National Gundog Association 5th August 2018 – Gordon Setters  I am so grateful for all the clubs who voted for me and gave me the opportunity to judge at this lovely show. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and I hope the exhibitors enjoyed themselves as much as I did. A special thanks to my stewards who kept things moving on a very hot day.  Veteran Dog 4 (2)  1st Mr G.F. & Mrs S.M. Tong Liric Special Tribute to Kellizlot 7 year old, showing little sign of aging. Well proportioned head with dark eyes. Straight front and good lay of shoulder. Correct height and proportion throughout.Moved with drive.  2nd S&R Timmermann & Cornum CIB/AM/IT Ch Ludstar Don Corleone Bigger heavier dog than one, but retaining balance. Not as steady om=n the move as my winner.      Minor Puppy Dog 4 0  1st Mr R.E,Mrs J.M. & Miss K.H. Roberts Cairacalie Spice of Life 8month old baby , mature for age, balanced and correct angulations, with correct level topline. Steady mover for one so young.  2nd Mr D, Mr D., Mr A., Mrs J, &K Alcorn, Crowther & Mac Lourdace Headhunted by Cromasaig Another sweet baby, with lovely head and expression, still very raw and will take his time to mature, but I am sure it will be worth the wait as all the proportions are there.  3rd Ms C Holloway Lourdace Headliner   Res Miss O.P., Mrs R.D. & Mr s. Mrs C.A. & Miss C. Sandiford & Lewis Hernwood Apollo Slightly bigger dog all round than my first place. Excellent straight front with good reach of neck and shoulder placement. Not as steady on the move today, as my winner.  3rd Mrs S. Gregg Locksheath Beach Comber       Special Beginners Dog 1 0  1st Mr R.& Mrs V. Hudson Longrow Bohemian Rhapsody at Robvale Stood alone. Well proportioned head with kind expression. Balanced dog but I would prefer him to have more substance.      Yearling Dog 3 0  1st Mrs S. Hamilton - Smith Kilnrae Signature Handsome youngster with lovely head , dark eye and kind expression. Pleasing front with good reach of neck and correct shoulder placement. Strong topline with well angulated rear. Steady mover  2nd R. S. & D Timmermann, Cornum & Welling Munroc Beretta (ATC AU0094 USA) Bigger dog than my winner. Balanced head with correct proportions. Wrigley Kattandale Canterbury Was taken with this dog, lovely head with good stop and kind eye. Good arch of neck and well constructed front. Strong rear end with well let down hocks. Moved with drive  2nd Mr P. Mrs L. & Miss N. Johnston Gordon – Sett Style Heartbreaker for Glenquin (Imp) Of similar type to one, with same qualities. Dark eye which gave an appealing expression. Balanced throughout. Moved well.  2nd  Mrs J. Collins - Pitman Aimscot Raisin Black Different type to the winner and was not quite as settled today. Balanced head with the kindest of expressions. Well angulated front and rear.  3rd Mr P. Tye  Kyuna Olympic Arrow of Tymora ShCM   Res Mr W.H. I have admired him from the ringside and was honoured to have the opportunity to go over him. He has definite ring presence.  Balanced throughout. Arched neck which flowed into well laid shoulders, level topline and excellent rear angulation and tailset. Moved with such drive. I was pleased to be able to add another CC to his collection of accolades! Dog CC   Sh.Ch. Lourdace Fulcrum JW Another worthy champion. I loved his head and expression. Completely free from exaggeration in every way, but everything in the right place! So well balanced  and moved an absolute dream,  CC and Bof B and Best Veteran  2nd Mr P. & Mrs C.A. Sandiford Sh Ch Kejajake Sapphire at Hernwood Slightly cobbier bitch than the winner, but another pretty girl who defied her age. Johnston  Glenquin Phoenix Pretty 8 month old baby. Sweetest of heads and expressions with a good reach of neck, and correct level topline, good outline for one so young.  2nd Mrs G Brown Cairacailie Chianti with Marshmoor Yet another pretty baby, with good front. Straight front with good shoulder lay , level topline and well angulated rear, all in proportion for one so young. Moved with style and drive. Mugford Pensylwania Black Lofty at Lynwood (Imp POL) Strikingly pretty bitch with good head proportions. Straight front, lovely arch of neck and excellent spring of rib. Well angulated rear short from hock to toe, which assisted the strong driving action she dispayed when moving.  2ND Mr G.F & Mrs S.M. Tong Benbuie Rose Quartz with Kellizlot Another attractive bitch with pleasing expression. Good length of neck and front composition. Level topline and correct tailset. Reid Diersett Sesto Elemento Another very pretty bitch with dark eye and melting expression. Slightly bigger bitch than the class winner, but retaining  balance which is essential in any setter. Good depth of chest and spring of rib. Appeared to be feeling the heat today.  3rd Mr & Mrs J. Amscot Siena Spice JW What a lovely class of show champions. This young lady oozed quality from her beautiful head down to the tip of her tail. Excellent angulation front and rear, correct size and so well balanced. This was reflected when she was on the move, looked like she could work all day regardless of the heat! Level topline with correct tailset. Plenty of rear angulation. Moved with drive.  2ND Mrs J. Collingborn Graylacier Princess Sophia at Pollyspark RL2 Different type of bitch to the class winner, balanced with straight front and level topline.
