Chihuahua (Long Coat)

Many thanks for the super entry which I greatly appreciated. As an outsider in the breed I feel you need to pay attention to dentition which I realise it is not everything but a correct bite is important! Some rear action in the younger exhibits was weak. Most exhibits were presented in good order.

Many thanks for the sporting manner in which my placings were received and finally thanks to my two excellent stewards who kept everything in good order.

1ST IR CH IDYLLIUM'S SHOWMAN (MRS M THORPE)

This chap scored greatly for breed type, lovely head and eye, well placed ears, true front, well bone straight front legs. Super well ribbed body of the correct shape. Well placed and carried tail. He was presented in tip top show condition and carried a wonderful well-presented coat that was gleaming. He moved adequately but appeared not to like the floor and tended to pull to one side. Despite this his sheer excellent breed type and super body qualities carried him through to the CC. Well done. In the challenge for best of breed the bitch displayed better freedom in movement which gave her the edge.

2ND TH CH WINCHI'S NOAH ANOU [ATC AU00801THA] (MISS L & MISS R HARGREAVES)

1ST RUSHWARDENS ULTRAVIOLET OF TIDOS (MRS S ROBSON)

Well this fawn girl proved to be my CC & BOB winner. At 16 months she is maturing nicely, quality head and eye, and looks at you correctly, alert and keen when free standing. Very good over the neck and shoulder, correct front and rear angulation. Good legs and feet, well ribbed body of the correct shape. Well set and carried tail but she comes into her own on the move with her sound free flowing stride, being true front and back and displaying outstanding profile movement. Great carriage and style on the move which carried her through to the CC and tipped the scales in her favour for BOB. Well done.

2ND SUNNY LION VARVARA DONAMI (IMPUKR) (MRS C MINTON)

This 20mths bitch was presented in top condition, expressive head, with well-placed ears, clean over the neck and shoulder, decent bone, good body, moved true out and back but not the length of stride of the winner. Good body properties, carried her tail well, coat of good texture.

1ST CH GO MY WAY JP'S BLACK CHERRY (IMP JPN) (MRS S ROBSON)

This well-known bitch is no stranger to me. Lovely head and eye, well set and carried ears, good straight front however today on the move she was a touch wide coming towards which pegged her back in the challenge for the CC to her kennel mate. Never the less, super construction, good rib, good hindquarters and tailset. She moves out with purpose and style and will always be a strong contender for top honours. Pleased to award her the res CC.

2ND CH DONAMI LIMELIGHT (MR S J ROONEY)

Another super specimen who pushed the winner very hard and will always be up among the top winners. Pleasing to go over, expressive head, quality bone, good legs and feet, well ribbed body with super topline. She was good on the move and retained a good outline in profile, the winner just pipped her at the post with her exceptional drive from the rear. Never the less a lovely bitch.

This lovely 10 ½ girl enjoyed her day out and still retains many qualities, appealing in head, good construction throughout and another with good carriage, just not as free on the move as the winner.
