BOSTON CH SHOW 2018

BULLMASTIFFS

Thank you to exhibitors for a numerically strong entry for a non CC breed and for your warm welcome. There were a couple of quite ‘wet’ heads here today.

Puppy - Dog

Entries: 7 Absentees: 2

1ST COPPERFIELD MUDDLEBRAINS (MR W & MISS A WARREN & WHITE)

Quality youngster and a good size and well developed for 9 months old

Old. Typical head piece, good neck and straight front. Well laid

Shoulder. Coupling could be a little shorter and rear needs to

Tighten a little more, but a very free mover with lots of style. BPD

2ND NODAROBULLS JAMES TIBERIUS KIRK AT STONEGLAD ( MR R CHUCCI)

At 8 months, another promising puppy. Medium sized lad with good profile.

Strong neck and good width across back. Rather foreward placed in upper arm

at the moment. Quite long stifles that show on the move with a lot of stride

behind. Again, he needs to strengthen in the rear pasterns.

3RD PLEATS SURPRISE ATTACK FOR DELARHIA (MRS D C & MR S & MISS L A TODD & SMITH)

Junior - Dog

Entries: 3 Absentees: 0

1ST STONEGLAD JUMPIN JACK FLASH (MISS L & MR B MARSHALL & TANKARD)

Very masculine with broad skull and well placed eye. Straight parallel front

When standing. Excellent body. Well muscled and in good overall condition. Moving

Freely.

2ND ZOBULLEA'S KOOLER THAN ME AT KEEPERSWATCH (MISS J OWEN)

Strongly made and quite impressive youngster. Good bone throughout.

Good proportions overall but needs to fill out a bit more yet. Very well

Muscled.

3RD STONEGLAD SOULFIRE (MR P & MRS C LATTER)

Post Graduate - Dog

1ST STONEGLAD JUMPIN JACK FLASH (MISS L & MR B MARSHALL & TANKARD)

Repeat of last class but the better movement won him this class

2ND STONEGLAD SISQO (MR P & MRS C LATTER)

The type is lovely and very impressive standing. Bone is good and ribbed well

back. Needs to settle into his legs more on the move and find his moving

 balance.

3RD JESSIEMAI FRONT PAGE NEWS (MISS M PORTER)

Open - Dog

Entries: 5 Absentees: 2

Very exciting class to judge.

1ST CH HYERDUNSCAR ON A MISSION WITH COULBYMOOR JW (J A DAVIES)

Young male at 2 years but so much to like. Typey in the head but with no

Exaggeration.

lovely neck and crest. Strong body and lovely bone throughout. Presented in

immaculate order for the show ring. I think there is still a little more maturing

to do yet, but what an exciting dog. Moved with great enthusiasm and style. BD

2ND CH OLD MANILA'S WHISKY MAC FOR OPTIMUS JW (MR P J & MISS D MYERS & MORGAN)

Another worthy champion who is excellent for profile with great bone, chest

Shape, coupling and croup. I thought he was looking a little tired and was not

As free or precise on the move on 1. Res BD

3RD KLAUS BLOOD LUST (MR T P, MRS L, MR S & MS K A SIMPSON)

Puppy - Bitch

Entries: 7 Absentees: 2

1ST OPTIMUS PANDORA (AI) (MR P J & MISS D MYERS & MORGAN)

Liked this bitch puppy very much. Well made and proportioned with lovely

Outline. Beautiful head piece with defined muzzle shape without being

Pinched. Lovely across the skull and into the ear set. Excellent rear

Development and overall balance. Moved out very well. BPB. BP in breed

Lovely to see her come 2nd in the Working puppy group.

2ND COPPERFIELD GEORGIANA (MR W & MISS A WARREN & WHITE)

A different head style, being shorter by proportion in muzzle and also

Quite throaty. However, very well made with good bone. An excellent body

Good stifles well used on the move. Topline needs to settle. Very promising.

Both these puppies have to be bright prospects.

3RD OPTIMUS EUPHORIA (MISS C, MISS R, MR P & MISS D THOMAS, BULL, MYERS & MORGAN)

Junior - Bitch

Entries: 3 Absentees: 1

1ST RUBY MOONLIGHT (MISS K H & MR R A HILL & HEIL)

A statuesque girl who has many qualities. Stacked she looks an absolute

Picture and moving out she is stylish and sound, her muscling and condition

Showing . I wouldn’t want her any

Bigger. Feet could be better but generally what a handy bitch to have for a

Breeding programme.

2ND PLEATS OSHA THE WILDLING (MRS E M & D TRIM)

Smaller bitch and not as well developed for age as 1 nor the overall condition.

Moving freely and

Soundly but looking a little long at the moment.

Post Graduate - Bitch

Entries: 2 Absentees: 0

1ST OPTIMUS DIVA (MR S & MRS J, MR P & MISS D TURNER, MYERS & MORGAN)

Elegant girl standing four square. Enough muzzle and an appealing head.

Well muscled and moving out with style.

2ND MARCHMANOR HUNNI TRAP (MRS D GARRATT)

Bulkier bitch and rather thickset throughout. Moving freely but not with the

Presision on 1.

Loved these two girls.

1ST CH HYERDUNSCAR THE BIG TEASE JW IJCH CJW 16 (MRS J LINDLEY)

Very much appealed to me from the minute she walked in the ring. There is a

Precision of balance which is hard to define sometimes, but Balance is what

This girl excels in. Very typey head piece without being overdone at all and

the breadth of skull and ear carriage are excellent. She is

Beautifully made throughout, hard to fault and has excellent feet, something

That seems to be ailing in the breed if today’s dogs were a true representation.

Moving out showing a true front and balanced rear to match. Very pleased to

See her short listed in the Working group.

2ND ROYCEPRIDES JUNO (MRS E M & D TRIM)

Another excellent bitch. The winner appealed to me more for the headpiece

But this is a mature bitch with good strength throughout. Excellent stifles

And moving very soundly. Rather severe cut back behind the rib cage

Which spoils the overall body profile somewhat. But a lot to like there as well

RBB.
