I would like to thank the exhibitors for a lovely entry, both numerically and in the depth of quality. The weather was relatively kind to us, with only the odd quick shower. We had a lovely big flat ring. I hope you all enjoyed your day as much as I did

1st: 3095 BUCKWELL Mrs W A Killena Ghostrider

Nicely balanced 11 month old when stood, having a shapely outline. He was a little unsure of his surroundings today. Pleasing head piece, with a lovely dark eye giving a kind expression. He has a good length of neck, enough depth for his age with a good spring to the ribs. Moderately boned limbs, well bent stifle and width of thigh. On the move he needs to settle, but showed to be true - BP

Very smart 15 month old dog, he has style and charisma. Loved his alert attitude, very much a showman. Liked his overall size and balance and nothing is overdone. He has a lovely head, masculine yet refined, good length and strength to the neck, which flowed well into his firm topline and tailset. Starting to mature nicely through the body, with moderate rear angulation. He has precise and powerful movement

2nd: 3122 WORTH Mrs C A Sarabande Lord Of The Dance (ai)

Another with much to admire. A more refined dog all through, not quite the bone or substance of the winner, but only just out of puppy. Thought him to be a lovely size and has a clean and shapely outline when stood. His dark eye and chiselling giving a lovely melting expression. Having a good flow from nose to tail. He is right for depth for his age. Hindquarters moderately angulated and an ever wagging tail. Nicely presented and condition. Moving out with good drive

Eyecatching 2 year old, loved his happy and cheeky nature, never stopped showing. Like him for his overall size and balance. Masculine head with dark kind eye. He has a clean neck of good length, enough depth to the ribcage which is well sprung, a tad longer in loin, nicely boned limbs onto tight feet. Well developed hindquarters which he used to drive happily around the ring

2nd: 3092 BENNETT Mrs T Helgen Romeo The Lover

This 2 year old is slightly longer cast than winner, but showing a shapely outline. Thought him to have a well shaped head, which has good balance of backskull to foreface, well chiselled and a gentle dark eye. He has good depth and spring to the ribs, and well boned legs. Hindquarters show a good bend of stifle. Moving out soundly, just carrying his tail a fraction higher.

Oh my, this 3 year old dog certainly commanded my attention today! He has quality in abundance with a super ring presence, even if he was being a bit of a muppet at times. Loved him for his overall size, substance and masculinity. He has strength, but with no hint of coarseness. He has the most gentle of expressions, the typical welshieness, with good balance, well chiselled, nice rounding to the back skull and those pleading eyes. His long and strong neck flowing seamlessly into his well held topline, with depth to the ribcage, super bone, tight feet, width to the hindquarters and stifles which are well bent. Turned out to perfection in gleaming coat, even in the rain. On the move he just flowed, holding a firm topline and has lovely parallel hind movement showing drive – BD & BOS

2nd: 3094 BROWN Mr A & Mrs H Bowdonia Ozzie

Honest workmanlike 3 year old, again a nice stamp of a dog, pleasing outline when stood. He has a pleasing head shape, a fraction lighter in eye colour, with lovely chiselling and dark pigmentation. He has a strong neck, well developed through the brisket, firm topline, with a good width of thigh and in good muscle tone, short hocks. Strode out on the move

Another fabulous 3 year old dog, showing all the virtues of a top class welshie. He is so very smart and a real eye catcher for his balance and type. A lovely dog from all angles. He has the most appealing head, soft and gentle in expression, well chiselled and a super dark eye. His neck is clean and with strength flowing well into a well held topline, well developed forechest and depth to the brisket, short coupled, with a good width of thigh and bend to the stifle. He has a lovely side gait, showing enthusiasum and drive, whilst holding his outline. Today not quite as positive behind, but it really was just knit picking. 2nd: 3121 WOODHAMS Mr & Mrs S & J Tobermyn Minstrel Boy

5 year old dog who has a pleasing outline on the stack, from a slightly more refined mould than winner, and fractionally longer cast. He has a lovely happy and outgoing demeanour. Masculine head, with a dark eye. Clean through the neck, good depth, straight forelimbs onto tight feet. Holding a firm topline, good width and muscletone to the hindquarters, which he used to move positively around the ring

