I would like to thank all the exhibitors for the lovely entry at this well-run show where CCs were not on offer and for the gracious way my decisions were accepted.

Junior Dog 2 Abs: 0

1 Harker’s HERNWOOD ACHILLES AT ETTRICK JW. Best Dog. Well grown for age with nicely proportioned head of good length, masculine expression and large, open nose. Excellent angulation infront and behind; good depth of chest, nice bone. Moved soundly on good feet, really covering the ground well with each stride. Should have a bright future.

2 Parker-Smith & Tuer’s LIGNUM EVOLUTION. Pleasing, typical outline; not quite as mature as my winner. Well-constructed throughout with nice eye and expression. Shown in hard muscular condition. Unfortunately his rear movement was all over the place today and therefore let him down.

Post Graduate Dog 5 Abs: 4

1 Abba’s HERNWOOD SUMMER LOVIN. Pleasing head, eye and expression; large open nose. Good bone and depth of chest. Would prefer a little more return of upperarm. Nice width of upper and lower thigh and well let down hocks. Shown in good coat. Moved a little close both coming and going.

Open Dog 3 Abs: 2

1 Burke’s ECAMEADOW THE-EXPORER. Res. Best Dog. Masculine head of good length, nice strength of neck. Excellent lay of shoulder and return of upperarm. Good depth of chest; nice length of upper and lower thigh and well let-down hocks. Good topline and coat of nice colour and condition. Covered the ground well on the move.

Veteran Dog 2 Abs: 0

1 Tong’s LIRIC SPECIAL TRIBUTE TO KELLIZLOT (AI) JW. Masculine outline with good length of head, large open nose. Nice bone, good depth of chest and short, strong loin. Well angulated hindquarters. Moved well fore and aft, really covering the ground well. Carrying a little extra weight over the shoulders.

2 Hill’s MARSHMOOR BERGAMOT WITH KYDARIN. A lighter model than my winner. Nicely balanced head with good eye and expression. Would prefer a little more width throughout the body. Good length of upper and lower thigh and well let down hocks. Moved a little close both coming and going.

Puppy Bitch 6 Abs: 1

1 Tillett’s FIELDTALK'S LADY IN RED (IMP DEU).Best Puppy. Lovely outline and shown in excellent coat and muscular condition. Feminine head with pleasing eye and expression and large, open nose. Good depth of chest and well ribbed back to strong loin. Nicely angulated hindquarters and good bone. Moved soundly both coming and going.

2 Hall’s MELVIEW PHOENIX . Not quite as mature as my winner but has all the essentials. Lovely, feminine well-proportioned head with nice eye and expression. Good topline and tailset. Excellent length of upper and lower thigh. Good coat texture and colour. Moved well.

3 Brown’s CAIRACAILIE CHIANTI WITH MARSHMOOR.

Junior Bitch 3 Abs: 0

1 Davies’ HERNWOOD ATHENA AT HERRERA. Lovely outline and shown in good coat and condition. Nice length of head and lovely eye and intelligent expression. Excellent lay of shoulder and return of upperarm. Good depth of chest and bone. Nicely developed over the loin. Moved well both coming and going.

2 Sandiford’s HERNWOOD APHRODITE. Similar comments apply as for my winner but just not quite as mature at the moment. Large open nose and shown in good coat and condition. Nicely made throughout with good bone and feet. Moved well fore and aft.

3 Tillett’s FIELDTALK'S LADY IN RED (IMP DEU).

Post Graduate Bitch 5 Abs: 1

1 Hill’s FARQUHARSON'S NIP OF GIN (IMP) WITH KYDARIN. Lovely length of head with nice eye shape and colour, good skull and muzzle shape and large, open nose. Good angulation infront and behind; nice depth of chest, good spring of rib and strong loin. Good hindquarters with nicely let down hocks. Moved well on good feet.

2 Roberts’ BIRCHGARTH BE BOP FOR MIRKWOOD. Another nice bitch, I just preferred the movement of my winner. Excellent angulation infront and behind with the best front in the class. Excellent spring of rib, good bone and feet, nice length of upper and lower thigh and well let down hocks. Rather boisterous and erratic on the move which made movement difficult to assess.

3 Beese’s LAINNIREACH LIBERTY BELL AT ASHHEYS.

Open Bitch 2 Abs: 0

1 Dixon’s ECAMEADOW SAFFRON WITH WALLBANK. Res. Best Bitch. Lovely, typical outline and shown in excellent coat and muscular condition. Nicely developed head with sufficient strength and depth in muzzle. Large open nose, excellent lay of shoulder and return of upperarm. Good spring of rib leading to short, strong loin. Excellent width of upper and lower thigh and well let down hocks. Nice topline which she kept well on the move. Moved soundly both coming and going.

2 Beese’s LAINNIREACH LIBERTY BELL AT ASHHEYS. Pretty head with nice eye and expression. Good earset; nice length and strength of neck. Excellent spring of rib, good bone and feet. Moved a little close infront.

Veteran Bitch 2 Abs: 0

1 Sandiford & Lewis’ SH CH HERNWOOD CALYPSO GODDESS JW ShCM. Best Bitch and BOB. A lovely, mature bitch shown in excellent coat and muscular condition. Feminine head of good length and nicely shaped skull and muzzle. Pleasing eye and expression and large, open nose. Excellent length and strength of neck. Good angulation fore and aft. Well let down hocks, good bone and feet. Correct topline which she held well on the move. Really covered the ground well on the move and moved very soundly in all directions.

2 Collingborn’s GRAYLACIER PRINCESS SOPHIA AT POLLYSPARK RL2. Very feminine in head and outline; nice eye and expression and large open nose; good earset and length of ear. Excellent front assembly and spring of rib. Good width of upper and lower thigh. Not quite the movement of my winner.
