I would like to thank the committee for their kind invitation to judge and the exhibitors for the pleasure of your lovely dogs and coping admirably in the very hot conditions.

1st: 7149 RICHARDS, Mr R & FLAHER Ms G Kagemusha Sunlight

8 month old liver dog, a cheeky chap who was full of fun and character. A quality puppy with lots of promise. Liked his overall size, substance and balance. He has a typical outline just needing time to mature. His head is starting to come together, showing the wedge shape, eye toning with the coat. Good strength to the neck which is showing the slight arch, deep in chest, ribs carried well back. Holding a firm topline stood and on the move. Moderate rear angulation. Moving out well behind with good width and drive, a little loose at present in front. Coat showing the tight crisp curls - BP

1st: 7146 MILLICHAMP Mrs B J Curlabull Dark Moon Rising At Wightcurls

Upstanding outline to this 20 month old black dog, proud and attentive. He has balance to his outline and strength all through, with the slight elegance required. Pleasing masculine wedge shaped head, lovely kind dark intelligent eye. His strong neck flowing well into a firm topline, falling away a little more at the croup. Lovely depth to the brisket and development to the forechest. Liked his hindquarters, showing good width of thigh. Still needing to tighten a tad more on the move but showing good drive. In good coat and condition.

2nd: 7145 LEGGETT Mr E J Kagemusha Ki-ken-tai

Mature 5 year old black dog, a slightly heavier set dog all through. He has good body proportions and is all male. He has the correct head type which is balanced and wedge shaped, dark eye and kind expression. Strong neck, very deep through the ribcage and well developed forechest. Straight and well boned forelegs onto tight feet. Firm topline, with hindquarters showing a nice sweep of stifle. Moving out true but I think the heat was a factor as he was a little sluggish today. Coat curls a little open

1st: 7151 STEPHENS Mr J & Mrs M B Sh Ch Brightmeadow Never Say Die JW Sh.CM

Fell for this 22 month old black dog, he is so very smart, upstanding and full of bred type, especially loved his outgoing and mischievous nature. When stood he has an impressive outline, having strength and substance, but nothing is overdone each part flowing seamlessly into the next. Thought him to be clean and sound throughout. He has a pleasing masculine wedge shaped head, dark oval eyes and gentle expression. Super depth and spring of the ribcage, with well developed forechest. Holding a firm level topline both stood and on the move. Well boned limbs onto tight feet. He has the desired moderate angulation. On the move a pleasure to watch, showing good drive and width behind and covering the ground with effortless strides. His body is covered in small tight curls. BD & BOB – Delighted to see him in the group go onto win Gp 3, very well done

2nd: 7147 MILLICHAMP Mrs B J Curlabull Iron Lion Zion Sh.CM

An impressive 6 year old black dog, showing all the virtues of a super Curly in prime condition. Thought him to have quality in abundance, with a clean outline showing lovely body lines. He has an upstanding demeanour, with substance yet a hint of elegance. He has the correct wedge shaped head which is well proportioned and a lovely dark eye. Strong muscular neck, deep brisket and well developed forechest. Holding his firm topline at all times, with strength to the hindquarters. He is very attentive to his handler and willing to please, moving positively just not quite the drive of winner today. Shown with a good tightly curled coat - RBD

1st: 7144 JONES Mr A & Mrs E M Lizallwood Hello Again

2 year old black bitch, just coming into her own, with a pleasing feminine outline on the stack. Liked her overall size and body lines. Feminine head of good proportions and shape, dark kind eye and well placed ears. Clean neck, deep through the body with a good spring to the ribs. Like her firm topline which was kept both standing and on the move, with a well carried tail. Her hindquarters show a good width to the thigh with the desired moderate angulation. She moved out true, just not the drive today of the winning bitch. Lovely coat with a tight crisp curl. - RBB

1st: 7143 CARRICK, Mrs F & CARRICK Miss C Tessmene Ooo La

Very shapely 2 year old black bitch, she has pleasing body lines with a lovely flow and a real ring presence. She has the desired strength all through but also elegant and feminine, giving an imposing silhouette. Feminine head, with a good length to the foreface and a kind dark eye. Strong slightly arched neck, deep brisket down to the elbow, and legs well underneath her. Firm topline, hindquarter have a good width of thigh, ample rear angulation. Moving out with good drive and in harmony with her handler to show the powerful side gait. Crisp curls to the coat – BB & BOS