Striking 11 month old bitch puppy, really liked her overall shape and balance when stood. Shame she did not seem too happy with the surroundings today and did not settle on the move. Her head is starting to develop, with a nice dark eye. Good length of neck, lovely depth and spring to the ribcage, short coupled, firm topline, well set on tail, pleasing hindquarters, with width to the thigh. She showed to be true fore and aft just not showing herself to advantage

An elegant bitch just out of puppy, lots to like about this youngster, she has good body lines and a lovely flow to her. She has a balanced head shape and melting expression from those dark gentle eyes. Enough depth for her age, just needing to gain maturity through the body, which will come with time. Moving out happily and with good drive

2nd: 3117 WALLER Miss R Isfryn Lady Godiva at Fireglow

Very close up to winner. Liked the substance and bone of this 15 month old, she has a pleasing outline of good proportions. Feminine head, good length of neck, ribs are well sprung, still needing to drop into herself a little more, good width to the hindquarters. Moving out purposefully, not quite as precise as winner today

Such a pretty feminine bitch, who is coming up 2 years of age. Liked her balanced outline, shapely and feminine. She has an appealing head, well proportioned, with good chiselling, rounding to the backskull and a super dark eye. Good length of neck flowing into her well held topline. She has enough depth, a fraction longer in loin, well bent stifles. Moving out well

2nd: 3118 WATSON Mr B P & Mrs G Welingerhill Garden Tiger Of Hillpark

A different stamp to this 5 year old bitch, being more compact in outline. Liked her bone and substance. She has a pleasing head a fraction stronger than winner, but still very feminine, lovely dark eye giving the gentle expression. Good length and strength to the neck, lovely spring of rib and depth, short coupled, well bent stifle. Moving out with drive, not quite the precision of winner today

Close call between first 2. Winner a 19 month old bitch. Liked this bitch, she is shapely and feminine, but to be picky would like a fraction more length of leg for complete balance, she has quality and looked a picture stood. Balanced head shape, well chiselled and good shaped backsull. She has a good length of neck, which flows well into her firm topline and well set on tail. Deep through the body, with a good spring of rib. Stifles well bent with good muscle tone. This bitch came alive on the move, she stormed around the ring showing power, reach and drive, along with precise footfall. Beautifully presented. RBB

Another lovely bitch with so much to admire. This 3 year old is so smart in outline, very pleasing to the eye. Looking lovely from any angle. She has substance and femininity. She has the most feminine of heads, with those pleading eyes. Strength and depth through the body, well boned limbs onto tight feet. She has a lovely side gait, showing extension and reach, today could not match winner on drive and foot fall.

Just loved her. This 3 year old bitch is a totally balanced picture, when stood she has an impressive outline and of top quality. She has substance and elegance combined, workmanlike yet stylish. Nothing is over done, just a lovely very well balanced welshie. She has good balance to her head, with good chiselling, kind dark eye and the gentlest of expressions. Her clean neck flows seamlessly into her well placed shoulders, and then firm topline. She has strength and substance through her body, short coupled. Hindquarters show good width of thigh and bend to the stifle. All topped off with a nicely feathered coat. Moving at one with her handler, being free and positive in her movement – BB & BOB, delighted to watch her get shortlisted in a lovely group

Compact bitch coming up 4 years of age. Like her for her overall size, feminine all through. She has good balance when stood. Her head is feminine, a little rounder in the eye, but still having a kind expression. Good length of neck, well bodied, firm topline, falling away a little at the croup, well boned limbs and tight feet, moderately angulated hindquarters. Moving out well

A lovely treat to see this dog who is coming up 10 years old. What a wonderful embassador for the breed. Looking in great shape and fit. When stood he presents a lovely outline. Like him for his size, substance and masculinity. Only a smattering of grey around the muzzle to show his age. His expression is so gentle. His body has good depth and spring to the rib, limbs well boned, with pleasing hindquarters, showing good width of thigh and bend of stifle. Moving out with style. Well handled and presented - BV
