradbury-Hall and Karen Fish for their hard work keeping things running smoothly. Last but not least my appreciation to the exhibitors and their dogs who turned out to support me, I had a super entry. I was particularly impressed with the behaviour and temperament of all the exhibits, a credit to their handlers.

POST GRADUATE DOG 1st Miss B Railton Odivane Master Class with Lefenix Typey 18 month old. Well angulated square dog. Good in head, neck and shoulder. Correct topline held on the move. Presented in good harsh jacket.

LIMIT DOG 1st Mrs J Scholes Maidluns On The Bright Side Nice type with excellent expression. Good in head, neck and shoulder. Good forehand and rib. Pleasing square outline, moved OK.

OPEN DOG 1st Mr & Mrs Bawden & Brown CH Khanate Gin Fizz ShCM This one ticked all the boxes for me. Great to go over, robust, full of quality. Excellent expression. Good forehand and spring of rib with good depth of chest. Good bone down to correct foot. Excellent outline. DCC & BOB 2nd Mr I Moore Ch Odivane Wizz Kid Another of quality with the keenest of expression. Good in reach of neck running in to correct topline held on the move. Well muscled, good angulation, moved with reach and drive. Pushed hard for RDCC. 3rd Miss L Lewington Int/Multi CH Leebren American Pie

VETERAN DOG 1st Miss D L Mather CH Danelbeks Cry O'Genics 7 year old not showing his age. Nice to go over. Good head with keen expression. Well laid shoulder and good angulation. Good bone down to foot. Presented in excellent jacket. BVD

MINOR PUPPY BITCH 1st Miss P Moore Fillipers As Good As New Promising young lady with everything in the right place just waiting to come together. Good for type, keenest of expressions, excellent temperament. 2nd Mr P Bradshaw Gateclyve Aurora from Kaiteriteri Another nice youngster needing time to get there. No obvious bad points, good luck to her future showing. 3rd Mrs J Searson Lefenix In The Style

PUPPY BITCH 1st Mrs J Watson Miccosukees Guess Who at Jalero Full of quality well balanced puppy. Good in head and expression. Good neck and shoulder in to correct topline. Excellent bone with correct foot. Pleasing on the eye. Excellent temperament. 2nd Mr & Mrs Walker Leebren Midnight Phoenix at Kathalan Nice black of good colour with dense harsh jacket. Nice to go over with lots of good points. A bit unsettled on the day.

JUNIOR BITCH 1st Mr I Moore Odivane Aunt Sally 11 month old of top quality. Excellent keen expression. Good head, neck and shoulder with good bone. Pleasing outline, good on the move. Sweet temperament. BPB 2nd Mr & Mrs Wise Uireda Joe's Lass Goes South to Brumist I also liked this very robust typey young lady. Good in head, neck and shoulder. Good forehand and spring of rib with good depth. Nice topline, moved freely. Great temperament. 3rd Mr M Beadle Lefenix Hearts Content

A great bitch to go over, very well put together and pleased me with her effort and movement on the day.
