Japanese Spitz

My first time with CCs for this lovely breed and it was a terrific entry. I have watched the breed progress for many years and I think my lines ups showed the depth of quality in the breed. Having said that, there were a noticeable number of dogs with a lot of colour in the coat. Also, something I have never noticed before, a few dogs with a very marked stop leading to a furrow across the skull.

What a charming puppy. Beautifully put together with a lovely head piece, dense pigment and pointed, well set ears. Very satisfying to go over with good neck, body and couplings. Enjoying life to the full and moving out soundly and with enthusiasm when settled. Very Promising. BPD and BP

2nd: 5362 PITTOCK Mrs T Itoshi Toto Kijutsu At Cheechako (ai) (Imp)

More advanced than 1 at 8 months. Looking very finished. Attractive head and expression. Good steady mover.

1st: 5367 ROPER Mrs A Kessaku Ice And A Slice at Tokosha

Scores heavily in overall soundness with a noticeably excellent rear assembly ; width across thigh; good, solid rear pasterns. Very typical head. Excellent tail set. Overall picture spoilt by lack of some under coat but what was there was of a good texture.

2nd: 5375 TURNER Mrs D A & Mr P Mayumi's Simply The Best

Very well coated but lacking neck. Front and rear action not good. Good body and strong loin. Very well presented.

An interesting class to sort out

1st: 5329 BAMBRIDGE Mrs P Tartiko Singapore Sling

Lovely profile with profuse coat. Good bone but not excessive. Excellent tail set. Very sound dog on the move in all directions. A well balanced dog.

2nd: 5357 MOOTAZ Mrs S G Charney Tsukino With Tazapash

Excellent head and expression with dense pigment. Good quality bone and lovely to handle on the table. Pushed 1 hard, but I preferred the movement of the winner.

Very well presented boy with good outlook. Excellent head shape and ear set. Moving out soundly with good legs and feet. Won this class on overall construction.

2nd: 5338 CASTORINA Mrs A Charney Taka

Good head and reach of neck. Good tail set. Looking a little long in rear pastern at the moment on the stack however moving freely.

3rd: 5382 WARREN Ms S Kessaku Scooby Doo

Very satisfying in many points. Good profile, Good head shape and eye set. Excellent tail set. A very sound mover in all directions. Would prefer a darker eye.

Profuse coat and good plume on the well set tail. Lovely eye colour and dense pigment. Could be better angulated at both ends, but still a balanced dog. Good legs and feet.

Good head and eye with pointed ears; dense pigment and dark eyes. In glorious coat and a lovely picture overall. DCC, BOB and shortlisted in the group.

2nd: 5350 GORMAN Miss J M Chezzay's Pole Position At Fleurlilly (Imp) JW

Slightly smaller male all over but still within standard. Presenting a good profile and with pleasing head piece. Very sound on the move and moving with balanced side gait. No colour in the coat. Good plume and tail set.

3rd: 5355 MOODY Mrs J Anlemar Hubble Bubble

Well coated dog with many good qualities. Well pigmented. Good bone and body. Good legs and feet. Moving out soundly. Perhaps not the ‘glamour’ of some but a good, honest dog. BV and ResCC.

Despite having a silly two minutes, this is a lovely puppy. Such a sound baby when settled. Excellent tail set. Plush coat, well presented. Very promising.

Presents a picture and such a flashy mover. Many correct breed attributes and presented flawlessly. She tends to stand outside herself which spoils the overall balance.

Heavier in build than 1. Currently a mark on the nose spoils her expression. Very heavily coated, which tends to hide her construction attributes. Good body and strong loin. Very small feet. Moving out with balance and style. ResCC
