I would like to thank the exhibitors for the excellent entry and the lovely friendly atmosphere which was created around the ring.

PD 3,1

1 Jolly’s CHIFIDO READY TO SHINE FOR DOOLISH. Best of Breed, Best Puppy and Best Special Beginners. This dog really caught my eye as he entered the ring in having many of the specific breed points which I was looking for. Little did I know at that time that he would end up as my best of breed. Lovely, typical square outline. Very appealing head with lovely small well-shaped fairly thick ears pointing towards the eyes. Nice eye shape and size with length of skull equal to length of muzzle. Excellent front angulation all together with a desired length of leg equal to body depth. Well developed chest for his age. Correct topline with the required rise over the loin, fairly flat croup and high tailset. Good width of well muscled upper and lower thigh. Moved soundly and effortlessly on well-shaped, cushioned feet; good harsh coat.

2 Webb’s Chifido Chasing Rainbows. Litter brother to my winner and again a very pleasing type with a lovely head, small well-positioned ears and lovely dark almond-shaped eyes of sufficient size and good frowning expression. Good depth of chest and well developed hindquarters. Correct harsh coat. Just not quite the topline of my winner. Moved soundly both coming and going.

2 Dawson’s LOUPEI'S PACO RABANNE AT QUINNHALO. Res BD. Lovely square outline with correct topline. Pleasing almond-shaped eye of nice colour. Small ears of triangular shape and set high on his well-proportioned head with sufficient padding on the muzzle. Good bone and required moderate rear angulation. Good coat texture. Not quite as true on the move as my winner.

3 Grimshaw’s SHARPUGGLES SPANISH RIDER

PGD 1

1 GARDNER’S MIJUJO PERCY VERANCE. A larger model, quite heavy in head. Nice ear shape with ears set high on the skull and far apart. Good length and strength of neck leading into well-placed shoulders and good return of upperarm. Straight forelegs, Excellent depth of chest, good bone and strong loin. Good width of upper and lower thigh and tight cat-like feet. Moved soundly fore and aft.

PB 4,2

1 GRIMSHAW’S HAFFERLAFFEN MOONLIGHT SHADOW AT SHARPUGGLES. Lovely square outline, well developed for age. Well proportioned head, good earshape and set on of ears. Broad muzzle with just sufficient padding. Excellent angulation fore and aft and sufficient length of neck. Good topline and tailset, good coat texture. Moved soundly with drive on compact feet.

2 MORRIS’S ASHOWAI READY TO BOOGIE. Very feminine with appealing expression. Lovely head and eye and sufficient padding on muzzle. Small, thick ears pointing towards eyes. Good depth of chest for age; correct moderate rear angulation, compact feet. Carrying a touch extra weight today which affected her movement a little.

3 WEBB’S CHIFIDO SUMMER BREEZE.

JB 2

1 Morris & Balmer’s COATAKINTI DOUBLE DELIGHT WITH ASHOWAI. Res BB. Lovely feminine head and kind expression. Correct ear shape and size, nice length of muzzle compared to length of skull. Flat skull and open nose. Excellent front and rear angulation, good spring of rib, strong, short loin with slight tuck-up. Lovely bone and compact, well-arched feet. She really strode out on the move.

2 Grimshaw’s SHARPUGGLES SPANISH LADY. Nice square outline. Head a little heavy, in particular muzzle and padding. Excellent spring of rib and short, strong loin. Good width of upper and lower thigh and well let-down hocks. Nice tailset, good harsh coat.

PGB 1

1 Lloyd’s SHARPUGGLES TALK ABOUT LUCK. Fairly square in outline, would prefer a little more rise over the loin. Pleasing head, eye and expression; very feminine head but with sufficient work in it; nice padding and large, open nose. Good length and strength of neck, excellent spring of rib and short strong loin. Moved soundly on compact feet.

OB 3,1

1 Bull & Warren’s ZARALEE HUSSELL AND BUSSELL WITH STARFERRY. BB. Lovely feminine head with sufficient wrinkling and padding but nothing overdone. Almond-shaped dark eyes; correct earset and ears of pleasing size and shape; large, open nose. Excellent well angulated shoulder with good return of upperarm combined with required moderate rear angulation. Excellent spring of rib and depth of chest. Good width of upper and lower thigh; good coat texture. Topline needs to firm a little but she has time as she is only 18 months old. Moved true with drive and really striding out.

2 Greenhalgh’s BIDDLE LETS MAKE MAGIC AT MICHAYPEI. Feminine head but would prefer a slightly longer muzzle. Nice earset and shape With tips pointing towards the eyes. Excellent depth of chest and nice rise over the loin. Good high tailset. Moved ok but just preferred head and movement of my winner.
