1ST - THEON OF THE STORM (MS L & MRS G STEELE & PINK)

Very shapely light brindle 7 month old male. Well balanced with shapeley outline and good proportions. Nice head, well folded high set ears. Good length, well arched neck. Well angulated front and rear. Short pasterns and tidy feet. Typical profile movement. Needs to tighten coming and going. A promising puppy.

2ND - COTHERSTONE DALMORE (MS J TAYLOR)

Not the bone or balance of 1, but a well proportioned, 8 month old dog. Dark eye, well pigmented. Balanced angulation but would prefer a little more fore-chest. Good well knuckled feet. Nice profile movement when he settles. Needs to straighten up in front.

3RD - STRANWITH RATAGAN AT STUBBYLEE (MR A, MR N & MRS E DAWSON)

Junior - Dog

1ST - KILBOURNE SHRIKE (MR M J & MRS G M PEACH)

A very promising well grown 13 month old dog. Good outline, balanced and well made throughout. Masculine head, well set on neck. Excellent ribbing, well carried back with long breastbone. Shapley hindquarters, good turn of stifle and width of first thigh. Moved well up and back and typically in profile movement. Very unfortunate to go slightly unlevel in the challenge for best dog.

2ND - GREYHAWKS ROMANIE LACHO WITH TANNANTSIDE (MS L & MR PJ STEELE & TANNANT)

Two days older than winner but clearly a much later maturing dog so not yet such body or development. Shapley in profile especially when he lets himself down on the move. Well proportioned head, long neck, well made forequarters but could be truer in front. Muscular back and hindquarters, drooping croup. Moderate turn of stifle, good width of second thigh and nice broad hock. Feet could be more tidy. Can stride out well, but not yet settled in action up and back.

3RD - KALEGINY ELDRIGG AT GRENDEL (MRS J A METSELAAR-WILLIAMS)

Yearling - Dog

1ST - KILBOURNE LLOYD (MR M J & MRS G M PEACH)

Very well balanced 22 month old dog with pleasing outline and good proportions. Masculine head of good proportions, good pigment and well set tidy ears. A well made front, good bone, short pasterns and tidy feet with well arched toes. Well ribbed back with good top-line and width and length to pelvis. Nice width of first and second thigh. Very positive action in front and behind. Could have been a little more enthusiastic going around, where he presented a typical side gait. Reserve DCC

2ND - KILLOETER TAM DUBH (MRS S CUMMINGS)

Powerfully made dog but not quite the front, fore chest or positive front action of 1. Masculine head. Well laid shoulder and good return of upper arm. Good bone, short pasterns and tidy well shaped feet. Particularly powerful hindquarters with super width of first and second thigh and broad well set low hocks.

Masculine 2 ½ year dog with harsh dark coat and pleasing outline when he relaxes and settles in his top-line. Masculine head, high set well folded ears. Excellent pigment. Good ribbing. Feet well made. Muscular hindquarters. Good length from hip to hock. The best movement in profile of this class.

1ST - GREYHAWKS ROMANIE DROM (MRS G PINK)

Quality dog of excellent type. I loved his outline and proportions. Substance and bone with curves and lightless of action. He has length of leg with good straight flat bone and depth of chest with correct spring of rib. His drooping croup is wide and carries powerful muscling with a low tail set. He could be slightly truer in front movement but is straight going away and typical in profile movement if occasionally reluctant, which I forgave for DCC but which held him back challenging my best bitch.

2ND - PACKWAY LOXLEY NORTON (MRS S BAUMANN)

A dog I have admired not giving of his best today. Unwillingness to let down spoilt his outline and front movement today. I liked his head and expression, ears, neck, ribbing, hindquarters, first and second thigh and tidy well made feet. Good in coat and condition.

3RD - BEARDSWOOD STRAHAN AT PEOPLETON (MR J, MISS W, MRS H & DR S FRANCIS, BLATCHFORD & HELPS)

2ND - CH RUBEUS HAGRID TO KILBOURNE (MR M J & MRS G M PEACH)

Another quality dog but not quite the masculine scope of 1. Soundly made with pleasing head, tidy ears, well set neck and shapely ribbing. A nicely proportioned sound moving hound.

1ST - COTHERSTONE SERENADE AT KALEGINY (MRS K CONSTANTINE)

An immediately striking, balanced, well made bitch of lovely type. She is young, yet settled in the ring and has a certain presence. I loved her proportions and outline, her construction and movement. Typical in profile and moves true even as a minor puppy. With a soft feminine expression, high set well folded fine ears, good sized well knuckled feet and a correct tail to set it all off she is a very promising prospect indeed. Best Puppy.

1ST - CLAONAIGLEN COLLUSCA (MR T A & MRS S MCKINNON)

A very soundly made bitch who was a pleasure to go over. Although slightly wide in front she is well made without exaggeration. Well set neck, good shoulders and muscular back. Good depth, spring and length of ribbing. Powerful hindquarters with well developed first and second thigh. Good movement. Reserve BCC

2ND - REGALFLIGHT RACER (MRS J BOND)

Although not the substance or balance of 1 in profile this 4 year old bitch presented a pleasing outline and proportions. She has a lovely head and expression, super ears, excellent ribbing. I liked her light typical profile movement but overall she seemed not to be trying or cooperating with her handler today.

A nice type, this bitch has pleasing proportions, lovely head and expression with super furnishings, tidy high set ears, pleasing neck and shapely, well made hindquarters. Lighter made throughout and not quite the front of 1.
