Breed: Stakes Classes

Gundog Breeds of Scotland Championship Show 10th November 2018

Stakes classes

Members Stakes (13)

1 Thomson’s English Setter Mariglen Fetlar Caspellwynd

Looked really well today. Elegant but still masculine. Balanced head with kind expression, dark eyes and well set ears. Good ribs with both width and depth. Strong over his quarters with good second thigh and hocks well let down. In full coat and good condition. Worthy of his title.

2 Scott and Legg’s Hungarian Viszla Sh Ch Rhapsody in Blue

Lovely to go over and nicely put together. Feminine through with enough substance, she has a clean neck of good length, well laid shoulders, firm topline and well angulated quarters. She moved easily. Well presented.

3 Milligan’s GSP Isara Kurzhaar All Spice

Field Trial (4)

1 Smith’s Gordon Setter Yennadon Fairisle of Clacorick

Mature and presented a super outline. Balanced in head with dark eyes and good ear placement. Clean in neck with good layback of shoulder. She has good rear angulation and was in first class coat and condition. Worthy winner.

2 Shaw’s Hung Viszla Oroshaza Fiocchi of Dinnsearmor

Well put together and again in such good coat condition. Well boned legs and lovely feet. Well laid shoulders. In really good muscular tone.

Brace (8)

This was a tricky class as all present were well matched and going well: A credit to their owners.

1 Holt’s English Springers

Lovely type and quality. Classic heads and both well bodied. Moved well and looked super together in profile.

2 Miller’s Gordon Setters

Two brothers, typical of the breed, both with plenty of quality. In super coat and condition. Moved in unison. A close decision.

3 Smith’s Labradors
